The red light district of Aruba, where all of the bars are located, is in San Nicholas, a town at the southern end of the island. It is about a 25 minute drive south of the main town of Oranjastad and the cruise ship docks.

The chicas that you saw in the doorways are the same chicas as those found in the bars and clubs. The bars bring over gals from Columbia and Dominican Republic for 3 month stays. Each chica lives in her own small room attached to the club/bar that hired her. (The doorways are how the chicas get to and from their rooms when their bar is closed.) Each bar usually has about 4-6 chicas working there. The chicas have to work in the bar when it is open - usually from about 6 pm to 2 am Monday to Saturday (some bars are also open on Sunday). Customers go into the bars, have some drinks, and select a gal. You also have to buy the gal a drink before heading back to her room. Before the bars open, and after the bars close, the chicas are free to do whatever they want. They can walk around the bar area of San Nicholas looking for guys to bring back to their rooms, do errands, go to the beach, etc.

The main bus depot is right across the main street from the cruise dock, so you can easily take a bus to get down to the action in San Nicholas.

Slightly off topic, when I was in Aruba staying right in central Orj, heading back to my hotel, when out in front of the Little Caesars Pizza a guy tried to sell me drugs - I was pretty surprised with the brazenness of the guy. I was too startled to even ask if he supplied girls too! Perhaps someone else will!

The next night I had dinner at the Iguana Cantina on the balcony overlooking the dealers... the guys in front of Little Caesars did quite a business! They cops came by and polietly shooed them away like they were friends, but were obligated to shoo them.

If you are only in Aruba for one day on your cruise, you probably won't see the drug guys. Have fun - the island is great!

I will be traveling to Aruba later this month and need some advice.

First, I’m thinking of checking out the bars and street scene (before the bars open) in San Nicholas but I don’t speak any Spanish. Is this going to be much of a problem?

Second, can anyone recommend a good escort service (or any to stay away from) and, what is the going rate?

A few words about Aruba.

I didn't have time to go into the bars, but the entire area around the clubs are filled with Columbian girls in doorways. On the whole, they seemed to be less attractive than some of the girls in the clubs, but there were still some gems to be found.

Prices ranged from 50 to 70 florin for a half hour. Service ranged from rushed to quite good. All CBJ's, no anal. There seems to be plenty of action throughout the day as my last visit Monday morning at 7:30.

It's funny, one of the best looking girls in the area is the Aruban girl selling juice at the booth a block away from the entrance of the refinery.

Been a couple of years since I was in Aruba, but for action there, you need to head to San Nicholas, about a 25 minute drive south of Oranjastad and all the beach front hotels. You can also take the public bus there - bus to the public bus station near the ship docks in Oranjastad, and then take a bus to San Nicholas. Last bus leaves San Nicholas at about 11:30 pm for the return to Oranjastad.

In San Nicholas, there are about 10-15 small bars in the red light district, each with about 4-6 Columbian girls in their early to mid 20's. They range from average looking to drop dead gorgeous, just go from bar to bar until you find one you like. Most girls only speak spanish. The girls each have a small bedroom off of the bar that they work in.

The bars are open from about 7 pm to 2 am, monday to saturday. In the early afternoon before the bars open, and after the bars close late at night, and on Sundays, the girls walk the streets around the bars looking for customers. A few bars are also open on Sundays, but not many. The area is quite safe at night, just ignore the wierdos hanging around, hitting you up for change - and there are quite a few of them - they are crazy and harmless.

In the bars, you will pay about 15-20 Florins ($8-12 US) for drinks and a condom. The girl charges about 60-80 Florins ($35-45 US). (Although US dollars are accepted everywhere in Aruba, make sure you use Florins, the local currency, to pay the bar and girl). Gotta keep those prices low!

You can also get daytime action and day trips with the gals. During the week, they need to be back in San Nicholas to be ready to work at about 6 pm. On sundays, when most of the bars are close, the gals are very eager to spend the whole day at the beach, shopping, etc, for a little GFE and some extra florins that evening.

I can't speak about San Nicholas as I didn't have the opportunity. However, in Oranjestad, if you head inland from the main marketplace you should definitely find some ladies looking to give you some attention.

Plenty of dark parking is available down behind the warehouses to the west.

Hey guys this is a late post but i'm sure its still valid. I was in Aruba not too long ago and stayed at the Holiday Inn. On my last day on the island I took a cab ride to San Nicholas and I'd wished I hadn't waited till the last day. I went in around 5pm so half the bars were still closed but I visited a few and had a beer in each place. I finally stopped at a bar on the last street, the one on the far left when facing the industrial end of the island. Had a few guys drinking and a few girls sitting with them, then I saw the cutest fair skinned latin girl in a white mini-skirt. Talked to her the best I could with broken spanish and finally we got things straight, I had to buy her a drink and the bartender supplied a rubber. We went upstairs to her small room and did out thing. I didnt think they were this cute but i'll definately visit again. I also heard alot about Curacao, something about an arena, but i'll wait for the pro's to post about it.

I was on Aruba in June just or one day. It was Sunday, that's probably why there were not much action on that street in St.Nicolas. It takes about 30min (if not more) to get there from the other part of the island(where most of the resorts are). There was road construction, so I got there only with help of a local guy.

I went to several of the bars Chesterfield, Minchies, etc.. They had from two to four girls. Some of them looked good, some - not.
The problem there is that when you come into a bar you have a very limited choice. After a girl asked me if I wanted to go to her room, I said (in spanish) that I'd like to see some other bars first. They were very polite and understanding. It took some time to go through several bars, talk to several girl, do some drinking, and finally taking one very hot colombian girl, I belive it was 60 florins ($40). So it takes some time and effort to find good stuff there.

Later I'll write a recent report about Curacao, It was awesome and crazy as always.

Everything is safe in Aruba. Look in the free local papers for ads Massage, Strip club near downtown is really a place to pick up escorts.

Well I'm back in Aruba, and everything is still great down here. Several new bars opened in San Nicolas which is nice to see. Still a great selection of Girls, and the sellection seems a little better than I remembered. Several new escort services have opened up serving the Resort areas, have not tried them myself, but have recieved good reports.

I think this island may be the most under utilized hobby market in the caribean, Great beaches, Casinos, everybody here (except the working girls) speak english - and about 100 Columbian women working day and night.
