I wen tto Pachis around new Years. New rules there: All people entering Pachis must be wearing long pants and shoes. No open toes / sandals of any kind. No shorts. Its now the only place on Bonaire with any clothing requirement like that that I know of.

Bonaire is a small island. Everyone knows everyone there. Pachi's is the only place for mongering. Due to an extremely high for Bonaire amount of covid 19 (almost 1000 known positives) on the island new rules went into place the other day. Among them, Pachi's is closed again, until mid February and can re-open if the numbers from these Christmas and New Years party caused waves comes down to safe levels for them to operate.

Also, if you visit Bonaire and aren't vaccinated you need to quarantine for 5 days upon arrival--so do not go to Bonaire unless you are vaccinated or you will be sitting in a quarantine hotel at your expense for 5 days at least.
