They won't open until they can import Dominicans and Colombians who are vaccinated and only after the numbers in those places go down enough so the girls don't need to quarantine upon arrival.

Curacao is lagging behind in vaccinating their own people compared to Aruba and bonaire where most people are vaccinated and the numbers of cases is very low.

Aruba has vaccinated 63% of their people-and cases are around 55 out of 105,000 people. The vaccines work -- the hospitals are small in these islands so they have to keep control of the virus.

Curfew Curaao to seven o'clock.

The new curfew on Curacao applies from April 2.

Went to Cabo instead of Curaçao couple weeks ago. They seem to do decent job at hotels with Covid. Trip was definitely different as basically stayed at resort due to Covid.

The new curfew on Curacao applies from April 2.

Willemstead. The government of Curaao announced yesterday that the curfew will now start earlier. It was at nine o'clock in the evening but will start now at seven o'clock. The measure will take effect on April 2. Curfew ends at 4:30 in the morning.

The reason is the enormous number of infections that reached a record high yesterday. 506 people were infected in one day. Due to the development of the British variant, the Curaao Medical Center (CMC) is now full and almost all IC beds are occupied. Extra beds are available, but there is not enough staff to staff them.

Due to the earlier curfew, restaurants also must stop their take-away earlier. The doors must be closed at 6 pm Trucki'pans or BBQ stands can open at 2 pm For take-out and delivery. But at six o'clock they must close.

The government also announces that it will review the number of exemptions. 30,000 applications have been submitted.
