Camp Alegre was closed at the start of the corona crisis after 71 years. The open-air brothel had millions of debts outstanding and the corona measures delivered the final blow. Campo Alegre will be auctioned by the Public Prosecution Service (OM).

The auction was initially planned for June but was moved by the Public Prosecution Service to September 6. The exact reason for the delay was not disclosed.

According to the Public Prosecution Service, the auction has now been postponed because there were no registrations that met the conditions. No new date has yet been announced for the auction.

So they are asking for the same amount of funds to be able to register to bid? Looks like 2.6 million US dollars. Assuming maybe that's how much it was before and conversion rate is different. They seem to be overvaluing it quite a bit and I'd be surprised if anyone will even register again.

I can't find any evidence that Campo Alegre was successfully auctioned off, so I assume you were right. If anyone with definitive information can chime in, please do.

I can't tell from the auction site. It says Sep 6th but then also says postponed as well. I know it was postponed the first time. Somebody needs to get this place up and running again!
