Flying to the source is the ideal way but it gets expensive for many people to afford those flights regularly.

Last time visited it was 10 guilders or about 6 usd everyday except on Monday and Wednesday when the entry is 5 guilders 3 usd. On Sunday they told me there is the happy hour from 12 noon to 9 pm entry is free.

Thanks for all the info folks. I am planning to spend a few weeks on Bonaire in June was thinking about heading over to Curacao for a few days. The info makes it a must do thing if I follow through. Have been to Pachi's on Bonaire a few times. But sounds like Campo has a much bigger selection to choose from.

I usually just do something a little cheaper like an Airbnb but I figured that hotel would be perfect for me to go out when they are winding down at night so I can slide back and forth to Campo whenever I want without being far away from them. Curacao is definitely a really cool place for mongering and an actual beach vacation. I am single so I don't have to worry about a spouse but if I was married it would definitely be on my go to list of places if I was trying to creep like Torso was saying.

Very close to Campo, next to the airport, half a mile from campo?? One main road in front of airport takes you to the campo turn off--impossible to miss-look for the big leaf sign and turn left. Airport hotel: totally new and renovated and NICE! Rooms 80-120 bucks. I was just there a month ago and was pleasantly surprised since it has a bad rep. But a friend swore to me its new now--and it was! Good internet, TV with US channels, nice front desk staff and easy to navigate to--anywhere on island-just follow signs to airport. You can walk to it from the airport--they can also get you a car for rent from someone the front desk people know. Better rates there than from the rental car places at the airport. Def. Should have advance reservations!.

Thanks for the report! I appreciate the time you took to spell out the details! This place will definitely be my first consideration when I'm planning to go in a few months. The reason I asked about the GPS is that even in the States I can barely get around without Waze on my phone. I sure as hell don't want to get lost and wander into a unknown neighborhood at night by accident.

The monthly pass for $30 is a good deal for anybody who will visit more than 5 times during a month in that case. Daily entry is $6. I heard rumors of some sort of happy hour when it might be cheaper but all the entry fee signs I see all around the place say $6 any and every night.

If I lived in Curacao I would totally be a frequent flyer to Colombia and the Dominican Republic. I suppose I would go to Aruba and Saint Maarten more often too.

You can download maps of curacao on your phone with different apps you can find.

GPS. Not really needed but you can use. Most rental car companies can provide you a GPS device for like 10 bucks a day or something.

I just had some fun there new years eve and the night before. Drove around without GPS or a map all the way to the north of the island and some remote beaches--very easy to figure out. Its really all kinda small--just drive around in circles / random roads and you'll find cool stuff and interesting spots. Didn't go downtown this trip--but its not hard to figure out. Park in the big garage across the street from the Renaissance for safety --that hotel is super duper nice 250 or more a night but worth it--the restaurant--expensive but fantastic. Easy to walk over the swinging bridge and all around the area from there--I felt totally safe even late at night (on other trips).

Campo is never really more than few minutes drive away from anywhere LOL.

Chica, rest, clean up, food, drive around, repeat. Airport hotel makes it easy to not have to just sit around at campo waiting to get hard again. You MUST have a rental car in Curacao!

I agree with you about going to the source for better selection. I live here on the island but I still travel to the Dr for example very often its close and flights are short (1 hour) and lodging is way cheaper than here. The only thing I don't understand why mongers choose to travel to a country full of cheap pussy and are willing to pay the same prices they pay back home. What did they charge for the room?

Also you can purchase an arm band that is good for multiple days. The smart chicas know that this arm ban means you will be back and some make the extra effort to get your attention. You get it at the main entrance. It is a special color that is different thsn the regular arm band.

When you or someone was trying to find the number for the camp I checked one of the online flyers and they had the same number you noted. Weird they have a different number now.
