Thank you for your insight Zing and for the link (I was waiting / hoping to get some differing view points).

The understanding I am getting is that those of us who can only swing several one week trips a year should stick with the islands. It will generally get us (guaranteed-minimal risk) better results, for money spent, than the same amount of time and money could get us in Colombia (particularly because of the learning curve and short trip; not necessarily because of cash). As much as I love Latin America, I guess I will stick with the islands for now anyway.

It seems Colombia becomes worthwhile if you are a "full time" monger or live there.

From reading this thread and the beginning of the St Maarten thread, it seems that some of you that have started visiting Colombia do so mainly to visit specific girls. This I can understand and is a different case since you know what you will be getting and it will likely be better / more free outside the professional environment in the islands.

I find it interesting and reasonable that you can get more personal service and extras easier in the islands because the girls are lonely and in big competition with each other.

The part I do not understand is both you and the Colombian guy saying that the same girls cost more in Colombia. Why on earth are they going to the islands then? Is it that they make more per bang in Colombia but get less bangs so end up with less? Most of the girls I talked to said they also work back home. What am I missing here?

I would also like to thank you for your candid reports of a year's intro to mongering. It reads like a book. It is fascinating to read what a complicated web the girls weave and how good they are at it; shattered illusions and the different types of shit you can get yourself into. I will continue reading the St Maarten thread and hope to eventually find some comments from you guys about starting to visit Colombia and so forth. Did you move there for better mongering?

Finally, I am starting to understand why you guys swear by St Maarten and I think I will have to make a bigger effort to like it and explore the possibilities on my next visit.

Everything TheMyooo said in his report is absolutely right on target. I tried another girl the first night (Eva, I believe) who was very pretty, but not very good service, basic, but that's it. Then I searched for Adriana in 252. I spent the rest of my mongering time with her. She was perfect for me and seemed to enjoy the entire experience.

There were a few really hot women, but most were 5 to 7's. However, most had really good attitudes, which for me makes a 7 a 10.

Also, The barbeque on Tuesday nights is also very good.

I have read the entire Curacao thread looking for thoughts on Colombia. While a very entertaining read, I did not find much talk about how the Campo experience compares to mongering in Colombia.

I have mongered in Curacao and Aruba and St Maarten (lived there) and in Medellin, Cali, Bogota, Cartagena and some other cities. Currently living mostly in Bogota.

For the same level of safety, comfort and quality, Colombia is more expensive. In Campo you are SAFE, the rooms are clean, the girls are good looking with a wide variety, the weather is nice, and you can enjoy a beach vacation at the same time.

Campo is about $30.

In Medellin, you can get a girl at a casa in El Centro for $15, but you have about 20 seconds to make your selection, you can't socialize with her beforehand, the rooms vary greatly in amenities and cleaniness, and the neighorhood is dirty and always has some danger (although much more at night). The girls are about the same, with a few more younger / slimmer girls in Medellin. There are nicer brothels in Medellin, with prices going up to $150 for a quickie in a really nice neighborhood with a nice room. For a vacation, Medellin is interesting for about 3 days, then you have to dig to find things to do (no beach).

Bogota: Santa Fe red light district. Like Medellin El Centro, except that there are lots of options in a small 3 block area, and more dangerous in the daytime than Medellin. Very dangerous as night. Prices vary from $10 for a street girl in front of a short term hotel and up to $150 at a fancy nightclub at night. You do have an opportunity to interact with he girls beforehand. In a nice northern neighborhood, prices start at about $40 and go up without limit depending on the amenities of the venue.

Cartagena: lots of foreign tourists and sailors, can get along with only English, girls are expensive: $80 to $150 or more. Safer, but only if you stick to the main tourist areas and use common sense. Beach is terrible. Old town is wonderful.

Cali: my favorite in Colombia for mongering. But not than many venues to choose from.

Smaller cities have mongering but you mostly need Spanish to find it and negotiate. NO ONE WILL SPEAK ENGLISH.

Service is about the same in Colombia or Campo, but you are more likely to get extra services (BBBJ, etc) in Campo. And if you don't speak Spanish pretty well, you may never even find the mongering places in Colombia. Except in a red light district, they don't have signs.

I used Mini DV. World's Smallest Video Camera in the World with High Resolution Image, place it at end of your shoe. Campo guards just check shirt, pockets, and pants legs.

LuvBlkWomen your reports were great! Did you ever make it to Colombia or anywhere else and how did it compare?

There are many comments in this thread saying that mongering in Colombia is superior to visiting Campo. However, almost every poster that made such a comment returned to Campo and posted glowing reports. So how does Colombia compare? Neither has to be better but what are the differences in the experience?

I have visited Colombia and most of Latin America as a tourist (no mongering) and absolutely love all the countries. I am only asking in terms of mongering.

Campo is fairly cheap, safe, and relaxing granted there are a fixed number of generally not gorgeous women.

There was a comment in this thread that San Jose is actually more expensive for mongering than Campo. So is mongering in Colombia cheaper?

I am expecting non-mongering costs in the big cities to be similar to Curacao where I spend $120 a day ($35 car, $70 hotel, $15 food. Yes I am cheap / I save the money for the girls). Last I remember it was hard to get a decent hotel under $80 in Bogota; food will cost the same and then there are some taxis so the end number is not very different.

Smaller cities are probably much cheaper (?). But what do you do outside of mongering. In Curacao at least I can go to the beach if bored or diving.

Are the girls that much prettier and do they give that much better service in the homeland?. It seems to be the same hit and miss from a few reports I read in Colombia threads. Plus you can get robbed and may have to deal with pimps / bar owners.

I expect there to be a relatively large learning curve for mongering in Colombia and that at first it would be quite a pain to figure everything out and feel comfortable with where you may find yourself. Eventually you would get used to it but will it ever be as convenient as Campo?

The reason I am asking this question is that it is very easy for me to excuse myself for a trip to Curacao, but would be much more difficult to explain a trip to Colombia. So what am I really missing by sticking to Curacao? Any responses much appreciated.

Maybe the question I should be asking is what keeps you guys coming back to Campo after spending large amounts of time in Colombia? Mel do you still choose to get laid over in Curacao?

I'll be taking a business trip to San Jose next March and may want to visit one other place from Costa Rica. I've been to Curacao / Campo before and had a great time but am curious about Colombia, particularly Medellin. I don't speak Spanish so I realize that's a disadvantage to Colombia. Any thoughts from mongers who have been to both Curacao and Colombia?

Just came back from Curacao Island. Campo is a great place to kick of a relaxation from diving and ATV rides thru the island. There was a wide array of looker from 5 to 9 on a scale. There was a few that I would rate a 10. But I love big booty, light, latino with GFE. Ha-ha a long weekend is good enough...
