I have heard of some people that stayed in Campo but you have to call Campo yourself because I never did. There closest hotel is next to the airport. I wouldn't walk middle of the night to Campo though.

I stayed at St. Barbara so a car rental was a requirement and it was great even though further down on the island.

I visited Campo for my first time on 9/28 Sunday at 4 PM. First impression was that it was not upscale. It is definitely on the lower end. I am usually visiting FKKs so this is relative to that. There is no comparison to FKKs especially in terms of quantity, quality, cleanliness, rooms, food, and other things. Yes the price is 30 usd at Campo and about 70 usd at FKK but there is a significant difference in terms of service too. However, Campo is ok for the Latina fix but with limited options.

Most of the Colombian girls are hot (I found my fake titty and ass girls) but most DR and dark girls are not so good looking. I agree with previous reports that some girls were really too substandard in looks to be there. Still, I found one exception in the DR crowd.
