I am staying at an apartment complex which is less than 10 minutes from Campo. Its called Curacozy Vacation Apartments. I found it on Booking.com. The rate is $67.00 US per night plus a $55.00 service fee, plus electricity, for two bedrooms. It is modern and very clean complex. The one criticism I have is there is no hot water. Showers are what could be described as invigorating.

I had originally booked a place even closer to Campo called Curadise Living. Both these are in residential areas and are not waterfront. I rent a car and beaches are close by so not a concern for me.

Campo is a very interesting and fun place. Heading back for round two shortly.

Are you able to bring back any guests. I like to enjoy cigars in the evening I've noticed a lot of places are smoke free. How far of a walk was it to mambo beach? Any local action? Easy drive to campo?

Mambo is too far to walk from de Ruyterkade. You can smoke a cigar at any open air restaurant and bar in Punda. Cafe iguana, near the swinging bridge is a nice place to enjoy a cigar and a sundowner. Don't worry about the people eating at the next table, it's Curaçao and smoking is allowed. Of course no need to be a dick about it. I always try to sit a few tables away and downwind.

Arrived at Campo shortly before 7 pm. Was told it was happy hour so no cover charge. Exchanged $100 US and received $175 Florin. Wandered in and found a large indoor bar straight across from the entrance gate. We would also like to have one large location where everyone can stay but will also entertain multiple locations as long as they are next to each other. There cannot be any stipulations on partying.

Just check out Airbnb. There are definitely at least a couple of 10-bedroom houses for rent. Not cheap though, but definitely worth it if you want an unforgettable rock star party. Pretty much all rentals on Airbnb say that no parties or visitors are allowed, but I've found that if you treat the owners and their properties with respect then they're willing to overlook their rules. They just (and understandably so) don't want their places trashed, nor do they want complaints from their neighbors.

I stayed at a house back in August with a friend. There were a couple of nights where things got a little loud, but mostly just music. A neighbor did come by, but his only comment had to do with where we were parking.

I've done both for years, I would fly from SDQ to Curacao after my DR trip, and then home. But recently that sdq to cur is about $350 when in the past it was about $120! And the trip home from cur is now $550, when in the past it was about $260. So if the prices don't fall I'm going to have to do an "either or" as well. Personally, I would give the edge to the. Are. Because I know countless people there that I call friends and the whole party atmosphere. But Curacao can be done on a much cheaper budget!. I actually drive everywhere in Curacao, and that's not happening in the D. R. Your going to only have Dominicans and Haitians in the D. R. Campo will have women from about 10 different nationalities, and a 30 min session is about 26 bucks. Oops I think I've changed my mind I give it Curacao by a nose.

Curacao has colombians and dominicans. Sosua dominicans and haitians.

Sosua, you go back to your room for a couple hours, or all night. Curacao its about 30 min in the girls rooms.

Curacao is safer and simpler. Less spanish needed.

I know, from past travels, some of the LA countries might be a little slower during this time of year.
