According to local news campo will be auctioned the 21 June so if you interested fellas bring your wallet.

Don't quite have 15 million guilders to pay off the fine owed to the government. Apparently there are several interested parties, according to the auction house. Wonder if the winner will take on minority investors.

Plenty of news articles about govt wanting this place to be Campo 2. 0, as they want to decrease what they say is mongering around the island. Reading between the lines, it does seem that there will be more government oversight and hands in the till, so can expect new pricing to be increased from prior to closing.

According to this news article, it looks like it was auctioned off and will be re-born again as an open air brothel, Campo V2. 0. Just happened, so obviously no timeline yet.

Having never been to the original, I'm hoping to enjoy the version.

Lets hope this is right. A google search doesn't show it as permanently closed anymore (doesn't show it's open either though) and the website for campo is up and it's been updated in 2022. Seems promising.

Girls in campo come from Colombia, Venezuela and DR primarily. There are agencies in Colombia which recruited girls on regular bases and worked with Campo owners.

I do not think local girls are allowed to work there.

When Campo closed, they simply went home.

Yes negotiations has started by the government and they planning to start an auction to sell Campo to the highest bidder all by the end of March.

BTW Blue Moon22 you're right "place was a dream come true" When I was in Campo for the first time in January 2010, late in the evening, I seriously thought for a moment that I was dead and I'm in paradise! Tropical night, moon, palm trees, cooling breeze I sit on a bench with a cold beer and around these half-naked beautiful chicas from Colombia who invite me to sex! This is the place for a vacation in the Caribbean especially for divorced and singles hehe!

Man do I know where you are coming from as I too spent many a nights on the same benches awed by the eye candy. I look forward to the day this place comes alive. Snorkeling in the day time and babes in the evening. And all at a decent price in clean safe setting under the moonlight by the ocean. It does not get any better than this. Not being into the bar scene, the open setting of this place was perfect for me. Having been to Curacao for many years in a row and then stopping in 2020, I guess Curacao is missing me as I keep getting emails from the tourist centre inviting me back. Someone needs to send them hints as to what needs to be done for that to happen. The sooner the better.

Exactly, I also come back on vacation every year as soon as Campo is open. Before the Covid during the day I was mainly at Mambo beach, then lunch and in the evening to Campo. I have been 6 times every year, always in January the weather was good around 87 F day / 77 F night (nice cooling breeze) and the water in the sea was warm.

Coming back here these posts literally all made my night gents. I really hope they can get it back open and running soon (by Nov., Dec. Would be awesome and summer would be amazing). At least you all got to experience it many times. For me it was once and I was like wow this place is heaven on earth and then bam covid hit and it closed and I felt like part of me died hahaha. For the money I don't think you can beat it whatsoever anywhere that I know of especially in a tropical paradise.

I just got back from a cruise and got off the ship and went into coxen hole a bit and saw one lady but the place felt so shady I was afraid I might get killed or mugged so I just went back to the ship.

I will take vacations to curacao if they get campo open!
