This is a MAJOR knock I have on BA. Tobaccobabies everywhere but didn't encounter a single rastaman! I do not think the laws are really strict (like in some F'ed up countries), but unlike Brasil or Colombia where finding girls who like the herb was easy, in BA couldn't find even one! Chainsmoke the Marlboros they do, but never the herb. One of several reasons Argentina is a weird country IMHO.

I finally made it to B.A. last night, and it was quite a shock coming here after spending 2 weeks in the Patagonia outback. This city is huge: I´ve been wandering around the downtown area for hours, and still haven´t seen the edge of it. It reminds me of New York City (there are subways, but I haven´t taken them yet). I´m going to check out some of the street ho locations on Jackson´s list in his Argentina Private forum in the next few days, but was wondering if anyone knows what the deal is here regarding marijuana: Is it too risky to mess with, or is there an area I could score some with relatively little legal or other risk? I´m still a bit high from some magic mushrooms I did a few days ago down in Santa Cruz province, but it would be nice to add some THC to my head at this point.

This is my first visit to Argentina, and the level and tolerance of cigarette smoking is unreal. I thought it was bad in Holland, but this is much worse. The concept of second-hand smoke seems completely alien here, and I´ve probably inhaled more smoke in the 2+ weeks I´ve been here than I did in the last few years in the US. I´d say at least 50% of the men smoke, and a far greater percentage of women smoke than in the US. In one hotel I was staying in it was coming into my room through the heating system. I was staying at another place for many days, and I never saw one of the guys who works there smoke. Then on my last day there he pulled out a pack, stuck 2 cigarettes in his mouth, and lit them both up in one stroke like he´d done it a thousand times. Insane! Nonsmokers visiting here for the first time should brace themselves, because it´s a real culture shock.

Don't sweat the camera in or out unless Canada has some pornography laws. The law in argentina is you can bring in personal electronics without custom. The must be out of the box and you can't bring in like 10 digital cameras but one camera and one camcorder is fine. I wouldn't worry about the stockings either but they do sell them here and since they would be produced localy (don't know it but I would bet on it) they probably will be cheaper.

As far as having the hotel send you room service it can be a mixed bag, one day great the next terrible. your better offf cruising the triangle, or Recoletta clubs and picking what you want. Almost every night desk guy will be happy to send you a girl because they make a comission off the booking. My sugestion is be VERY specific of what your looking for and what you want to do, negotiate a price before hand and make payment at the end of the time an issue. If you like what you see get her number and next time it will be cheaper and for longer service.

Don't worry about camera contents. Nobody cares about that.

Do not know about stockings. I do not think they will care unless they are too many.

I always list all my electronics, cameras, laptops,ipod etc writing on the declaration form "for personal use".

I never had a problem.

Hello fellow mongers,

I have only posted a few times on here, but have lurked well over a year. I must say that I spend alot of time browsing the pix.

And based on some of the pix, I can tell which mongers have the same taste as me. For example, Master Monger and Saint are completely on point with me!!!!! There are many other mongers that also have the same taste as me, but whom I have forgotten their names (mainly from the Asian pictures).

In any case, I feel that from the pix, I think that I would have a great time in Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, and/or Peru (in that order).

I have never actually travelled anywhere simply for mongering duties (and the idea turns me on). I would be travelling alone, and predict about a 2 week stay. I plan on taking many digital pix (around 500), as well as bring along alot of nylons (stockings and pantyhose). I love women in nylon so this is a must. I do not speak Spanish though....

I like the GFE experience and would be interested in the following activities (in order of preference):

Meeting regular young chicas on the street or well-known pick up joints

Having hotel staff send me regular girls, or even workers from the hotel!

Escort agencies (although this is my last choice, I must admit that the Platinum website (Argentina) is loaded with babes, so I would be willing to just blow my dividends all there!)

My question: Regarding my camera, will authorities verify the contents of my camera when I exit the country? Also, when entering any of these countries, will airport authorities check my bags, and if so, if they discover these pairs of nylons (still wrapped), could they legally do something to me..?

These questions are very important to me, so i would appreciate any feedback from you veterans regarding these aforementioned questions or any other comments about my interests. thx boys!

First, are there any beaches in/around Buenos Aires? : The nearest are around 450 km (Mar del Plata, Villa Gessell, etc.) and at this time you will get a very bad weather... not recomended.

Second, how safe is it walking around at night : In all the Tourist spots, no problem... avoid dark places and badly lit streets.

During the day? : No problems if you go to the normal Tourist spots, and 90% of the city, if you happen to end up in a "Villa" it will not be nice...

Second, how safe is it walking around at night/during the day?

I'm booked at the Americas hotel and i've tendency to do that when i travel, check out the locals etc., but some places I've been gets dangerous [Kingston, Jamaica was a scary scene two years ago, Amsterdam was cool night or day, London was okay and Paris was great, but no action to be had besides some skanks.]

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

In my two years here I have not seen one dive shop in BA. Nor have I seen any classified ads for diving in Argentina and now is the time for vacation ads in all the papers. Good luck.
