If you take into account how much working girls in the US/other countries charge to cost of living for their respective country, Brazilian working girls/termas/clubs like Bahamas/etc. are charging way out of line. Let's help them get back in line.[/QUOTE]

I do my best to hold my end of the rope, but u & I r not being supported by the high rollers. They can afford to drop R$300 for 2 hrs. I egt the best value for my R$

I hear Columbia's pretty good. Gonna go there next.

Also, check out the smaller cities (with better beaches than Rio) -- and get 8-10 looking/atitude girls for <100R. Takes a little more work, but Rio and SP can get a little "been there done that" if you're a repeat offender like myself.

    Happy Hunting,
    JWadd

P.S. The real is gonna fall (or the dollar will rise), don't worry.

LOL! This is hillarious, actually I have seen this a couple of times at the Copa termas, before I swore them off. There's this one European guy that I use to see at L'uomo all the time in a wheelchair, (I think he is German) and some of the girls would be doing stuff like that behind his back. And not only have I seen the facial expression of the girls when they are with an ugly guy they don't like, many times they will be talking shit about him in português with their friends, and the guy will be sitting right there with a big smile on his face! Just shows you not to fall in love with these girls, just bang them and move on.

As for the price, you're right about that too, with the current 2.23 exchange rate, unless your company is paying to send you there, Brasil is no longer a great deal, or IMHO even an OK deal. Much cheaper places in SA where you can get the same quality. But I'm sure people that don't know better will keep going to Brasil.

No one cares enough. They can afford it today but their ext trip will be %6 more. Brasilian this year have enjoyed a modest increase in wages thanks to u and I. Spending $R300 on a garota for 2 hrs whereas it takes her 30 days to earn that amount in any of sector of business. Its too late to stop the craziness, I suggest getting another job. Work 2 jobs and save all year for a 2 week vacation.
I think people care when it affects their pocket books, and it's not just 6%. Bahamas just increased entry by 20%, 1 hr room by 33%, and the US dollar is down 40%. Solarium increased a one hour session with entry by almost 15% while once again the dollar is down 40% in the last couple of years. I know all these price increases are going to cut some mongers activities down at least at these places, but I'd like us to try to help each other out by doing something active and just make a quick stop at these places and do as I suggested so that maybe prices won't keep going up too dramatically. I know you're joking about getting a second job and I don't need one however I don't like paying more than I feel is fair. Wow, the prices are getting crazy in Rio and SP. When you take into account the dollar is down from 3.5-4 to 2.2-2.3 and the multiple increases in prices in all of these places from termas in Rio to clubs like Bahamas in SP in the last couple of years, it's as expensive or more expensive than a lot of places in the US.

Some might say the quality is better than the US but I don't even agree with that seeing as most (seemed like 80-90%) had hairy legs/stomachs/bodies and seemed pretty jaded to me. A lot of you guys talk about the girls enjoying the sex unlike pros from the rest of the world, and my opinion on that is some of you seem very easy to fool. They all seemed transperant to me that it's a job and pretending to enjoy it will make the john finish faster and they can stop doing the more uncomfortable part of their job. I know what some of you are thinking maybe they just don't enjoy it with me so that's why I say this and all of you are studs that make them orgasm 50 times, I really don't think so though. In the termas, for example, I saw more than a few times, girls give middle fingers or gagging expressions while their john looked the other way, who knows could have been some guys from this board, they were older gringos. They weren't doing it for me either because they either didn't know I saw or if they realized I saw, they were obviously embarassed, and one tried to come over and explain to me while her john went to the bathroom that she was just playing around, probably fearing I might say something to him.

Also, while their butts are great, a lot of their faces/skin weren't very good at all. Sure, 2-5% are lookers but they're in high demand and hard to find and charge even more unreasonable rates. Now having said all that, I still will go back because it is a different experience. Sometimes the whole country feels like a giant prositute(using this word instead of the "w" one because I think Jackson prefers it) house.

If we want to help each other out, I suggest we go a little out of our ways so that maybe the prices won't keep getting out of hand. Next time you're in Rio or SP mongering, stop by at one of these places that keep increasing their prices, ask them their price, then proceed to tell them(manager if you can) the price was so much less just a short time ago and with their money getting stronger globally it makes no sense to increase their prices as well, then tell them that you're going to a cheaper alternative that doesn't try to gouge its customers and give an actual name that you're going to. For instance, at Solarium (just raised prices from 170 to 190 for 40 minutes and 60 for entry) tell them that you're going to Lu'omos since they're still 170(I think they are at least some one correct me if they increased as well) or at Bahamas tell them that you're going to Kilt. If this happens enough, it'll make their ownership at least stop increasing over and over to see how high they can go until you stop paying because they'll realize that they've hit as high as they can. Some of you might say that not enough people read this forum to make a difference but I think a lot of people do lurk like I mostly do, but it would help if you passed the word along to fellow mongers that you meet/know that don't read this board a lot too. Hopefully what little value is still left in going to Brazil isn't lost.

Do you have a clue if there's pro action in those night clubs? If there's any I read from somewhere that there's a cheap hotel area nearby so guess there's some cheap motels charging per hours too!

Sorry for my late reply but I was in Bangkok and was watching its threads.

The best and easiest way to go from copa (if you do not wish to take a taxi)
is by bus #433 To Villa Isabel. It passes almost in front of it when it turns to the left after leaving the praia route. Ask the driver to tell you when he enters Av Mem de Sa.

It is near to Los Arcos in the begining of Avenida Mem de Sa.
Very easy to find it there.

CINELANDIA is the closest metro station but you might get lost for the first time.

Well it is 30% more to the euro than it was last April that I was here too.

And now you get better rates at the cambios than at the ATM;s.
At least 10 centavos per euro. Maybe more depending on the cambio.

My two cents (for the ten cents difference, lol)

    Guys,

Got my new Visa today and finally recieved a new 5 year. I guess it boils down to the person who handles your paper work. I recieved two 30 day Visas prior to this one and it was getting a little expensive....

    Love motels

Love motels in Brazil are really something for Americans to see and experience. Total discretion (no visual contact with employees, garages for cars, jacussi, spacious rooms, saunas, giant beds, music, TV, well stocked mini-bar, frig and more). All at discounted prices compared to US expenses. Try them. Unfortunately, the dollar is falling against the real.

    Figures,

You already have a few excellent responses, I'll just add some random thoughts.

Marijuana is not hard to get hold of in Brazil, should be no problem. Would not recommend trying to buy some. But by all means have someone you trust get hold of some for you.

Try the love motels. They're excellent for sex sessions. Be hesitant about booking and prepaying a stay at a hotel until you know their guest policy -- many regular hotels in Rio frown upon guests going up to your room, or flat out don't allow it. That's what motels are for.

In Brazil, "blond" = "class" in most peoples' minds. Brazilian guys are usually crazy about trying to bag a blond girl.

  12. #405
    Figures:

I've made a half dozen trips to Rio over the last two years with my girlfriend (also slim, blonde, sexy, but an inch shorter than you) and occasionally other playful couples interested in bedding hot Brasilians, and can testify that it works out pretty well as long as the two of you agree between yourselves on ground rules ahead of time. I'll offer our experience on the topics Chingon didn't cover in his reply:

    3. Definitely had festas at VIPS Motel and in apartments with other (carefully selected) mongers, including one with six GDPs from Karla Models that also had two American couples participating. Worked out well, and I have a great videotape to remind us on cold winter nights why we should be back in Rio. The GDPs seem unfazed by having the client girlfriends there, and most are willing to play with you if you're interested.

    4. Like in the United States, men respond to women at festinhas based on how the women act towars them. Show you're interested, and they will be; maintain a pleasant but distant demeanor and the guys will gravitate instead towards the GDPs. Again, show some discretion in choosing the mongers you invite to party with you. Generally speaking, the mongers in attendance are probably going to be secretly envious of both your boyfriend and you.

    5. I think Don will have no problem at all arranging male escorts, assuming you know who you want from perusing the acompanhante sites ahead of time. Consider another option, though, which works well for my girlfriend: spend some time on Ipanema Beach around Posto 9 your first couple days there, and smile at the Brasilian guys you see that are looking good (but be careful of the steroid hulks that swagger up and down along the waterline -- another woman traveling with us had trouble after picking up one of them). They will be happy to come over and talk, and since most of them are from upper middle class families they usually speak some English. She finds great guys very easily that way, although sometimes the guys want to have sex in private rather than in a festinha. Plus those guys are generally excellent lovers.

    6. You could get both guys and women from the same agency, but I'm not certain there is any real advantage to doing so (unless they give a "5 for the price of 4" special or something like that). Keep in mind that the guys at these agencies are primarily hired by a gay clientele, although they enjoy women as well, so they should understand ahead of time that they are there for you rather than your boyfriend.

    7. If you find regular Brasilian men on the beach, they will not touch the professional providers at a festinha (at least in front of you) -- they would consider that declasse. If you hire talent from an agency, they will do whatever you want (and maybe a bit more -- know your limits!).

    8. "How would the guys treat my man?" If you hire professionals, and make it clear that your boyfriend isn't gay, they will be casually friendly. If you find men on the beach, they will be polite towards your boyfriend, but because jealousy is so intrinsic to Brasilian relationships they won't really be able to figure out what the hell gives between you two.

    9. "How would the girls treat me?" I could give a crude answer, but I'll restrain myself. The majority but not all GDPs are willing to have sex with women, and if you are interested they will be. If not, they will pretty much ignore you unless you do or have something interesting (unique sex toys always attract their attention, and if you take pictures or video they like to see the shots of themselves). If your boyfriend picks up a non-pro woman, she will be jealous if you show attention towards your boyfriend while she is there (I speak from painful experience).

    10. The male escorts will do what you want them to do.

    12. Around sunset on Ipanema Beach, especially just west of Posto 9, there are lots of locals who light up the local marijuana. If you have been on the beach making friends, you will likely be invited to participate. My friends from the US (California) tell me that the quality is truly awful, but I notice they smoke it anyway. I would echo the advice of others and recommend not trying to buy any yourself, or carry or smoke it away from the beach.

    13. Safety issues should be simply a matter of being alert and not letting yourself get separated from your boyfriend if you stay in Ipanema. Copa and Arpoador are more dangerous -- be very alert there. And even when visiting Lapa on a Friday night for music and dancing I've had guys try to cut off my girlfriend and separate her away from me -- watch for that. It isn't hard to recognize the kinds of guys that are trouble: if they look like someone you would avoid in the States, you should probably be careful of them in Rio as well.

    14. As you've likely gathered, I'm a fan of Ipanema. For a hotel, we use the Ipanema Tower, as all the suites are two bedroom/two bath. That way you can bring home a guy and take one bedroom, and your boyfriend can bring home a woman and use the other. If you two are a bit kinky, Amerioca Travel (Don's outfit) rents out some two bedroom/two bath apartments in Arpoardor that are right next to Le Boy and La Girl (gay and lesbian clubs). My girlfriend looks femme, and most lesbians in Rio are butch; we've found it isn't difficult to pick up a couple of women there and bring them home, and most of them are OK with having a guy in a foursome. "Butch," by the way, is not the same as the American "dyke;" most of these women are good looking.

    Hope this helps.

90-day visa from the Chicago consulate

Oh well. Got the 90-day visa.

I wrote that I'm there for vacation and to visit friends. Aalso I said that I would appreciate getting the 5-yr visa so I can return often. In the end, I was denied.

Yes I have a collection of these T shirts also. Recently I was staying in south beach Miami Beach at a hotel and I was wearing one of my t shirts from my collection that I have aquired from vendors on copacabana. i was sitting at the pool and next to me a beautiful woman asks me the time in Portuguese, I found out there was a Doctor's convention in the hotel of Brazilian Doctors, this woman was from Porto Allegre, her husband was the doctor now working.

For the next couple of days many Brazilian woman asked me the time at the pool in Portuguese, they were all Doctor's wives, I would like to tell you I scored with one of them but it didn't happen.

The only thing my Portuguese got me that week was many free drinks as the waitresses and bartenders in the hotel were brazilian and I spoke to them in Portuguese and they almost never charged me for anything and it was a very expensive place, I will stay there again and wear my chamisetas especially my prized life guard bright red T shirt from the life guards on copacabana, the day I wore that even the pool manager approached me, he was from Rio and that day I never paid for a drink, whacked.
