As you might understand I am an American however, I have been living back and forth in Brasil as well and, currently I am in Europe but, will be back in BH Thursday.

Another thing to explore for you guys is some of the smaller cities in Minas Gerais. Ipatinga is a great place and, have some girls studying and, financing their studies as well. In Ipatinga you have only two boites named FAMA and Scala but, beside that you have two other areas to find GP,s. The first and best one is right on the main highway that passes through the city. There you can find girls from about lunchtime and, the going rate is R$40. These girls you will bring to a nearby motel and, motels are available from R$10 and up in the same area as where the girls are.

The other area is in the city center but, most of the girls there are drugusers. These girls go for R$10 to R$20. It is some places there that rent out rooms by the hour as well. The girls knows where the small hotels that do so are.

I know some good and beautiful girls in Ipatinga so, if you like to test it out I can provide you with their phone numbers.

In Ipatinga it is really easy to pick up regular girls in bars especially if you are a foreigner. You will need to be able to speak a little Portuguese because, it is not common that the girls speak English and, the ones that says that they do you will not be able to understand anyhow.

To get to Ipatinga you easiest take the Presidente bus from BH (Rodoviaria)
The rate for the bus is between R$40and R$50 each way and these buses pretty much goes every hour. The traveltime is like 4 to 5 hours and the bus makes a 15 minute stop in Joao Monlevade. You do not need to make a reservation it is just to buy the ticket in Presidentes kiosk at the BH Rodoviaria.

OK, that was a little about Ipatinga now I will need to pack for tomorrow and, believe me when I say that I am going to enjoy a couple of days in BH.

Welcome to ISG, Gpguia, and thanks for the info. I'm starting to feel it's seriously worth detouring to BH again on the way to Belem. This sort of info that many of us easily miss is so especially useful. In BH, it is easy to find low-end and overpriced high-end, but it's especially good to get solid information on something better than Guairicus (or a private arrangement with a Guairicus girl to come back to the hotel after her shift, my other backup plan apart from bars and restaurants.) I do hope we see more of your posts.

Have been reading your posts with interest. Some people have asked about Stop Girls!

On Av. Amazonas and you should look for a bright red building. Stop Girls opens late close to midnight and, before open it is kind of hard to C. You have a gas station though almost across the street. I cannot remember the rate but, I think it is around R$150 for the girl. This is a good place with decent pricing.

For the ones talking about Rua Guairicus:

The better places gere have some college girls financing their studies as well. The girls are working two shifts 8am to 4 pm and the second shift is 4 pm to close to midnight. These girls are paying rent for the room and, operates independently. The nicest place I believe is #660 charges about R$125 per shift and, at least before they use to have a waiting list to be able to rent a room.

The better hotels are safe inside however the street area has had a lot of robberies. Many of the girls have been robbed and, most of them therefore will leave at night with taxi. I would recommend that you only bring necessary pocket change and, leave your wallets in your hotel.

So I was back in Belo and decided to take a late walk on a Wednesday night up to the corner of Contornos and Amazonas. Nova Brut is the place. A whisky bar with loud music, in a residential type house. Open daily from 14 to 22. Started to look for Privé Sensuale, on Estacio de Sa 44, but that adress doesn't seem to exist, nor could I find any indication of mongering activities going on in the area (Close to the underpass that Contorno makes, right before Amazonas).

Nova Brut was closed (corner of Contorno and Amazonas) so I proceeded down to a small street that starts where Amazonas cross Barbacena called Oure Preto.

Bitchmaps show 2 places here, but I could only find one of them, Luna's Scotch Bar. 3 girls working, all of them mulatas. 2 were actually doable, in the bad lightning, at least. There was a guy who wanted to salude me and he didn't let go of my right hand, I finally got it yanked away and did as Forrest Gump. I ran and kept running.

Back out on Amazonas and went down a few blocks looking for Stop Girls. Couldn't find it. It is supposed to be at numer 1523 or 1533 Amazonas, however, could only find a half open door with some very bad lightning in number 1523. No signs, no people, not a sound. So I decided to not venture in.

Would be interested in hearing more about Stop Girls if any of you have had experience there, on GP Guia it gets good reviews.

That could be more time consuming to check out, so would be interested to know of any you find worth a visit.

Christopher, took your advise and dropped down to Guairicus this morning, around 10 AM. Just went into a couple of the hotels, it was crowded, an endless stream of guys in all of the hotels.

Passed a nice little hottie, but when I turned back, another guy beat me to it. So don't think about it too much.

Decided for the next hot one and it was a good choice. 20R for the pop, BBBJ, CBJ, good positions, moaning and a very nice smile. She must have been about 28, mulata, great body.

It's a magic moment everytime a door cracks open and you get a look at what's inside. Supposedly there's a shift change dinnertime which is the best time to get there. If the girl likes you (i.e. thinks you'll be a good customer) she will ask to leave and go to your hotel, or you can ask her. It can be an all-nighter. Most will say yes and go with you. For hotels: need to book in Advance for Savassi on Weekends. or try the Othon, it is GF: get a room on parkside and you can see many girls at night on the street below soliciting. All kinds. totally agree with chris. imho guairicus is best early. i have been there three times. one in the late afternoon / early evening, once near midnight and once at 9:00 am. the hotel brilliante (nearest the rodoviaria by the elevated traffic station) seems to be about the most up-scale (if you can call it that). the late night visit was a waste of time. most of the girls had gone home and what was left was.....pathetic. the 6:00 pm session was surreal because walking the halls was like trying to make your way to the toilets at a football match. it was shoulder to shoulder guys walking down the halls peering into doors to see what was being offered. there were all kinds of guy on their way home from work and other guys on their dinner break. being so close to the busi station you have to be prepared for just about anything. it was pandemonium.

however, the early morning session was a different story altogether. i woke up feeling like getting some early morning sex since the night before was a strike out and i was staying at the best western downtown which was just a 10 minute walk. there were only about 20 guys roaming the halls next morning at about 9:00 am and the mood was completely different. i went upstairs and and then up again to the top floor and walked to the end of the hall that seemed to be deserted. i peered into a door and a very nice looking woman in her late 20's was lying on the bed reading a book. i asked her how much ($30 for 30 minutes i seem to remember) and we went at it. she told me that she was a housewife and that she does this a few days a week to earn extra cash after sending her husband off to work and her kids off to school. she was fresh, clean and enthusiastic. what more could you want?

if you are interested in non-pro action, i would suggest that you try the club called "stop girls" in the lourdes neighborhood right near the diamond mall (shopping). it's been almost a year, but when i was there last the talent was excellent. i think there may have been a few pros there but most were semi pros and rank amateurs. smoking hot and available if you don't mind showing them a good time and like to dance.

unlike rio, i think bh does not have that stigma of being rife with gringos looking to screw the locals and so it's not so hard to break the ice with the non-pros.

I was in Belo Horizonte on Monday night and asked the taxi driver which are the best clubs. He indicated that New Sagitarius and Sayonara were okay, so I went to NS first.

It was very upmarket and I was given the brief by this gorgeous thing that spoke english.

It is BRL50 to get in 200 to take a girl(barfine) and whatever you and the girl agree on assume 400(min), for the quality of the establishment. I was doing a rough calculation and lets say you spend 100 at least on drinks I was already over USD400. I decided not to stay but this place is worth a look if you feel like a splurge. If the barfine had not been so steep I would have stayed!

Once outside I was confronted by a taxi driver wanting 25 to take me home. I pointed out that it had cost me less than 10 to get there but he kept on with the 25. I walked 50 metres up the street and got one for the right price!

This guy took me to Sayonara where it was more in my price line 50 cover 45, I think, barfine and negotiated 200(all night) for the chick. But it was late ish and I assume the best of the pickings had already departed.

Not sure about Cristal but I would think it would be similar to Sayonara.

I just finished a visit at Sayonara, about 7-8 girls, 4 girls I would rank high among them, the rest were so-so.

I was given company by a gorgeuos little thing who asked for 350R for 2 hours at my hotel, I said no and eventually she asked for 200R. Hardly any customers in the place so I thought she had reasoned with herself and decided to charge a fair price, and I was about to go for it when. I was told that, it did not include 30R for Taxi nor a 50R barfine, and it was discounted down to an hour.

Needless to say that I parted after that. I don't like having the feeling of getting cheated, nor do I think that sex after such a discount would be worth it. Total damage was 180R, 3 beers for me, 3 drinks for her plus the entrance.

Think this was expensive, but that may be the going rate in Belo.

I think I will try to check out Christophers suggestions tomorrow night, even though the cabbie warned me against it, as I am very white and speak only spanish and english. Hardly any portuguese.

I really don't know what is going on with the prices in some places, 500 or 600 reals for a girls pleasure is way too high at these exchange rates, at 5 to 1 its workable. Still I guess I must be one of the few who is short of money as these places are getting the cash or they wouldn't charge. $400 dollar US is quite expensive for the experience, to make the journey whorth while needs to be much less than half that!
