If your flying into BH (if this has been stated before, this is a reminder) , I would suggest you not take a cab to centro. Once you arrive at the airport, go outside and head to the middle of the airport. There you will find a long covered breezeway. Walk to the very end and there you can buy a ticket with Unir to BH Rodoviária (Bus Station) for R8, 50, as opposed to taking a taxi for R85, 00 to R90, 00. Once at the station there will be plenty of taxis waiting.

Bus is now 8. 50 and it takes 90 minutes. (Taxis will hardly be faster because of heavy traffic at all hours.) Better buy your return ticket, because of long lines at the Rodoviaria Bilheteria.

i arrived on thursday and got situated at my hotel in centro part of belo horizonte.

thursday night

stop girls (avenida amazonas 1513)

the entry was r$25 including consumption of 2 drinks. the place has one small main area with a stripper pole where a girl dances and grinds on customers just for the strip shows. customers also mingle with girls in this area. there's also another area where customers can chat with the girls. there is also a pretty large dance floor in a basement area of the place. but nobody was down there. there were about 20 girls in the place, along with about 15 guys. the girls ranged from 6 to 7. 5, so nothing great. sat and chatted for about 1/2 hour and bought 2 beers for the garota which cost r$5 each, but i didn't session with her. cost would have been r$150 for 1/2 hour and r$200 for an hour. they have rooms at the place. about 9 of them according to the girl. i got out of there with r$35 damage.

rua guiacurus hotels (all on rua guiacurus)

went to 602, 620, 630, 648a, and 660. all of these hotels that i visited were pretty much laid out the same. they consisted of 2 floors with long hallways, where there are a series of rooms on each side of the hall. although, i think one of the motels might have been configured more like a maze with multiple corridors. they were all pretty clean. these hallways are basically all constructed of some kind of marble or marble slab and the stairs to get up the floor are all metal. i was picturing something different, like old wooden floors in a dark dingy motel. if the room door is open, then the girl is available. the girls sit and wait for customers to come in and get down to business. most of the times, it seems the brazilian guys just walk around peeking in every door and not getting a session. the girls are dressed in their underwear or even totally nude as they lay on the bed waiting for the customer. although some girls are more forward and want to sell themselves by standing in the doorway all nude, which is a pretty nice advertising job! pretty much all of the rooms that each girl stays in has neon lighting. so in that respect, it is similar to the amsterdam window shopping girls. the whole set up seems similar to amsterdam window girls, actually.

i walked down the street on avenida cristovao columbo and headed to club skorpius in the savassi area. i asked the bouncer what the entry cost was. he said r$35. he let me peak in there for 2 minutes. at 10 pm on a friday night, there was one girl dancing in the club and a group of 5 guys sitting in a corner booth. i left immediately. don't waste your time here!

at this point, i decided to call it a night and try some other places the following night.

this is supposed to be an upscale prive. it had 17 out of 19 positive test drives on gpguia site. they open on saturdays from 2p to 9p. i arrived at 7p and they were closed. cost would have been r$20 entry and r$180 for a one-hour session. i think this is one of those upscale casas because their website shows they have a sauna and scotch bar. they also own other prives in sao paulo (belfrance, celcenter, multimidia, francebel, etc). what a bummer as i was looking forward to going here!

it's propably 12 years since i visited brilhante. it sounds like nothing changed, except the price. it used to be r$10/15 minutes.

quite a different set-up compared to the cheap casas in rio. in brilhante the girl lies exposed (in lingerie or nude) on her bed in her room waiting for a customer. the guys are standing in the doorway like hungry wolves taking free peek's.
