On one of the days I was in Curitiba I was walking around and seen a cheap hotel with women at the door and women just inside the door. It was very obvious these were prostitutes. It looked like the scene from walking around Centro in Medellin. A skanky hotel with hookers at the front door. I wasn't looking for this place, I just walked by and I only got a quick look. If you look at it on Google Maps streetview you can see a "working lady" at the door. Since I only had a quick look, I can't judge them well, but they looked rather skanky. It is on Rua Alfredo Bufren, very close to where it crosses Rua Riachuelo. It is about 10 meters from Rua Riachuelo. Google Maps search for Hotel Principe Regent, and it is very close to there. When I took a taxi from the airport it cost me 85 reals. I tried the taxi app 99 one time and it was good. But Uber is cheaper for sure. From the hotel to the airport taxi app 99 estimated a cost of 67 reals to the airport. I used Uber to the airport and it was only 29 reais. Uber appears to work at the airport, but I guess you have to do a little work to meet up with the driver. Uber said I have to request a ride and then Uber would tell me where to meet the driver. A common taxi app used in Colombia, Easytaxi, also works here.

If you take the elevator and push #4, you are actually going to be on floor #5. So, push #3 on the elevator. I went in the elevator and some old local residents also went to #5. I visited there several years ago in December and recall staying at a modest hotel in the central downtown area and near a nice park. I asked the front desk guy about where I could find a girl and they immediately whipped out some baseball size cards with individual photos of various Chicas.

There are four options available, but only one of them I think is viable unless you are wealthy and don't care about the cash. Number one are the strip clubs. Tried Casa Nova. There is a R30 entrance fee and R40 minimum consumption. And about 10 girls, ranging from 5-8 in quality. The girls asked R400 and quickly went to 350 and probably would have taken 300. And a R99 charge for the room. So, R500, even at today's favorable exchange rates is way out of line, IMHO. Option two are the streetwalkers which can be seen just about everywhere. Most are drugged out, uglies, 3-5 range and many are trannies. Forget it! Option three are the escort services which are plentiful and listed in the forum.
