I enjoyed my stay at the Slaviero Suites Curitiba in 2011. I remembered my wingman & I being able to walk during the day to several clubs and of course to Sinal Verde.

The Slaviero chain has several properties in central Curitiba, I booked this hotel upon the recommendation of my wingman who had been to Curitiba before.

I don't recommend hotels like "Caravelle" (USD$ 80, 00) due the location. Its very near of cheap strip clubs, but also the region has drug problems. And the hotel is kinda old.

Yes, I'm local. I live here.

In my opinion Curitiba is a very good option.

But if you expect beaches and things like Rio, its very different. Because we don't have beach (100 km distance)

But is a lot safer than Sao Paulo and Rio. You can check photos and more info on Trip Advisor.

Due to less important games that will have here, you would be the ideal, if you can, travel between Curitiba and São Paulo.

As you can read in GPGUIA we have I think about 5 "night clubs" which has strips and a lot os girls you choose. However it is more expensive. R$ 250,00 / hour now. I do not know during the World Cup and for foreigners. (Class Night Club, Metro, Sexx, etc)

And the have the called "prive" which are places that run during the day, with several girls that you pick and goes to his room. (R$ 150. R$ 250 / hour) (Debora Massagens, Kotao, Molly, etc)

Curitiba is much cheaper for this, than Sao Paulo and Rio, but most do not speak any English.

Porto Alegre is a very good option too. But it 800 km for Curitiba and 1200 from Sao Paulo.

Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre or Goiania. I don't want to travel from city to city during that time. I like to spend a full month in one place to get better experience and leisurely pace. As am a big futebol fan, I plan to enjoy the games, watching in bars or fan fest sites. So this is not just about mongering. However, I, naturally, ALSO want some good mongering adventures. It is Brasil after all.

I am attracted to the city, because of its reputation for being "bem organizado". Its big but not too big. I used to know some swingers from there. As for mongering, I have gotten very mixed messages regarding Curitiba. I have read gpguia for years, and lived in Sampa but never visited Curitiba. Which was pretty close to Centro. It was a big house with 5 rooms. This house only has about 5-6 girls working at any time and I was presented with 2. There were about 25-30 girls in the house and probably the same number of guys. This place has a lot of potential. I really liked the environment. It was like a house party with music played at low volume, where the atmosphere was more for conversation and mingling. I got here around 6:30 pm and they close at 11 pm. I only stayed for about 45 minutes as I didn't see anything that I liked. Although there were a lot of girls, most of them were pretty average looking and there were a few fatties in the house. I'd say mostly 6's or 7's in the house. I saw maybe one girl that was an 8, but she was busy with a customer. I would come check this house out again if I am back in Curitiba. There is no entrance fee or any minimum number of drinks you have to buy, so it doesn't hurt to look around. The price for a session is R$150 for one hour, so it's a good value if you happen to find somebody good.

As for Curitiba itself, I thought it was a very nice city. It's very clean and feels safe. Their downtown Centro area is the nicest I've been to in Brazil, although I can only compare it to Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, and Belo Horizonte. There are a lot of nice parks that are clean and well-lit at night. The bus system is also very good and organized, unlike Rio's poor excuse for a bus system. So Curitiba may not be a great city for tourism, but for a place to live with a fairly high standard of living, I think it seems like one of the best options in Brazil.
