Was there for a few days 15 or so years ago. A cute town the locals called Little Rio complete with "Luz" Cristo on the mountaintop. The beach within the city limits didn't impress me much, but they have a cable car taking you to a very nice Oranjana (sp) beach. Although did I mention it was 15 years ago? Back then there were 2 P4P places, a fancy (and pricy) private club and some kind of bathhouse. I'm sure there are more options nowadays.

Spent a week in Florianopolis last month. It was my 3rd visit, but my first in the dead of summer, when it is hot, lodging is scarce and expensive of course, its full of tourists. Called the "Ilha Magica" (Magic Island) in the media, its a very different beach destination, as well as a magnet for more free-sprited types from around Brazil. It's also the capital of the state of Santa Catarina, which is fabled for the beauty of its women. In fact, the three southernmost states of Brazil are considered by Brazilians (both male and female) to have the most beautiful women. I find they actually don't live up to the hype. But, it should be noted that Santa Catarina was heavily settled by GERMAN immigrants and many of them look like it. It would be cool if that played out in the realm of pay for play. However, at this point, its not the most easy place for the punter from out of town. Why? Well, the old standby, Photoaccompanhantes doesn't have a lot of women to chose from in Floripa. Neither did Skokka or. Furthermore, the prices are more on the level of Sao Paulo 200-500 per hour. It seems more like a classic supply and demand scenario but I looked at other resources, notably GP Guia. I also did a simple Google search for "acompanhantes florianopolis" and found numerous other sites for GPS. Seems that down in SC there are more locally focused internet resources as well as the usual more familiar sites. I will list links to them below (Note to the Cane: See how easy that is?

So, there are GPS to be had, but you will need to look a bit harder and go a bit further. Note that Floripa is just across a short strait from Sao Jose on the mainland. Two bridges connect the two cities and an Uber ride into Sao Jose from the commercial center of Floripa was not expensive (maybe 9-10 reais in off-peak hours). In fact, the prives in the area seem to be almost completely in Sao Joao. Two came to my attention on GP Guia. I was about to call the Uber and venture out to one of them, when I got a Whattsapp message from my favorite Nuru "terapista" asking me if I could spring 400 Reais for a four hands massage with a new colleague at her latest studio. Damn right I could / did. She was basically training the new girl in the erotic side of massage. She even made the new girl do the honors when it came time for the finale. Priceless.

But, I would like to try out these places in Sao Jose the next time I visit the area. I think they are affiliated.

Not long ago, there used to be abundant young people (including some girls) in the center of the pedestrian shopping district handing out flyers for different brothels. The prives were at the end of the east end of the commercial district. However, the only one that is currently advertising is at the end of Rua Tiradentes, (# 208 second floor) and was never open when I went by. Prices on the flyer was 60 reais, which I can't imagine would get you decent service or a lovely GP considering the going rate of independent girls. Another, just a block over Rua Felipe Schmidt is now occupied by a different business.

So what is really special about Floripa for the straight, horny male? Well, for starters, the beaches attract the beauties of Santa Catarina and other states, as well as women from Brazils neighbors, notably Argentina. Given the currency crisis in progress in Argentina its no wonder I didn't hear too much Spanish spoken on the beach (unlike Ipanema in July). But, to be sure the beaches of Joaquina and Mole had the highest concentration of beautiful young women I have seen in my life. Anywhere. What's more the beaches weren't super crowded so you could get a good view of everything (unlike a day on a crowded beach in Rio, where you can't see the forest the trees). Seriously, it's worth going to just for the girl watching. One day, I swear there were significantly more lovely young women than males, which made me wonder if I was in heaven. If you do want to experience this, I suggest you go after the new year and maybe up to now (ned of summer in Brazil). The beaches were empty when I visited in May and November. Stay in the village of Lagoa, which is a fun, hopping place on a salt water lagoon that is a mecca for parasailing and other watersports. You will need to Uber to the beaches. It would be a long walk though it could be done on bike.

And then there is another special sexual outlet that manifests itself in Floripa: the Nuru massage. The Magic Island is awash in young, pretty women with a holistic bent, who have been convinced that rubbing their bodies on that of naked men slathered in oil is a spiritual event. Now the story I got about the origins of Nuru massage is more conventional. It supposedly originated in Yokohama, Japan (a busy port and home of a large US Naval base) in the early 60's. The police tried to crack down on the Yakuza-run brothels, but they responded by turning them into "therapeutic" massage parlors using special oils and hence Nuru was born. And of course, sailors brought back stories of getting Nuru massages. However, the Brazilians got a different version of the story. According to their lore, (or at least the story the massage studios are peddling) their version was the product of a German practioneer of eastern philosophy who refined a Japanese massage technique into a holistic therapy. Yeah, right. Whoever that guy is I got to hand it to him, he found a good way to convince gullible women to do things they normally would not admit to doing. These "therapists" (terapistas) staunchly deny what they are doing is sexual, or related to prostitution in any manner. Having had one woman rub her lovely body over me for nearly an hour and then finishing with a "oral release" directly into her mouth, I can't imagine how it isn't a totally sexual experience. But, don't tell them that. Just go with the flow and enjoy the ride. Prices for Nuru runs in Floripa around 300 reais, though some places in SP go as low as 150 and as high as 600. You'll find plenty of these girls on Instagram promoting the therapeutic benefits of Nuru as well as lots of holistic, spiritual and feminist nonsense, that you need not buy into. However, these girls float around a bit to different studios in Floripa and in different cities, so any addresses would be dated quickly. Some even advertise in PA and other sites for GPS, though they tend to assert that they don't do the "programa".

If you are interested in getting a Nuru massage, I suggest you just do a search for "Nuru massage florianopolis" and you will get ample results. There is one group of studios I am familiar with, but I am reluctant to post a link here. You see anything posted here will pull up in a search engine and it's not the exposure they would want. Their website used to show all the numerous, lovely girls worked there and extolled the benefits of Nuru along with some racey videos. But, they pulled the plug on that, and many of the girls (including my favorites) left the organization for other studios in the same general area of centro. Current website is very sterile and back to promoting holistic massages (though I am sure you can still get your penis pulled very nicely). I follow some of these girls on Insta and they are regularly proclaiming that Nuru is not sexual and post screenshots of their Whatsapp messages (with much feigned frustration) from guys asking if they get a full program or if penetration is included. This is typically followed by a self-righteous statement about how you should not sexualize women's bodies (even as they frequently post sexy photos of themselves within the boundries of Insta policies, though some have been suspended for their racy photos). Its so silly and hypocritical on their part, but it's worth the experience to put up with the pretense. If you are, in fact, in Brazil and heading to Floripa, PM me and I will point you in the right direction for Nuru "therapy" (If you are not in Brazil, please don't bother me for contacts).

I was in Floripa for 10 days. Loved Centro and Jurere where I split time.

Slim pickings though, I ended up just focusing on the local escort scene using Private55.com. Average rate was 500 real an hour and I repeated with a few, repeats ended up resulting in more time spent at the same rate. No point providing reviews I think as it looks like turnover the site is quite high. Two of the ladies I was with are not on the site at the moment from what I can see.

Overall I think its a place you either want to take someone, or you are going to need to have to do the hard yards.

I loved the city and the island though.

I'm thinking of heading over for 4-5 days in January. Never been before so want to see it, just not 100% sure if I am wasting my time or not.

Those of you that have been, can you recommend the best areas to stay? Was thinking of just staying city centre and then catching taxis out to different parts, but it sounds like traffic is a nightmare.

I am here right now. It is a beautiful island, with some of the nicest beaches I've ever seen. Women here are hot and know how to present themselves. They look just like what you see in a noon o'clock Spanish soap opera. It still gets chill here and the lately bad weather did not help. I am leaving soon but visiting here in Dec or Jan would be a great idea.

I went to 2 venues, both only had two girls, and none were hot. I didn't partake. I would recommend this place for tourism in the right season, not for mongering.
