On Friday night the federal police closed all the discotheques and Praia de Iracema bar!

Is this true ? Does anyone knows what happened next ? What might have been the reason ? I hope they were all open next day, after all it is the center of action in Forta.

Friday nights are definitely the best nights at Mucuripe. Lots of beautiful regular girls.
Saturday nights are OK. Lower standard on the girls, but easier to pick up.

As Mucuripe Club has becomed popular among gringos, unfortunately it also started to attract some pro's. I say "unfortunately" because I prefer to have the pro's separated. That way it's easier to pick up the regular girls.

(I already knew Kapital has action every nite - I just wondered about the regular clubs not known for GDPs and if GDPs go to those regular clubs on that club's special nite).

I think the Pirata Bar does not have garotas de programa (GDPs) on their nite, which is Monday.

There are lots of pro's at Pirata on Mondays. If they ain't lucky they'll go on to Kapital.

So different nites for a special bar that nite. Nothing for Tuesday? Two nites for Armazem (Wed and Sat?). Are there garotas de programa on party nites? On Praia do futuro you will find a lot of "barracas" with live music. the night for praia do futuro is thursday. Go to Croco-Beach, Chicco do carangueijo, Coco-Beach, Boa Vida or Itaparika. In Fortaleza you have a party every night: Monday Pirata, wednesday Armazem, thursday Lounge Beach (Praia do Futuro), friday Mucuripe, saturday Armazem and on sunday Orbita.

Then you have the corner with the gdp (bikini, europa, cafe do mar and capital). Every night is action there. And before don't miss the Zipy Bar at around 10.00pm.

Howdy, amigo:

I've walked that whole length and (I think) it's just the eastern end of what would be called (by me) "Fortaleza Bay." As I remember, there're a few large outdoor dinner clubs, tennis court/soccer field, wide beach promenade down there before it turns the corner and becomes seaside cliffs and/or residential. Can't remember for sure. There's going to be action along this whole section of beach during the day, and probably next to nothing at night (they all head to Beira Mar). No guarantees. Hope this helps; sorry it's so imprecise (and I could be entirely wrong!).

What is the deal with Praia Futura at nite. I had heard a couple years ago that there are bars there with available garotas at nite. But that area was also supposed to be dangerous at nite. Anyone have any info re which bars, which nites etc?

Yeah, that's funny! But Brazilians are funny when they are talking English and don't get the difference between "beach" and "*****" :-)

And when we are talking about Brazilian football star Kaká (whose full name by the way is: Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite) we should really stress the second syllable rather than say "Káka"...
