I have tried a few of the must do restaurants in SP such as DOM, Mani, Evvai and so forth and they are good but I don't know if I will keep repeating them. Tasting menus are interesting but they don't fill me up so I like these places to have a good sit down meal.

It's not high class like the other places listed but there again, neither am I but I love the pernil sandwiches at Cervantes.

Cervantes definitely deserves a mention, it's classic especially the filet with cheese and pineapple or ham cheese and pineapple.

Cruzeiro's Bar serves steaks like what we have in the US. It's not rodizio but they serve quality Brazilian cut meat.

I've eaten at many Fogo de Chaos all over the states for the last 30 years and the quality (from service to food) has consistently degraded over that time. I think it roughly corresponds to when the business was sold by the founders. So I'm wondering two things, are they any better on their home turf and are there better options for rodizio style meat?

Don't care about the money, want the best experience.

If staying in Moema, I enjoyed trying this Brazilian / American (yes you read that right), casual spot Sancto Churrasco, they do both styles.

Seems like differing opinions on this, but I really liked Casa do Porco in the downtown area (lots of vagrants though).

It's just a block from the Mercure Ibirapuera Privilege hotel and not only is the sushi great; it has a great ambiance. Wonderful place to take a date. Strong recommend.

Glad to see this was added. I have been collecting various places people have randomly mentioned in reports. I'm looking forward to seeing stuff in one spot.

Ill start with a little take out hole in the wall I liked. Again this place is not fancy but the staff was nice and the food was decent.
