My yearly update on Manaus. Only minor changes.


PRO SCENE *****************************************************

* REMULOS:
Even though Remulos is loosing in quality it continues to be one of the most fun strip clubs in Brazil.
Rua Lobo D'Almada, 363. Two blocks from Teatro Amazonas.
Opens 18-19. Closes late.
Entrance=R$10.
Girl=R$ 50/30 min
Note 1: The girls might ask for R$60-70, but all of them accepts R$ 50/30 minutes. Just negotiate.
Note 2: There are two kinds of girls at Remulos. The "house-girls"/dancers and the freelancers. In general the house-girls gives a better service. Don´t pay in advance.
Note 3: The service has become different. It used to always be BBBJ and often 2 pops in the limit of almost one hour. Now most girls only do CBJ and are stricter about the 30 minutes.
Note 4: Remulos is loosing in quality of the girls. The quality of the girls is still quite good, but not as many stunners as there used to be.

Room=R$ 15 (big clean rooms with AC and jacuzzi)
Beer=R$ 3
Tabledance>R$15
About 40 girls working, including freelancers.
Quality=about 25% doable, a few stunners.
Note 5: You also have the option of Sala Vip, R$ 30. You go to a quickie-room behind the snooker tables and can stay for a period of during 2 songs (about 10 min).

* AQUARIUS: Strip Club next door to Remulos. Currently closed because of renovations.

* DAMA DA NOITE: A new Strip Club opposite Remulos. It opens around 3 PM and closes before midnight. The owner is the same as of Remulos. Most girls you see here you also see at Remulos.

* BLUE STAR: A Strip Club one block down from Remulos, on the other side of the street. It opens around 3 PM. A bit rough place. Quality varies a lot but usually a few doable girls. Cheaper than Remulos.

* VIP ROOM: A club four doors below Remulos. I never had the opportunity to check it out.

* CENTRO CLUBS, LOW END:
- Close to the port, next to the Banco do Brasil there are two side-treets with lots of bars and strip-clubs. Located behind the bus stop (look for the sign "Hotel Central"). Some of these places are for afternoon/evening action.
- On the first street you´ll find 4 strip clubs:
# Natureza: Small place.
# Mistura Fina: Big place. Tabledances.
# Big House: Big place.
# Aquarella´s Bar: Big place. Tabledances.
None of them charges a entrance fee.
- On the second street you´ll find ho-bars.
# Bar Anaconda
# Bar Holanda
# Bar do Junior
# Diplomata Drinks Bar
# Novo Mania
Note: All of these places are very sleazy and very lowend. Except for a few of the strippers there are almost no doable women. Go there to have fun, but don´t have any high expectations of meeting sexy girls.
- About 95% of the girls are not doable.
- R$ 20-30/30 min, R$ 7-10/room

* STREETWALKERS:
A few streetwalkers in centro. On the two ho-streets and a few close to the Catedral. usually a few pro´s strolling inside the port building. Restaurant Mitoso, Praca do Indio, is no longer a GP-hangout.

There are also some ho-streets spread out in the city. Requires a car and be very careful of what you pick up.

NONPRO SCENE *****************************************************

* Manaus continues to be one of the best destinations in Brazil for non-pro action. Excellent nightlife. It´s very easy to pick-up non-pro´s.

* Notes on the clubs above:
- Most of the clubs (a couple of exceptions) above are forró clubs.
- The people visiting the clubs differs a bit. Some clubs have a lot of vagabundos/povão and less nice girls. Others holds a higher standard on the people coming there.
- Entrances about R$10-15. Beer R$3.
- Most of them are either located in Tarumã or Cidade Nova.
- If you want to save some money you can take a bus going to the club.
Cidade Nova: bus 300 or 640, Ponta Negra: bus 120
- Taxi: depends on the location. About R$ 15-30 if you do some bargain.

NOTES ON THE MANAUS GIRLS *****************************************************
- You´ll see a lot of really chubby, fat and ugly girls in Manaus. However there is a small percentage (about 10%) of beautiful girls. Some are really breath-taking stunners. Very few beautiful girls over 25 years..
- Be very cautious of the girls ages or you might get yourself into serious trouble.
- Go to Manaus for partying and f*ck around. Don´t expect to meet girls for serious relationships.
- The Manaus girls are the worst in Brazil when it comes to arriving late to dates.

I was just passing by the ho-area down at the bus station. I will check it out again in one hour. I know it's a bit of hard work finding the gems there.

I have very busy days in Manaus, but I'll give an update shortly. The non-pro scene at the forró clubs continues to be very good. Remulos is still good. Being a Remulos-fan for many years I'm a bit sad that Remulos is loosing in quality. Still lots of girls, but less of these 8-10 points girls that really have to be tried out. Also more girls with a hardcore style only doing CBJ, keeping an eye on the clock and wanting a fortune for doing extras like anal.

BTW, I identified the bunda-girl posted by Littletruths. A short girl with a very nice butt. She was taken just before I had the chance.

Across the street from Remulos opened Dama the Noite. It's the same owner as Remulos. The club opens at 2 PM and close around 9-12 PM I think. I will check it out today. Aquarius is closed, being renovated.

So just curious as to your report on the non-pro / samba school scene. Are you saying that the Manaus Samba Escolas, are a good place to pickup non-pros? Do you have any examples of any in Samba Escolas Manaus? Addresses? More Info?

Also, how did you do with regards to finding / meeting or picking up girls at any of these places? Basically, did you get lucky or where you there simply to watch the events?

For instance in the G. R. E. S. Samba Escola Mangueira in Rio de Janeiro you can meet.

Renata Santos, rainha the batteria, beeing a centerfold in Brasilian Playboy or Nicole Bahls, beeing a centerfold too. But you can although meet football player from famos clubs such as Flamengo.

Activities in the Samba Schools (competitions, ensaios.) take place from August to Carnaval on Saturday from midnight till morning.

Parallel to the events inside the Samba Schools you can join in front of them a street party the whole night long.

The girls enjoy when you dance with them and they can show their Samba Skills.

Be aware, of what kind of company the girl is.

If she has a girlfriend or body guards, just dance with her. Look how the other man are going to operate.

The first Samba escola in Manaus is Samba Escola G. R. E. S. A Grande Familia (Sao Jose).

I was in luck and observed the selection of the rainha the batteria (Dancing Queen of the percussion group). Rainha the batteria for Carnaval 2011 of A Grande Familia is Suzanna Santos, a beautiful Morena with Afro Look. She had a very strong mulata competitor with marvelous legs, but at least Suzanna Santos won with her youthfulness and ease.

Among the 1000-5000 visitors normaly are many good looking and charming dancing girls. Most of them are open minded to Gringos / estrangeiros (strangers).

Manaus Events.

- Street party after Christmas Concert.

At the 25. Of December takes place a Christmas Concert in front of the Amazon Theatre from 19:00 to 22:00 o'clock with about 80. 000 visitors. Afterwords there is a great street party with many oportunities to get in contact with Non Pros.

- New year's eve.

In Manaus there are actually 3 offical public events on New year's eve.

I visited the event in the Sambodrom, in company with more then 50. 000 other visitors, especially with many marvelous young women dancing to brasilian music like:

Batteria de G. R. E. S. Samba Escola Aparecida, Micheal Telo and Forro Banda Tsunami.

Paritims Events.

During the last three days in June, in Parintims takes place a local (amazon) festival from Indios, called 'Bumba Meu Boi', alternative to the african influenced Carnaval.

Parks in Manaus.

In Manaus universities and public schools have holidays from December to March.

During these months, there is less 'traffic' in Praca de Saudade and Praca do Congresso.

At Praca the Policia (com Ginasio) opend a new Café, a good location to have a drink with a babe, previously picked up in the park.

Ponta Negra.

Lower level: Many people swimming in Rio Negro on Sunday. Underdeveloped beach culture.

Middel level: Bar area with Forro Music.

Upper level: Bar Laranjinha is actually closed for renovation.

Streetwalkers.

The operating area of the Streetwalkers is quite great:

- Rua Lobo D'Alma from Remulos to Praca the Matriz.

- Zona around Palace Hotel.

- West side wing of Iglesia Nossa Senhora the Conceicao.

- North part of the Rodoviaria.

- Street with Low-end and medium bars (1)

- Street with Ho- bars (2)

- Street from Palace Hotel to Praca Dom Pedro II.

- Parking place (Estacionamento) between 1 and 2.

Ho-bars.

The Ho-bars serve the Streetwalkers as meeting and contact point.

Regularly they are quite small. The biggest one is Bar Holanda.

Most of them are opened Monday till Saturday a manha, a tarde e a noite, but not later than midnight.

There is an impact of garotas de programa and clientes late in the afternoon.

On the parking place between 1 and 2 there are two meetings points:

Café Bar (opend just a tarde).

Bar do Gilberto (mainly opend a noite).

Bar do Gilberto is still open, when all other bars have closed. It is the latest meeting point for the dancing girls, which will put there dancing shoes after work on the tables.

Low End Bars.

Between the Low End Bars exist some differences:

Big House normaly stays open in the afternoon (a tarde) for day time action.

Aquarella's Bar and Natureza stay open at night. On Domingo and Monday they close quite early, depending on the clients.

In each Low End Bar you will find a least one very good looking bailarina.

They could also work in Remulos, but they prefer the athmosphere in the Low End Bars.

It is nice to experience them joking with their girls friend and feeling good.

The 'emergency rooms' in all Low End Bars are out of question extrem bad.

You have to take a girl from here away in an Motel nearby.

Medium Bars.

I think, that Mistura Fina is in between the low- and high end bars.

The emergency rooms are as bad as in the low end bars.

At least 5 bailarinas are very good looking and performing.

The music is as good as in Remulos.

The location has an altitude, which is double as high as the one of Remulos. This has a great impact on the girls pole and the acoustic.

The Bar is openend each day of the week from six o'clock in the afternoon till 04 o'clock in the morning (Domingo e Segunda-feira a meia-noite).

Actually one of the best bailarina is 'M* V*'.

High End Bars.

Remulos.

The report by Sperto is extraordinary.

I just want to add some information to Remulos.

As questioned before, the correct adress is: Remulo's Club, Rua Lobo D'Alma. 363, Centro | Manaus.

You can't miss it: White façade with red neon sign 'Remulo's Club', long entrance region.

The Entrance fee of 10 REAIS has to be paid to the doorman, on weekend at the box office.

When you enter, you are in Amazon-Paradise.

From Thursday till Saturday the amount of women is with more than 50 Garotas very high.

From 23:00 o'clock on strippers occur in short time slots.

The emergency rooms are first glass. If you want, you can stay in extreme large rooms up to 50 qm with extreme large beds for group sex etc.

One of the best bailarina is 'C*' (Morena) , but she will stay in Rio de Janeiro from January till April 2011.

Crocodilo.

I highly recommend the combination:

Remulos first (pic up a woman there) , Crododilo second and Hotel / Motel third.

Crocodilo is not a Forro Club, as reported earlier, but a club for 'Musica Electronica' (Techno Music).

It is opened on Sunday and when a Luxury-Liner stays at the port.

Especially then you will find the actual as well as the old Garotas de Programa there (a piece of Garota history of Manaus).

Homen at Crocodilo are muito musculoso and often tattooed.

People dance very ecstatic – because – many of them take cocaine.

I'm grateful.

I think it is necessary to stay in all places many hours to see how they change time by time and to get in contact with the great varity and richness of the womens's culture in Manaus.

I treat them all with great respect, even the ones, which don`t have the luck to be well looking.

I wear them in my heart. That is what I take home with me from all of them. Who share with us their paradise.

There is also another strip club (Paradiso or something) directly across the road from Remulos (that I believe is owned by same owner as Remulos). From the looks of things, their efforts is to setup another American style strip club with headline strippers, marquee performers. Etc. I have never been inside, nor to I care to go inside if this is the case. Sperto do you know the real deal with this club?

Xote de Menina is in bairro Tarumã, very far away. I can't recall which bus that goes to Tarumã. Sorry.

Remulos. I usually pass Remulos quite early, around 7 PM. Relax in the icecold AC, sip on a Skol and have a plate of their delicious batata fritas. It's fun to see the girls arriving in civilian clothes before they dress up in monster boots and ho-costumes. I try to do my picking before 9 PM. Being their first customer feels nice. Afterwards a shower and then of to the forró clubs in a relaxed mood.

Spidy, I guess it has been at least two years since you last visited Manaus?...Remulos is not as wild as it was in the old days (when the strip-stage was where the pool tables are now). Then it was like in the bar in the movie From Dusk to Dawn. P*ssy everywhere, outrageuos tabledances where everything except penetration was allowed, fights and the guys ass-fingering the strippers on the strip stage....

Yep! It's been about 2 or 3 years since I last visited Manaus and alot has changed IMO, especially Remulos. Yes, yes, yes, I remember the good ole days, where the action on the floor was incredible. It was just as you describe it, a "From Dusk to Dawn" type atmosphere. Pussy everywhere in plain sight, intermingled between dark nooks and crannies, semi-pros everywhere, table dances galore, pussy / ass-fingering everywhere and the best groping on the planet. This for me was the BEST CLUB IN THE WORLD at the time.

You mentioned a place 2-doors down from Remulos (down, meaning you're not talking about Aquarius which would be one door up). A new strip club, nice! Now there are 4 clubs on Rua Lobo D'Almada.

No, not Aquarius, this club is literally 2-doors down the street (as you walk down hill on Rua Lobo D'Almada). Popped my head in Aquarius (if I remember) a couple of times and nothing special. Although half of the nights I went to Remulos, it was rather late, like 1am-2am and Aquarius was closed by then.

Forget to mention BLUE STAR, strip-club (an afternoon strip club, on Rua Lobo D'Almada) was in my opinion a waste of time and very "fracisimo" (sp?). Entrada R$3 and GDPs wanted R$50-60 for 30min. (if I remember correctly). This use to be a great afternoon club / early evening club to go to, but was empty (Tues, Wed around 4-6pm) and all I saw were basically the same hardcore pro GDP girls, you would see at Remulos.

Emporio Pizza Bar and Plaza do Carangaju (Praça do Caranguejo) was news to me. Very interesting.

I think it's probably a good place to pickup non-pros (if you can get by the snotty attitude, as SlutLover, points out), if you speak Portuguese well enough and have some game. I cannot speak to the quality of the women on a busy night, but I did see a few 8's in the short time I was there. I even saw a couple of young semi-pro girls, trying to score dates.

- I have been to Emporio's last Tuesday. It's in the Ferrada neighbourhood. Crowded but rather snobby if you don't speak Portuguese. Crowd thinks they are the shit because the beer is R$4 rather than R$3 and the Red Bull R$12 rather than R$10. I wasn't getting anywhere.

- At Crocodilos on Sundays, I can confirm that the guy-girl ratio is worse than back home. 3:1 indeed, not my kind of place.

- Overall, I was a bit disappointed with Manaus. 4 girls out of 10 nights out. I was doing much better in Kiev, especially on the quality front. But again, I have basic Portuguese and fluent Russian, with fluent Portuguese Manaus will be better, at least for quantity. If I'm back I'll try to use buses and maybe even stay at the hostel, then take the girl back to a motel if I score. Hotel Opção (right opposite the Teatro Amazonas) is a mere R$10 for 2 hours. Condoms are R$1 each.

- Had my hair dyed a dark colour previously as that looks better on me IMO and, it seems, in the London and Kiev girls' opinion as well. Am originally a dark blonde and suspect I should go back to that. Although I'm German, people can't tell from seeing me that I'm a gringo. Not sure, though, if I trust a hairdresser in Rio Branco, where I'll be from Dec 27.

- First night in Porto Velho went well, but again only once it became known I'm a gringo. Before that I was largely ignored, no flirting unless I was acting myself. In Kiev I had lots of girls (non-pros) giving me the eye but not here.
