you might think about flying into iquitos and taking the transtour speedboat (about 7 hours) to tabatinga. from tabatinga fly to manaus.

Regarding Carnaval I was in Rio. Which was insane, crazy, and lot's of chicas. They tried to raise the prices, but they seemed to forget that it was a monger's market. So there would be no extra cash in it. Anyway wrong board for this. But I'm not a big fan of Rio.

Getting back to Manaus, my ship will not be going back, but I'm obsessed in getting back. Since I do not fly into Brazil much the air passes will not help me, and I can't find airfare for under USD $1,000. Does anybody know the cheapest way to get to Manaus from the States (Mia)? Seems like i can save a couple hundered flying into Iquitos, then taking a boat there. But that takes too much time.

I would love to get back to some of the smaller towns along the river, cause there your a King.

One more thing, for anybody who is thinking about going to Manaus, do it. The Indian mixes there are something, the girls are just stunning, warm, and love Sex. Just stay away from the tourist traps. It's so easy to score there for free.

I went with two cousins to Brasil for Carnaval and had a great time. I will call them M and N. M lives in Miami and N in California.

I was able to pick up for them ( and me) many non pros and some pros for free. The venues were full with young and wild chicks partying all over town: Bloco das Piranhas ( a wild and funny party where men dress as women), Sambodromo , Clube Atletico Rio Negro ball, etc. As my portuguese language skills and my understanding of brazilian pussy-hunting techniques improve, I am being able to pick more and more non-pros. We pretty much got a different girl every day of Carnaval. Definitively this city is an excellent place to get non-pros, a lot better , in my opinion to other cities I had stayed.

Regarding pros, at Laranjinha we found two pretty girls , Angelina and Meg. They only got paid for one night only, the next few days they became my cousin´s ´girlfriends´, they would spent the day at their houses screwing all day long. It was so funny to see the girls go perform their occupations at night , and then after that they would come to wherever we were partying to join in and then go home with them.

They cried a lot at the airport when they had to come back to the States. I remained in Manaus for business purposes. They will definitevely will come back to Manaus, N has been in Brasil several times and M has been once in Rio, they concur it has the best scene for non pro action , and they are crazy to come back.

Regarding places `Kild`near the airport is being run by the cook, they are charging R40 for the entrance with the included 20 minutes massage, and the quality of the girls have gone down dramatically, the girls are refusing to perfom the massage in the nude, and you can take your pants only. Had a disatrous experience aND I will not recommend it anymore. There are rumor is that it is closed.

Kiss has been ruined by the overpaying chinese, japanese and other orientals, they must be paying R 200 for a hand job. There are still some quality girls 6-8, about 20 girls working there. It is getting ridiculous I went there 2 weeks ago and this cute indian girl with wanted R 400 for TLN, I thought : WTF? And I speak the language, imagine somebody who can´t even say Sim or Não. Why should you pay that amount in a city you can get it for free or almost free? Answer : you have to be a Jap to do that, or a guy who only speaks english. Do yourselves a favor and learn some portuguese before you come to Brasil, especially to Manaus.

Remulos has been in bad shape for some time, still there are a few girls 7-8 cute enough to get my money. But go on weekdays, not on weekends when it is full with hundreds of blue collar brazilians looking for a cheap fuck. They snatch the few ones on their way back from upstairs. Entrance R 5 on weekends and R 3 weekdays.

Laranjinha is always good enough to have some 7-8s , the good thing is this is a decent venue where a lot of families and tourist groups go to see the BOI dance. Open air venue with very relaxing atmosphere with good service and cold beer. Most girls are charging R 150 but will try to get 200-300 from you. You can get a good girl for TLN for those 150 if you can negotiate. And later become the girls boyfriend for the rest of your stay.

As I always said your best bet to get pussy is the Pagodes and Forros. I will mention only two of them but there many more.

The Pagode do Ao Mirante in Compensa overlooks the river and is always full with hundreds of gorgeus babes of all colors and sizes, very cheap beer. Among them you will always find many pros who go there to dance and have a good time after work.

Companhia do Forro in the Cidade Nova it a huge area with a roof, it is dirt , crowed, noisy and sometimes dangerous. It has two ambients: Pagode and Forro , the most crowed, there you will find thousands of young, hot and wild non pros looking to `ficar`(brazilian jargon for a one night stand) with somebody who talks its way into her pants. You don´t have to be very handsome or young or dress to impress to get one. of course if you are both then your chances will increase. You will also find hundreds of pros and semi pros who go there after work ( or intead of work). Very cheap beer R3 and entrance R5. If you go there go with a local.

There are also: Pagode da Gerencia, Simbola, Planeta Talismão , O Balneario ( on mondays) wich are pretty much of the same thing except they are smaller.

I also like to walk around Centro where there are dozens of high schools with huge quantities of legal age girls walking around at the begining and end of the classes. Also there are about 4 University Campuses in the area. result is humungous amounts of eye candy. Sit down on a open air barzinho or lanchonete and observe the bustle and movement of downtwon, with ten of thousand of girls coming and going from work or school. Sit down and smile to any gilr who makes eye contact , if she smiles back try to communicate with her, invite her to a soda, or beer ,chances are that she won´t go to school that night.

Don´t be shy, shyness does not exist in the Brazilian dictionary, use the CARA DE PAU approach, where you go from girl to girl until you find one who thinks you are the most beautiful guy in the world, don´t fear rejection just move on. I started to use it and has paid handsomely. Right now I am able to do 80% free sex and 20% paid. I pay only when I am lazy and don´t feel like going from one to another.

Keep enjoying this isolated, overlooked paradise in the middle of the jungle while it lasts.

Hey, Fellow Mongers

I know Art inquired about Santarem. The past two weeks I've been to both Santarem and Parintins. Neither gets the amounts of foreigners or tourists that Manaus gets. So it’s extremely easy to get lucky here, but you will need to know some Portuguese here. Very few girls even speak Spanish, English forget it.

There is a place 15 minutes from the port, I could not make out if it was an apartment, or a bar. But it’s P4P there. Next to the gates to the port there were a few girls lingering. But I did not have time to sample the professional girls from here. I met this incredible bar waitress here though. It took me two lunch dates, but in the end she was sucking my tongue among other things.

Parintins
With even less tourist traffic here, I felt fairly popular. It’s a pretty cool little town. If you can get here, you should go visit. There were some bars in the dock area, that had many chicas available. My friends told me about $20.00. But I imagine a place like this, they can be bargained under $20.00.

Finally got to Manaus, which is the only major Brazilian city that has eluded me for mongering pleasures. Manaus is great.

Two places I have not seen mentioned are....

Cruise Ship terminal
In the cruise ship terminal there are a bunch of outside tables with a few bars spread around. During the day time up to about midnight many Garotas hang out. Not the best looking chicas, but always a few that are good looking. Although I did not try any of them. I was told they were about $20.00 USD for two hours, with $5.00 USD dollars for the room.

Crocodillo Disco
About a ten minute walk from the port is the Crocodillo disco. All pros and semi pros in a freelance environment. Mixed drinks are $3.00 USD. Beers were $1.00 USD. I went there on a Thursday and Friday night. By 1:00 AM there were over 50 Chicas. Perhaps 10-15 of them were dogs or fat or both, but most of them were good looking. With perhaps 5-8 being drop dead gorgeous.

The first night I had Alessandra, second night I had Renata. Both sweethearts. I paid both of them $40.00 USD for two hours, with $5.00 USD for a hotel close by. Sorry for the bad quality of the photos.

ATMs I use in Brazil: Banco do Brasil, HSBC, Banco Bradesco and Citibank.

When I´m in Manaus i use the main agency of Banco do Brasil in centro or HSBC on Rua 24 de Maio. You also find working ATMs in the shoppingcenter and at the airport.

Wether there are ATMs working in the night I don´t know.

yes i know there are many ATM's in Manaus. i wanted to know which ones had worked for travellers. i've read reports of foreign debit cards not working on ATM's in Manaus. (btw, this is the first i've heard of ATM's closing in the evening in Manaus. they used to do that in Rio.)
my example:
my Debit Card only works on a Banco Do Brasil ATM with the MasterCard Cirrus logo (an ATM with international access).
in Rio i've tried it on a Bradesco, HSBC, Bank of Boston ATM's with the international logos, and it did not work. The HSBC ATM at the Tropical Hotel Manaus has the MasterCard Cirrus logos, and again my Debit Card did not work.

my GF has relatives in Manaus, they directed me to the international ATM at the Tropical. according to them, none of the Banco do Brasil ATM's have the international logos. i was unable to verify that and find it hard to believe.

There are many ATM's in Manus. Just ask someone.

Only one thing: Most ATMs close in the evening, and we had to drive all over to find one that was open! But during daytime it should be no problem if you use mastercard, american express or visa.

the HSBC ATM was not working when i went; thank God the Bradesco ATM worked.

I stayed at Hotel Magnifico. There are 3 of them in the center. Almost all guests stay for shorttime (because it really is a Motel). Doublebed, hidromassagem, mirrors, frigobar, TV, bathroom (cold water) and A/C. Clean rooms and nice staff.

If you need a regular hotel I heard that Hotel Brasil, on Av Getulio Vargas, is good.
