Posts: 87Anyone else in Natal Sep 3 - 6?
After Fortaleza, I'm staying the weekend in Natal (Aparthotel near Ponta Negra). Let me know if you'll be there and want to meet up and scout the scene. Doesn't sound like the scene is too great in Natal any more, but I'll try to post an update on the scene from down there or when I'm back.

Too bad about Laroche's post that the Fuso Horario area - the newer bar complex on Salsa Street - has gone downhill. As I mentioned in my previous post, I was there in Nov 2008, a month after it opened. My friend and I both liked it - there were lots of girls. A shame it has gone downhill.
I wonder if the action is still almost all short time as when I was there. Also, are Sundays and Mondays completely dead, or are there a few girls?
The hotel I stayed at on the main street by the beach in Ponta Negra (I forgot the hotel's name but it is very popular) had programa girls hanging out sitting down at tables in the hotel's outdoor restaurant in the late afternoon and dinnertime. I wonder if they are still there.

Was in Natal last month again for some R&R. Have a buddy that has a home there and was finally able to take him up on the offer of using it when he was away. Had lots of fun but noticed things slowing down quite a bit and everyone finding the economy slowing. The girls asking way too much now and just a very different scene from years ago.
Girls asking for insane amounts but just keep your price of what you think she's worth and it'll all work out.
Met this little lady, well about 5'11 and 118lbs at the beach in PN. Was there having some beers and seeing what was around. Hooked up for the day and evening. She was quite fun and amazing could drink for her size. Decided to ask her the next day if she wanted to hangout. I didn't expect the outcome though. Stayed with me for the next 4 weeks. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, great massage. Cost me a few bucks here and there and some shopping. Still managed to get away for some other excitement but this was a very nice surprise to find. Her ass was nice and firm like you could crack and egg on it!
Hate to say it but the best part of the trip was running in to her.

Posts: 22NATAL is finished....( as a mongering destination )
Natal update June 2010
For some basic info and in order to put this information into context, I refer to my previous update October 2008 in this section.
It is sad to to say this, but the once booming nightlive of Natal is gone.
Moreover, due to currency issues, Brazil is becoming quite expensive when compared to 2 or 4 years ago.
Exchange rates during the period in the "Casas de Cambio":
1 EUR = 2, 10.2, 20
To make things worse, flying to Natal is much more expensive and complicated as well.
So, if you are considering going there for the noble art of mongering, think twice and do not waste your money and your time.
For the others who are due to be there, here is the information.
The famous Cucaracha is closed forever and this is a big loss indeed.
The little action to be found is in "the Salsa Bar street".
All the bars in the upper part of the street are gone and most of them are converted into parking lots with a tout asking 5 reais to see after you limo.
Well known places closed now: Azucar disco, Samsara, Amiça Disco, Coco Loco (Coco-crooks deserved it)
The only place where whorth visiting is "FUSO HORARIO square" (see description is the Oct. 2088 update).
There are fewer bars there now and much fewer girls. Sunday and Monday is simply dead.
Prices have not changed much; 3 reais for a beer and 5 for a caipirinha.
Not entrance fees, no scams, no problems, so the place is still OK.
The are very few stunning girls around, fewer than before for sure.
Most of them are below the Brazilian beauty average.
Standard fee is 150 reais, although some will ask you for more (always depending of your looks and nationality) and you might have to bargain.
Warning 1: bring your passport at night. Cops are eager to extort money from you if you do not have it. There are very few tourists there now and therefore the chances thy will stop just you are huge.
Warning 2: Avoid Casa Zensala; the damage could reach 500 reais and counting. The place is run by mafia related crooks.
Last but not least, Ponta Negra beach by day is a OK hunting ground, specially during weekends and if you manage a few sentences in Portuguese you might find company for the night.
But then again, this apply to any coastal city of Brazil.
Take care!

Just found some photos on a card, want to share this cute girl.
Saw her in the Cucaracha Disco, took her in my hotel two times.
She called herself Rosie.
She made me a hot striptease, very nice and friendly girl. But lost contact and I was very sad.
If anybody see her, please contact me.
I think she told me she was in Italy for a time.
But she seemed not very happy about this experience.
Photos are from 2006.
Quite dead here, no more new photos?
Nobody going to Natal?

I really liked the atmosphere of the place, and liked having so many girls in one small area. Several were lookers. My only complaint is this was pretty much short time - very few did all nite.
Any update on what the action is like at that new Salsa Street complex now? Is it still the same as when I was there? I may be returning to Natal in November. (And I agree, Natal is a nice place.)Last edited by Admin; 06-24-10 at 07:37.

When I travelled to Ponta Negra 5 years ago there was a circuit of happening discos/nightclubs depending on the night where it was possible to get gdp and semi pro action. Cucacaracha was one such venue. What is that scene like now, or is it just Salsa Street as alluded to in these reports?
I don't recall a Salsa St when I was there 5 years ago. If anyone can tell me what the current weekly schedule is I would most appreciate it. I will be in NE Brazil later this year and hope to return to Ponta Negra.

The only place in natal worth talking about is the salsa street, it got meny bars discos filded with girls, I been traveling to natal since 2002 and the place is not the same enymore, enyway it got lots of good looking girls but theres almost only pro's left not like some years ago. Just talk to the taxidriver and say salsa and they drive you there. There where some years ago lots of action daytime at the pontanegra beach but its rely slow there now. Its also 30% less tourist this last year so most of the traveling girls go to fortaleza insted.
But natal is a nice place.

Fellow mongers,
I am here yet again seeking your help. I am planning a trip to Natal for 5 days to a week around Xmas this year. As I will be going with girlfriend (2 couples, dull but such is life), I am trying to get some information on bars, nightclubs, restaurants and general touristic points of interest in Natal, as well as interesting resorts in its proximity (the Natal equivalents of Cumbuco, Jericoacoara, Canoa Quebrada). I will have a car whilst there. I would appreciate greatly any tips, or perhaps pointing me out to any online guides. I speak enough portuguese to get around and to read guides in portuguese.
Many thanks in advance.
