But in general, Natal is much cheaper than Rio, even with Italians and other europeans spoiling the local GDP's and inflating prices in Ponta Negra.
Least time I've been in Natal I went to a motel right across the street at Praia dos Artistas, payed R$ 30, 00 for the motel and R$ 80, 00 for the GDP FOR A WHOLE AFTERNOON!

Posts: 385Is Fuso Horario in Natal closed?
Is the Fuso Horario bar complex on Salsa Street in Natal now closed? If it is open, are there still programa girls working there now? I NEED TO KNOW this because I am planning a trip to Brazil this Fall.
I last went there in the Fall of 2010 and found Fuso Horario to be a great place with lots of good looking programa girls. This was months AFTER I read posts on this forum that there was almost no action in Natal except for Fuso Horario, and that Fuso Horario was not very good. But my friend and I went to Natal anyway, despite the negative posts on this site. We were glad we went because we both loved the bars at Fuso Horario. The atmosphere was great and there were a lot of good looking programa girls. So I'm wondering if this place is now closed. if so, not sure if I will return to Natal unless a new bar area opens.Last edited by Henry R; 02-19-13 at 06:14. Reason: new info

i have taken the freedom to quote some members from jacksons forum (argentina private) where the buenos aires lovers vent their frustration.

the magic is gone.
i've been coming to ba for over a decade. the golden age was after the pesos was allowed to float. the quality was high and the price was low. there was a time when i had to throw girls out since they wouldn't leave on their own accord. 5 years ago, the quality was ok and so was the price. there were volume discounts. now, the price is high and the quality is low. i wouldn't even do many of the women there if they paid me.
recoleta used to be the epicenter. there were a string of clubs on that street before madahos. playwoman, solid gold and others i can no longer remember. they are all gone now. recoleta has gone from an epic nightspot with wall to wall people on a friday and saturday night to where the center of action is tgif. all the big clubs are gone. it's an american shopping mall now.
it's more than the girls. it's prices in general. the steak was great for 25 pesos. now 25 pesos won't even get a big mac meal at mcdonalds. grants is gone.

i'm sorry to say i agree.
unfortuneitly the majic is gone and replaced by substandard chica's and outrageous prices.
i remember the days that its was difficult to spend a $100 usd in a day. that included the best steak dinner in town, a bottle of wine and included mongering. taxi's in those days were almost free. you could hang out at cafe excedra all night "window shopping" and drink coffee for 4 peso's, now its 4 dollars, but excedra is closed.
top shelf chica's were not more that $150 peso's in the best clubs and if you fell in love and wanted tln it would run you $300 peso's. i remember when catto's raised their beer price from $10 peso's to $15 peso's and we all went nuts. now day go to the "triangle" and see what you pay.
the airfare was a third of what it is today.
its all sad, but true, even the service is not what it was.

imho, the world is getting more and more fragmented (the girls use the internet maybe even more than we do, and prices and gossip travels with the speed of a keystroke)
new places is being overrun due to fast spread info on forums. followed by cheap package-deals travels and price inflation follows fast.
from my experience, today you have to chose: good beach or good prices (you can not have good beach and unspoiled, good prices like back in natal 2003-2004)
a south american destination that has not been overrun is asuncion, paraguay. but go there for the sex, as there will not be much else to do.
and take a sidetrip to buenos aires, not cheap by any means, but a beautiful city, and the steaks are still good, even that expensive.
for you guys intrested in a asuncion-buenos aires trip, i have written a asuncion guide you can find here:
http://www.argentinaprivate.com/foru...el-guide/page4
good speed to you all, and good luck on your adventures.

When I wrote that 2 years ago the changes were allready very clear to me.
In 2004-2006 Natal was probably one of the best places in the World for the noble art of mongering.
That was then. 7 or 8 years ago. We are in 2012, so keep the memories and come back to reality.
Now it is even worse than in 2010.
Frankly do not waste your time if the purpose of your tripto Natal is just to chase working ladies.
The few girls you see around in the said street are some die-harders looking for an idiot of a gringo to pay a ridicolous price for a quick pop.
Take care.

Hi,
They all closed, whats left off the once so alive street is only 2 or 3 bars that are not mentioned naming over here. The scene for tourist in ponta negra disappeared all. This is what the government did already for the big clean up for the world cup in 2014. Don t expect anything in natal or you got to know some portugeas an head in to the city but ponta negra is like a memory at the moment just like fortalezA. BUT I'm SO HAPPY TO HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS CITYS LIKE 5-10 years ago, back then they were great you had the most best looking girls for ridiuclous prices, but every since the exchange rate gut fucked, I haven't had a areason to go back to this places due to prices. You can nowadays find the same brasil experience elsewhere in SA for far lower perices than in BR.

Posts: 91Sure that Azucar is closed?
Oh my god, what a pity. Anyone knows sure if Azucar is closed?
This was such a good place. I was there every evening in 2006.
And Cucaracha? The other disco nearby?
I am thinking of travelling again, but if all that good places are closed, I don't know what to do and where to go.
I appreciate every new information, thank you.

Not sure if the disco is open but Salsa Street was.
From what I understand it has toned down a bit but still worth the visit IMHO.
Quite a few bars, live music and a rodizio the mulher.
This was two years ago.
150 rs for the night, well worth it.
Greengo.
I think that place has been shut down for years.
Hello, wanted to share some of my photos I took in Natal some years ago, must have been in 2006.
In the Disco AZUCAR ons Salsa Street in Ponta Negra.
Hope you like it.

Reading the natal section was wondering if there are venues other than clubs to find pleasure. Is there a concept of private apartments in Natal or Forteleza. If so are they safe? What about terma type venue's? How are you supposed to fuck during the day if you have to wait till late evening and for the clubs to get going?
