rio bob, my post was not aimed at you. it was just a statement for the members in general.
i have a pet peeve about places like centaurus and barberellas.
i always try and discourage people from going to either place. maybe if enough tourists boycott both places they will treat us better and try and ripp us off......

Yes you are right about Barbarellas, it is more expensive to party there but all I was saying was that you should see it once. Just like on my last trip in all the years I have been going to Rio I had never been to Centaurus and I went and Im glad I had the experience.

I haven't been to Barbarellas in about 3 years for the most part I just strictly go to Help now with during a 10 day trip I go once to a termas and get one escort delivered but Help every night unless I meet a non pro normal girl then I go to the normal clubs with her.

There are many different ways to do Rio and everybody does it a little different and it is all good.

Barberellas is a RIP-OFF club, if you ask me. It's nothing more than a tourist trap. 50-60 reais to enter and that gets you 1 drink. Another 50-60 reais to take a girl out of the club. Then you have to pay the girl 200-300.reais for a few hours.
If you like overpaying then by all means hang out there.

Fkk, About Barberellas,

If you have never been to Barberellas then you need to go at least once in your life if you are going to be in Rio. It's a Boite(night club) near Princess Isabella Blvd where there are other Boites of the same nature, for example Franks Bar and others. Barberellas has always been considered the best, more classy and with the best reputation for girls. I have been in there and have seen dozens of 9's and 10's and I have been in there and saw just many average beautiful women.

Go there, get a table and hang out, watch the show, watch the gogo girls as they are available for take out. Not all the girls take their clothes off and do gogo some just walk around and at times they all get up on the big stage and dance so that everybody can see them, they put themselves on display.

What is interesting about the gogo girls is that you can see them with their clothes off before you make your choice. Its also a different thrill if you live in the states as the gogo girls for the most part are not for takeout unless she likes you of course. Here in Barberellas if you like the gogo girl, invite her to sit with you, buy her a drink and leave with her.

Through the years I have pulled some real beauties out of Barbarellas and had some great sex. And it is all very easy with a much better selection per capita than Help. Even though I enjoy Help very much, I always find a nice one in Help and I enjoy the atmosphere of it having the illusion of being a real dance club. And I remember when Help was a real dance club when it first opened in the early 1980's, I went in their with my friend and the girls were as snobby as Nuth is today, there were no working girls in there well at least I didn't see any. Actually I didn't realize Help was the best disco in the world until I read the WSG archives in 1996 and have been a fan ever since.

RIO - Travessa de Ouvidor 37. Now...its a Boite, iso "4 floors of *****s" !!

Dec 2002 this "edificio" (building) in a pedestrian cobbled street in Centro - "4 floors of *****s" & the other floor was suites for rent.

Previously there were 4 "casa's" in this building & the best was Stylus Massagem on the 3rd floor - where there was about 10 very acceptable Garotas at any given time.
Mongers would take the elevator to the 5th floor & oogle some of the topless Garotas on the walk downstairs.

First visit walked in about 1pm - much impressed with the lineup of perky boob topless young Garotas.

Can you tell me where the ATM machine (which takes cirrus or star) is located in Rio international airport? If I would've known that they had an ATM machine with cirrus or star, I would've used it. I remember that they had Brazillian bank ATM machines (which most of them do not take cirrus nor star), but not ones with Cirrus or Star.

Also, taxi fares would be a bit different depending on your destination. For example, Leblon would be a bit higher than Copacabana due to distance. If traffice is good, sometimes taxi fare would be around R$ 35. I've never seen R$ 30 with a meter (I took the same route about 7 times).

Therma Beach Girls is closed. I walked around on the second floor where it´s suppose to be, looks like it was recently vacated. So late this afternoon, I went back to the Therma Copacabana and took an attractive 26 year old, her ass was a little big but she was cute and eager, I´d rate a 7.5 overall. Good value. just use the atm at the airport! all the atms are the same (for a given system - e.g. star or cirrus).

don't spend more than R30 for a taxi, unless you have privately booked taxi, or unless you realize you are paying a premium for some reason (assuming meter=1 times of day/year).

Wow Charles, those are some great reports!! It is nice to know about the out of the way Thermas/Massagems. Therma Copacabanna, it´s just a few doors down from Blockbuster Video. Thanks for the tip. Walked in at 530pm on a Wednesday, streets full of people, dicey semi-industrial neighbourhood, one side of street is large park.
Get a pass from the security and go up the stairs to 2nd fl.
Entrance R 15 with coke/beer. Loud music, bench round the large boite, about 25 Garotas, mainly Morenas & Mulattas, average age about 25 yrs, grades 7 with a couple of grade 8.

For research purposes, deceided to check on the quality/cleaniness of the rooms, down a narrow corridor.

Enlisted ANDRESSA (24yrs) morena from Petropolis as my sexo guide for 45 mts at a cost of R70. Sexo was above average with a good rapport between us.

Rested in the boite untill about 730pm, down the stairs & the street is now semi-deserted and dark, with a forbidding looking park across the street. Stayed about 20 mts with the guard, untill a taxi finally comes along. Dont think that I will go back.

Another cheapo place at R 30 for 30 mts - same lousy bedrooms etc. But I am doing this for research purposes, so enter the Termas.
8 Garotas, again there are "gems".
I take SARA (24) who is quite friendly in the room with good sexo. A Garota who enjoys her work.
Did not go back, but there were other quality Garotas in this cheapo Termas.

Yeah the tourist tax is annoying, but I just look at is as one entry fee. Reais 20 is not that much so I didn't mind it one bit.

Also the experience there more than made up for the tax surcharge

I found this place to have more English speaking girls than LUOMO or Solarium

I would echo the same sentiments here.
