DFW,
I think you will at the very least pay a guest fee to bring the girl to your hotel room. Marriott, Sofitel, Copacabana Palace, other major chain hotels frown upon the Program Girl 'trade' so if she is dressed slutty they might not let her in. There was a well written report awhile back detailing how one can 'sneak in' a GDP into high end tourist hotels, you should do a search in the forum.

while the procedure of checking in each and every girl may seem uncomfortable or odd at first, please note that it is a very small inconvenience for your very own safety and legality.
what do i say when i check her in? nothing. they know what´s going on, anyway. if i were inclined to say anything, i'd say "i would like to register a guest, please."
she's my gf/friend for the night? why would i say that? none of their business as long as she is of legal age (which they check). plus, they make money off it, anyway. win-win-win.
i can't do escorts in my hotel? i don't see any reason why not.
hotels certainly vary in their level of girl-friendliness. at my hotel, for example, there is a big poster denouncing child prostitution hanging right next to the reception desk, and on a sign over the reception, it says "no guests allowed". considering that it is a meeting point for adventure tour groups and sort of family-oriented, this hotel is not exactly a monger´s den (btw, that is the reason i am somewhat reluctant to post full contact info on a public board like this one). but can you have girls over as long as you do not make a point of rubbing it in everyone´s face and the chicks you take there do not exactly look like *****s out of a snl skit? yes, of course. this is rio, after all, and everyone, everyone knows what´s going on.
also, please note that not all hotels are companion-friendly, especially some of the higher-end ones. as far as i know, the savoy othon travel, for example, doesn't allow girls anymore as a result of some nasty incidents in the past.
so once in a while when i feel like the tln experience, i have no trouble taking girls back to my place, especially later at night. for st, i prefer the love motels, anyway... for a number of reasons.
finally, as others have noted, bringing two girls back to your hotel at the same time might be a problem in many places, even those that are considered girlfriendly. i guess they must have their reasons, and it is not difficult to see why. considering the risk of taking two girls to a place where all of your belongings are, i would strongly recommend to limit your duplas to love motels only. last time i did this at lido (rua ronald de carvalho, not too far from balcony), they charged me r$ 50.00 for two hours. safe fantasies come at a price, my friend... don't go cheap on this.
hope this helps.

You have to very careful about the names of the hotel that you are booked into. There are many, many, many hotels there with 'copacabana' as part of their name. I can recommend Atlantico Copacabana located on Siquiera Campos but Atlantis Copacabana which is located on Rua Bulhões de Carvalho is run down and far from the beach.

It is strange that even an extra charge does not let one bring 2 girls (double rooms are typically large).
If you think, you will bring 2 girls, book a triple room, or, actually, dont bother
staying in this out-dated over-priced hotel.

Posts: 171Real Estate "SCAM" in Rio .... Alert!!
www.ebuybrazil.com
I was just called by someone that found this website and asked me if I had anything to do with it.. "I DO NOT" !!!!
This guy copied all the photos from apartments on my website and he is using them to SCAM people into thinking they are for sale.... NONE OF THE APARTMENTS HE LISTED ARE FOR SALE. He even listed one I just bought as being for sale. News to me.....
I checked the website out with (Whois) and as long as it's public information, I have no problem posting his name..
