So. I'll be in Salvador for only one day. I'm looking for a place where I can get a really decent full body massage with a Happy Ending. Not much more that that. In Fortaleza a lot of them where called Clinicas and some would offer Thailandesa (B2B) too. I would imagine there would be something like that in Salvador? I have heard of Morganas. Decided to check out Boate Eros (on the Orla of Pituba, cross-street Rua Goias) on Tuesday night 24-June-2014. My original intention was to head to Morganas after my morning Portuguese language classes, but I ended up staying at the apartment watching the World Cup soccer matches on TV into the evening instead. I was not even sure if Eros would be open because the next day (25-June) was a major Northeastern Brazilian holiday called Sao Joao and festivities generally start the evening before. Additionally, I had had mixed experiences with Eros in the past, so my expectations were not particularly high. However, when I arrived at Eros shortly before 11:30 pm, the place was active. Entrance was R60. I was pleasantly surprised to find a slender ebony GP with a sculpted biki body dancing next to the bar. I say surprised because both the number of GPs of African descent and the number of physically fit GPs in these upper-end clubs have always seemed to me to be disproportionately low. In any case, she introduced herself as Jaqueline. I saw several other guys making passes at her at the time. However, as she told me later, she was uncomfortable with them because she thought that they were either low-balling her and / or possibly using drugs. Apparently, one of them had tried to offer her R400 for the whole night. She told me that that R400 was reasonable for several hours but not for a whole night. The whole night should be more like R800. I discovered that she is originally from the interior of Bahia and that she has an extremely affectionate personality. I bought some drinks for us, and she made out with me there in the club and danced for / on me (I think at least partially to show the other GPs, whom she did not particularly like, that she had picked up). We are staying in Rio Vermelho and I have read it's the best place to be. Traffic is a be* so taxi will be expensive and the new reports haven't been great unless you know your Portuguese. Maybe I can find a few hours by myself and check things other user have recommended out.

Somehow I have felt salvador is better than Rio. Rio is more commercial and you can monger each time with a different one. In Salvador try mongering with same and see the result.

I am disappointed to hear of how the scene is Salvador has declined in recent years. Salvador was the first city in Brazil in which I mongered in 1998. I had good success with Acompanhantes ads in the local papers. I returned several times while the exchange rate was great. My last trip to Salvador was in 2006 during the WC. There was decent action in the large number of strip clubs at that time. I was disappointed to see unfinished construction projects such as the metro.

I am hoping to make a trip this fall. I can't believe that P4 P has really gone away. The economy in Brazil has fallen off in the past year and their central bank is keeping interest rates high to avoid a free fall in the currency exchange rate. Lots of women are hurting financially and should be willing to trade sex for some cash. My suspicion (and hope) is that they are just being more discreet due to the WC and the Olympics.

Learning some Portuguese as sperto feels it will be tough for a 1st timer like me to get by without knowing any.

Finally got through to gpguia and even after google translate it is not easy to follow since lot of slang is used.

I hope there is a smoother way to get action there mates!

Also I am visiting for the 1st time to Brazil and don't know Portuguese nor Spanish at all.

If these is just 1 place I should go would you say it would be Morganas.

I suppose finding independents who do in calls would be very difficult.

Rio Vermelho is propably among the best places to stay in Salvador. Many bars, restaurants and small clubs. I went there last night. Very enjoyable. In Rio Vermelho your options are mainly non-pro's, but for sure there must be some pro's as well. Otherwise you have the orla towards Pituba with several strip clubs. I don't frequent those as I find them to be rip-offs, but you might enjoy them.

First time in Brazil and no Portuguese, Morganas might be a bit harsh as a first privê. Still I think you should try it, there is nothing to loose.

On the local forum, Gpguia, there are lots of reviews of escorts. Maybe a bit pricy, but might be a good alternative for you.

* Barra: Same thing, also dead.
* The Orla: I don´t monger in the Orla but there are a bunch of overpriced stripclubs.

NON-PRO´S.
The mongering scene in Salvador is very bad compared to how it used to be. However in Salvador you´ll see lots of stunners, non-pro girls. Both dark chocolate and light-skinned girls. It takes some work and preferably language skills but it´s worth it. Try the beaches, shopping centers, restaurants, bars or the streets.

I honestly didn't really look into the scene when I put in for the lottery. I have never been to Salvador and figured this was a good chance, and a higher chance of getting tickets. Now I am rethinking. My new plan is to wait for the draw, and likely try to get somewhere else towards the end of the trip. Maybe Rio, but I was also considering BH, Recife, or Fortaleza. Don't really want to hit SP or Brasilia as I figure I am in Brazil, why not have access to a beach.

Gotcha. Well BH has no beach either, but I think / hope it will be a good place for the tournament atmosphere.

Did you get tix to any other locales? I plan to be in BH.

You can see my reports from salvador jan 2013. Not sure how copa will affect p4p scene, it was weak to begin with. I would focus on enjoying the football atmosphere. If you go to barra plan to stay in barra, getting in and out sucks. I personally would probably shoot for Rio Vermelho as a base.
