Typically for me a stay in Sao Paulo means any where from 2 to 5 hours, in the form of a stop over in the airport, on my way to Rio or some other Brazilian city. So finally I am able to make actual stay in SP for a couple of days to check things out. I spent two (2) days in SP in mid-December and two (2) days in mid-April just before for the flight back home.

I think I have partially been afraid to stay in SP due to the sheer size and enormity of the city and population. Not to mention the crime scene. However, I am happy to report that this was not the case. Even at 2:00am in the morning I was walking around alone close to Prca. Republica, Rua Augusta, SP Hilton, Kilt and Love Story areas, with no problems at all. But one should always walk around/take taxis, according their own comfort level.

One thing that I was amazed at was the amount of sex video stores, sex shops and sex theaters to be found in centro. Quite the dizzying area of venues.

Decided to try a number of the sex theaters, don’t really remember the names of the ones I found to be the best, but YMMV. Most charge you about R$5 to enter and have bars and girls and sex cinema for the viewing. Most of the girls will try to hit-you-up for drink, as they get a kick-back and in some places you most pay between R$20-R$40 for a specially drink, which then gives you the privilege to take a gal of your choice to a dark “groping” room or private cabin (if a price for sex is pre-arranged). I simply wanted a lots of afternoon groping and fingering and manage to get a fair amount of grouping for my R$25/drink, but in no time all many of the girls would be asking for you to buy them another drink if you wanted to continue groping. This sucked!! It became annoying in many places and soon after I would just exit and go somewhere else. It was just becoming too expensive for midday and early evening mongering, not too mention the quality of the girls wasn’t really worth it.

I did manage to find a couple of cheaper sex/bar theaters were a tall/large bottle of beer for R$12, would get me ample “groping” and kissing for the money. Only problem was the quality wasn’t great for the most part, but I did mange to find a decent morena (with a good attitude) to get drunk and wild with for a few hours. As it turned out, I manage to convince her into coming back to my hotel (the Mecure, Rua Araujo, R$130/day) for TLN for $120, after she got off work. She turned out to be a great GFE, lots of BBBJs, with several sessions during the night/morning (8:00am departure).

Most of the sex scene revolves around Ipiranga (as posted here before). It is important to note that some of these sex theaters actually serve to a gay audience as well, so be careful when wondering in and out of some of these areas in the theaters, as you may get some strange looks from other guys glancing towards your crotch.

The infamous “8-story sex buildings”. Well after a great deal of walking I mange to find one on Rua dos Andrades (R$10 for 10min.) and another on #134 Al. Br. De Limeira (R$15 for 10min.), both are situated just off Av. Ipiranga. I was looking to get some afternoon BBBJs, but oddly enough, none would give a BBBJ. I did find one older woman (nice enough face, but a little pudgy for my tastes), who said she would give a BBBJ, but I decide to pass. True enough, there can be some gems to be found, but it requires you to run “the ugly 8-story gauntlet” first. If you do find a nice “honey” then sex for R$10-15 is not bad (or whatever you negotiate with them).

All-in-all the “8-story sex buildings” experience was disappointing. At first I thought what a great place for afternoon pussy, but after getting turned down for a BBBJ and not finding enough quality pussy, I got tired of looking. Especially when compared to the quality that can be found in the “converted-motels 2&3 story sex buildings” in Belo Horizonte, SP pails in comparison. Still I like the idea…just hope there are better places for this kind of action in SP, then the two I found.

During the night, I would checkout the SWs along Rua Augusta and some of the bar scene around Rua Ipiranga. The SWs seem to be notably better looking than Rio, but also somewhat more harden. Prices seem fair from what I remember (R$50/half-hr or R$100/hr). I never ventured into the many strip clubs/bars around Rua Augusta, due to the fact I wasn’t interested at the time and the fact I thought they would be all just a con to get me to buy expensive drinks (for ugly/fat women) once inside. Maybe I’ll try next time!

I did get a chance to check out Bomboa in mid-December and again in mid-April. The first time I was very, very impressed with the quality of gals, but not the second time (maybe an off night). Entrance fee of about R$130 was the same both times, but all the girls were asking R$200 a session (April 2005), where as in December 2004, you could negotiate with them. I do remember this “Celine Dione” look-a-like that I wanted to fuck, but she was snapped-up rather quickly as she became available. Ahhh! All-in-all I thought the quality and club was decent and I had a decent time, but IMHO there is better value to be had, with the same quality of girls, at the termas (like 4X4) in Rio.

Love Story (the SP version of Help in Rio), was more my idea of mongering. I hooked up with Ecanto (from WSG, mid Dec 2004) and we enjoyed several beers together, dances with several of the girls and swapped notes on various other cities and places to practice mongering. Very enjoyable, thanks Ecanto and hopefully we can hookup again sometime.

The quality at LS was decent that night (mid Dec 2004), although many of the girls were asking between R$250-350 for TLN (or until you cum, which ever came first, which usually meant 1 to 1.5 hours, because it was usually 5, 6, 7am or later in the morning, when you left with a gal). I managed to hookup with a brunette, with a great body in a nice tight form fitting black dress, by the name Claudia. Much like the Help girls, if you wait long enough, the girls at Love Story will drop their prices. Claudia turned out to be a great fuck. Total GFE, lots of DATY, DFK and BBBJs. No anal although rimming was allowed. At about 8:00am in the morning at LS, we agreed on R$100 for 1 hour, but the sex was so good, I could help but tip another R$50. From her demeanor and attitude I believe she was a semi-pro and only occasionally goes to LS.

Briefly, had a chance to look around (got the “3 minute tour”) at some of the boites like Kilt, Cocktail, Big Ben and was very impressed with the girls, but not some the fees that were charged for entrance and drinks. Maybe next time with more time and sleep, I shall investigate.

SP although somewhat expensive, I had a good time and is worth another visit and with more time (and sleep) I hope to get a better feel for the city that I think has a lot to offer.

The GPGUIA.NET site is up and operating. It is clear that the Bebe's prices are all over the place. Recently, guys have been paying 200-250 BR sometimes with anal and sometimes without.

Does anyone here know whether the Bomboa band(s) music falls into a particular category of samba and, if so, can you recommend any artists/albums that have similar sound. I particularly love the strong sound of the ukelele like guitar that was used by both bands. It is regional music from the North of Brazil. The most famous venue for Forro' is the Pirata club in Forteleza. Because I went to Forteleza on the same trip I remember that I thought the Bomboa band was better than anything I heard in Forteleza. Musicians improve if they are playing a steady regular gig. Of course, given the two year time in between when you and I were there, it does not mean you were listening to Forro'.
