This fun was had in mid December and I am just now getting around to typing up the trip report.

Day 1:

Arrive in Riberao Preto at the Araucaria Plaza Hotel. Review the “Fholde do Sao Paulo” Riberao Section for accompanantes.

Arrive at the Araucaria Plaza Hotel. Shower, shave, and pick up the local Fohlda do Sao Paolo newspaper. Checkout the classified section for accomanantes in the Ribeirao section. Eureka there is at least 25.

I stayed at the Ibis during MaceioFest a couple years ago and enjoyed it very much. Only brought one gal back there; had no problem doing so, just the usual registration... I don't recall any extra fees but could be mistaken. [The young guy behind the counter seemed wide-eyed & shocked, which I found humorous, so an older guy gently moved him aside and helped us get the paperwork completed.]

Also rented a car from a guy who was recommended at the Ibis desk. The price was right. He brought the car to me and met me back at the hotel a few days later. I was miffed on the return because he was late and I was afraid I would miss my bus; but he then kindly drove me out to the bus station (no extra charge) and I enjoyed the conversation with him en route so I got my bus and all was well. You can drive south from Maceio to visit Praia Frances (accommodations, food) and Praia Gunga (fabulously beautiful, highly recommended) although I didn't observe any obvious mongering opportunities at either.

MaceioFest was lots of fun but confused the mongering scene for me.

I was in Jericoacoara, but only tourists, there.

Many tourists last September, too. Nevertheless I got laid with a girl who was working in one of the many little shops/bars (won't specify). To be more specific about Lampiao's, it is a night club that serves food and drinks on the beach road of Ponta Verde. They have an elaborate musical show with singers and dancers that primarily evolves around the Forro type of music that is indigenous in Maceio. The show itself is fairly good entertainment and worthwhile seeing.

I only wrote about what I had observed, but the putanheiros on GP Guia write about the 209 Urugaeai Club, Cocktails, and a new place Beco's in the downtown area. The best of the clubs seems to be 209 Urugaeai. They also mention GP's in the Priaia Pajucaru area and of course as throughtout Brasil the classified section of the local paper advertises for accomphantes. The most helpful people as far as getting local information are the taxi drivers. As I mentioned I did not try these other sources, as I was already accompanied, so chose carefully.

Also, about a year ago someone posted that there was a "forro/lampiao" bar north of Maceio, two miles north of Ponte Verde Beach, that has "working girls". Does anyone have any specific info on this, such as the name of the bar, and address or neighborhood, and if it still has working girls?
