1 - I used the word "ficha" for the girl's drink. Usually for the cost of the drink (ficha), the girl gets a percentage of that money. In some places, especially Santiago, it allows the girl to sit next to you and you can get to know her better before you decide have sex. Some buy fichas just for company, or in my case, to gather information about the club.

Thus, you are correct; it's the cost of drink for the girl to sit with you at a table. Some girls will drink slow, while others finish their drink in a few minutes. In Santiago, in the clubs / cafes, no drink; conversation ends quickly.

2 - In Bellas Artes, I did not think the girls in the strip clubs significantly better than the level 3 cafes? First off, I decided to mix the trip with mongering and meeting up with civvies. Well, a lot of that did not work out. I wasn't feeling my best the entire trip as well.

Logistics:

Flight:

I flew AA round trip from San Diego for $1500 and some change. 3 hours to Dallas and another 9 hours to Santiago.

Logging:

I rented a 2-bedroom apartment in a good location, in Bellas Artes. I rented through Airbnb. I paid 80 bucks a night. The place was rather small, but it suited my basic needs.

Money:

The currency in Chile is pesos. The rate was about 1 US dollar to 673 pesos. I just figured that 1000 pesos was $1. 50,10,000 was $15.00 and so forth. I cashed in $100 US at the airport and got a shitty rate of 641 to 1. No passport needed.

But in the city, on Agustinas, between Bandera & Morande, there were several camibo places with different rates. I found a couple that had 670 to 1 rate; so I cashed in there. No passport needed.

I brought almost new $50 notes, but two were marked by a pen. Those notes were declined, but the place next door took the bills.

Duty Free:

There was a Duty Free at the airport, but I did not have to use the service.

Communication:

I have the T-Mobile North American plan. My plan gave me unlimited data at 2 G speed, calls at 20 cents per minute and free texts. Thus, I started using WhatsApp on my regular phone. I started chatting with my Airbnb host before I left. As long as I had a WiFi signal, WhatsApp was free of charge. I was chatting on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Skype; including video calls for no charge whatsoever.

Transportation:

From the airport, I used a regular taxi; 20 K pesos. Because I was leaving Christmas night, I tried to arrange advance transportation, but no one seem to have drivers available. This made me a tad nervous, but I remember reading a TR that stated Uber was in Santiago. Yes, the power of TRs!

So I brought up Uber on my phone, and low and behold, there were some drivers in my area. The driver I had was nervous about being discovered at the airport. When he let me off, we hugged each other like we were best friends. The cost was about half of a regular taxi. And hell, I got a free hug to boot!

Spanish school:

I attended Escuela Newen for two classes a day, Monday through Friday, for one week. I paid for 10 classes, which came out to be just over 17 US per class. Escuela Newen also took my Visa card for the payment.

Food:

The food was good, but could not hold a candle to Lima. I ate and drank at a butt-load of restaurants:

The Women:

Because the trip was to focus on Spanish, I contacted a few women on Latin American Cupid. The ones I contacted had no English speaking skills. This does take time and a lot of effort. Once you buy the second drink, sex is offered and prices varied in the cafes. But, 40 K seemed to be the going price at most of the places. Here is one of my experience at #26 no name caf. Then the next day near a big shopping mall there are some escalators and during the busy times you will see people form a very straight line waiting to get on the escalators. This isn't something normally seen in the world. And to mention, as of now, Chile is the only Country in Central or South America that is on the US visa waiver program. So if you meet you a hottie in Chile, you can bring her to the US very easy. I think Argentina might be added to the US Visa waiver list next year.

On Enirque Mac Iver street there are at least 5 or 6 adult clubs. But I didn't go in them. What I did do, and found by accident were the "cafe con piernas" Cafe with legs. Note, you go in, and tell the cashier what you want, and you pay the cashier, and they will give you a receipt. You give this receipt to the lady of your choice and she will get your drink for you. OK, what they are doing in these cafes are definitely not legal, I see them lock doors or watch out and they have look outs in the mall. So I won't give a name of the cafes. I will tell you where to find them. There are so many I could not go in them all.

I found 3 types. One is just a normal place that has good looking women wearing type short skirts. Nothing special. I went to one and it was a non-busy time. One has sex, one of them might, but didn't offer because it was too damn crowded. If I went earlier in the day maybe it would not be busy. Most of these places close at 8 PM, some might stay open til 9 PM.

Now walk through the shopping malls to the East and North of there. The shopping centers to next to Plaza De Armas has these cafes. As a bonus tip, one of the pharmacies very close to Plaza de Armas might sell you extras, while almost every other pharmacy won't. Walk up and down Enrique Mac Iver. You will see lots of adult clubs, and the love hotel that I used was near a group of them. Some of the previous escort sites still work, but I didn't try them. Walking around and exploring the city looking for those "cafes" was fun. The famous Cafe Con Piernas like Haiti or Cafe Caribe do not have anything sexual going on, they also don't have blacked-out windows and are off of major walkways. I had fun walking in to these places to see what would happen, and it was cheap for an espresso. Remember, it's you go to the cashier, order your drink, they give you a receipt, and you walk around and choose the girl that you want to be with, and you give her your receipt. In my first Cafe I had all of the girls asking me for my receipt and I had no idea what was going on. Expect 10-12 girls in a cafe, except one of them only had one. That place was more hidden also, you had to go in the shopping center, walk around, then you walk downstairs. That shopping center had 2 cafes, I only went in one of them.

Also, Uber works pretty good in Santiago, but I found myself using the metro, it was kind of fun seeing who was going to be in the train with you. You can actually use Uber at the airport, you just need to exit the airport, and go to the hotel right in front of the airport. The Uber guy will find you there, but the Uber guy said on the weekdays the police will try to stop them. On the weekends there aren't cops trying to stop them from picking people up. Uber from the airport to near the Costanera Center was about $18 US. When I went to the airport Uber charged me surge pricing. Going to the airport was about $23. If you want to be really cheap you could use a combo of the metro and taxi or Uber and buses if you want to figure that out.

Although had only one night stay in Santiago, doing the homework before getting there paid out the dividends. My hotel was not GF so bringing any goodies or having anyone visit my hotel was out of question. Before arrival in Santiago, I had contacted several text message friendly girls from Santiago that I came across on either estokada, relaxchile and related websites. Once arrived in Santiago, just texted the girls I had on the list and was able to meet 2 out of 3 in the same night. Thanks to recent posters for posting items with actionable intel. That's what really counts here.

For this trip Lima was the "fun" place and Santiago was the business place. I took Sky Airline on the Lima-Santiago one-way at $89 all-in. They were almost 2 hours late, but once they got going it was a tolerable version of Spirit Airlines in the USA Unlike Spirit, they did have a free baggage allowance (1 bag), but otherwose it was A319's, cramped seating and charging (in CLP) for food / drinks.

Most time was either doing business or at the Persa Bio-Bio on a Sunday, but I did have a loose hour or two for more cafes con piernas on Monday and Tuesday. Did a quick once-over in the Franklin / San Diego area on a Monday afternoon but not too much was happening. Club Eros had a cute girl I did two dances with. They hire Chilenas, who tend to be more reserved than other nationalities (certainly vs. The. Are. S) but are sometimes kinda cuts. I had done more thorough reviews of that area earlier.

Going around the east side of downtown on Tuesday afternoon, there's an arcade at the corner of San Antonio and Monijitas with a couple of dark-window cafes. Cafe Fiera has the standard bit (CLP 1. 5 K-2 K for coffee, 2 K per drink for girl's drinks). A curvier, more filled out girl from Peru also had a 10 K oral upsell. I didn't have the exact change and was taken a bit by surprise so I didn't take it. But maybe slightly rauncher than the usually bikinied place.

There's also Cafe Gazu near Merced & Huerfanos, with 1. 5 K coffee and 2 K / song "drinks", but they don't even bother with the shot glass and soda water (so you don't get the visual on how fast the girl can gulp down the drink). It works out to 1 per song, so it'd be like a club in the USA That offered $3 lap dances where you could touch the dancer and not get bothered by the bouncer 99% of the time. And the girl takes off more or it gets hotter with successive drinks, though YMMV. Such a business would do a lot of volume in the USA, you could bet.

But even at $3 a pop it can add up, so I usually didn't stay engaged long. It's not the same as the mensaje places or getting one delivered to your room or even finding one that's TLN-worthy, I know, but it's a lot more interesting than Starbucks and I'd gotten my fill in Peru, anyway.
