This is my first report. please bear with me if I don't get the terminology correct.

I ended up not getting too much time to check out Santiago as work got a little hectic. I traveled to Chile for a week, but I spent most of my time there in San Fernando about 2 hours south of Santiago...

I was in Santiago all day Saturday April 1st. I stayed in Providencia. LaFayette Hotel. Got a decent suite for about $50.

I picked up "El Mercurio" and called 3 different places in Providencia. I liked the girl on the phone, so I decided to go check it out. I was about 7-8 blocks walking distance from the hotel on 11 de Septiembre Av.

Get to the place and the chick from the phone was a 7/10. I asked her if there were other girls she said one more. I called her out and this other chick was a little taller and an 8 in my book. Subway is great in santiago and in Viña del Mar.
In Viña del Mar, Bus #1 takes you almost everywhere, ask for "La Uno" and get of in Errazuris in Valparaiso. That´s where you want to go for party, chicas and night life...
In Santiago take the subway to the closest point and then taxi, look for the 150/70 (thats 150 pesos to jump in, and 70 for every 200mts/600ft

If you go to Viña del Mar, you must go to ConCon and eat seafood. Its about 30 minutes North of Viña. Never eat raw sea food, always coocked. If you are in viña del Mar, stay away from the center, and look for a few "Pensiones" like Hostals. They are used to crazy gringos bringing some putas to the hotel room (I did)

No, Wet, you did the math right.

Since this board has been dead for a while, it's probably worth reminding mongers of the other options in Santiago.

On Suecia, semi-pro (probably more pro than semi-) arrive on the scene after midnight. A higher percentage of the girls there are working than you would imagine, as the area is somewhat out of favor for legitimate girls to have fun. Something to do with sporadic shootings.

Just some general notes on Santiago.

If you're just looking for a place to monger Santiago has to be low on the list. There are some beautiful chicas around here, but in my opinion most of what is available on the street and in the clubs is mediocre at best and/or very expensive. I've been coming here for about 10 years, and now live in Las Condes and have a full-time girlfriend, so don't participate as much as I used to, but from the bit of running around I do when friends are in town it's obvious that nothing has changed over the years.

The best web site is www.relaxchile.cl - pretty much everything's there that can be found on the others. Here, as with the clubs and to some extent the street scene, many of the girls are from surrounding countries.

Unless you're into some serious sleeze stay away from anything towards Centro. The better locations tend to be in the upper end of Providencia and into Las Condes.

The most concentrated bar/club scene is on Suecia just off the corner of Providencia. Nothing much starts until after 10-11 at night. The best places are along Vitacura in Las Condes - Lucas has a place there, and the best ones are the Platinum Club and the Champagne Club. The rooms are all suites (small by North American standards, but pretty typical for here), exceptionally clean and very well maintained, the street's nice and quiet, they're chica-friendly and were always very accommodating with early morning arrivals and late night departures, something I always appreciated given the arrival and departure times of most of the North American flights. There are also lots of small local hotels that are in the $US60-100 range in the Providencia/Bosque Norte area - search the net.
