i figured after doc’s post i needed to offer something substantial. so, a rather benign report to follow along with some/all of the current “sauna” postings in the mercurio.

as this was my first of a handful of 2-day trips into santiago, i spent considerable time with a colleague in deep research. mainly, we spent time downtown (in the day) and in the suecio district (at night).

in general, i agree with the notion that santiago is definitely not suitable as a dedicated mongering destination. there are better options for this, alluded to quite often in this forum. however, if you find yourself here on other business or for a multi-faceted vacation (wine, city touring, white-water rafting or snow skiing), there are some enjoyable in-hobby experiences to be had.

so, we tried just about every commercial establishment mentioned by other posters. the big exception is club pussycat. does that still exist?? nobody could help us. we walked and walked up and down san antonio, mac- ivor, mira flores, and along the perpendicular streets. we asked concierges, taxi drivers, and the men luring customers into similar establishments. no luck. could bug or someone provide an address or detailed cross streets??

so, we started with a café con piernas. turned out to be the most pleasant experience of the trip, as we met an attractive young, outgoing and enthusiastic girl with a very nice body. when i went back to see her the next day, she brought a small reference dictionary to give to me as a present! unreal. she gave me her phone number and email address and said she would love to hang out and show me the city next visit.

the semi-pro (more pro than semi-) in the suecio district seemed fun. we were stuck with a couple of female colleagues, so our enjoyment was limited to five-minute field trips around the square, but i thought the girls were as attractive as ones in the strip joints. years ago, we all had good experiences with these girls.

i didn’t try the escort services. there has been a lot on them here, anyway.

Well fellas, here is my review of Santiago. Got a slow start because getting information on the place is like pulling teeth. Posted asking if anyone knew anything recent and got no responses. Most of the info out there on Santiago consists of 2-3 sentence commentaries with little location, and cost info. My aim with this review is to provide a sort of comprehensive guide that I did not have going in.

A little background:

The women, they tend to a little more conservative than the women in Argentina, and although I have not yet been, I am sure they are more conservative than the brasilias. My assessment is that Santiago is a city much like Montreal in that if you are going to go anyway there is a scene, and beautiful women can be found but I would hardly go there for the express purpose of mongering. By and large in my assessment, the women in Chile while often times good looking are not good looking in the sheer numbers I have seen in BA, or even Montreal for that matter, you wont find scantily clad Chilenas walking the streets or in the clubs partying as you do in BA. Where in Montreal or BA 7 out of every 10 women you see on the street is an 8 or better, in chile, its more like 2 out of every 10. The women will generally not approach you first in regular clubs, they will smile, and grin waiting for you to come over to them, which once you do you will generally find them friendly. I watched this younger american work his way up to this one chica in a group of 3, and within 2 hours they where heading towards the door, coat in hand and her friends where still in the club.

Things to do, well I spent most of my time dancing when I was not working or scouting cooz. One can spend a lot of money in this place. You will find for instance that drinks at a normal bar cost 1000-6000 CHP (Chilean Pesos) however at a strip club that same drink is going to cost at least 8000, or better, and you will find the drinks for the ladies range from 12000 CHP and up.

Getting there: I got there via Atlanta on Delta. Upon getting to the country you will have to pay a one time immigrations fee. All the signs repeat over and over it is a reciprocity fee. I guess this is the Chileans way of letting the US know they dont appreciate the immigration fee their citizens pay. The fee can be paid via cash or credit card. I paid mine via AMEX. The fee is 100.00 USD. There is one line to pay the fee, and then another for the actual immigrations process. Canada and a few other countries have to pay it as well but it is less for them.

Hotels: I stayed at the Sheraton San Cristobal, also just known to the cabbies as the Sheraton. It is one of their luxury collection hotels, with a butler and everything. In the week I was here I was only asked to sign in a girl once, when we came in at 4am in the morning, the other times we just strolled in. Very nice hotel. Wireless Internet throughout. Decent room service menu. Has 2 restaurants and a huge bar. It is actually 2 hotels much like the one in BA, there is the Sheraton, and then there is the tower. I stayed in the tower. The rate was 168.00 USD/night (this rate included free breakfast on the 21st floor every morning). The Sheraton Four points is in Suecia and its rate was 99.00 USD/night but I did not choose it as the Four points hotels tend to have fewer amenities. Only has a 2-3 english speaking channels and no pay per view so be sure to bring your laptop and DVDs. Suecia is a 20 minute walk from The San Cristobal.

Money/ATMs: A note here, the atms and banking system in Chile require an extra step for using a non-chilean bank. After you key your pin, look down and to the left and you will see "foriegn client" you need to hit that button on any machine before trying to withdraw money or the transaction will fail.

Taxis: Almost anywhere in the city will run you no more than 5000 CHP which amounts to 8.30 USD, the average however is 2000 CHP. Stick with the black and Yellow cabs.

Cafe with legs: This is something I have never seen anywhere else. If one was to export this to the states you could put starbucks out of business. Basically its a coffee bar, with very scantily clad young ladies...fellas Im talk g-strings and pasties in some places. Now it varies by club, and there are many of them in and around Santiago. Most seemed to be concentrated in the area around Huerfanos, Mac Iver, and Miraflores streets. In fact I ended up my last night seeing a younger Chica who I had met at one of these working the pole at the Lucas bar in Suecia (there are actually at least 2 of these) Funny, when I saw her I could not figure out where I had seen her before, and it dawned on me my last morning that she was one of a few who was very interested in whether I had a Novia. The ones I went to and enjoyed where Dingos, and Baron Rojos, but there are many others. A coffee here runs about 900 CHP, and there is no admission. It works like this...you buy a ticket when you walk in for the kind of coffee you want walk up to the little bar area and hand it to a girl. She in turn brings you a class of Aqua con gas, and your coffee, and then hangs out to chit chat. No tips necessary but I did. I heard before I went down you could get these girls after work and based on my sighting I think its possible. You just have to figure out which ones work outside of the club. These places seem to be closed by 10pm

Mainstream Clubs:

Crazy Club - This place is pretty decent, its a regular club, lots of locals affordable drinks. It gets pretty crowded I danced til my feet hurt with this Chica I met at a club...I will get to that later. This club is over near Santa Filomena street, near a decent, and cheap restaurant for seafood called "Calamar"

Fabio Rossi: While I didnt go to this place, everything I heard said it was a major meat market.

The Green Bull: This place is in Suecia, while I was roaming I happened to meet up with a fellow from South Africa who spoke perfect english so I hung out with him and a couple of his friends for a while. We went here because he said it was all semipros, ie the club does not charge a salida because it is a genuine club and the girls there are workin girls who will leave given the opportunity. I didnt find it to be this, and maybe it was the fact that my communication was hampered by the music. My spanish is no muy bien, and the loud ass music didnt do me any favors despite having gotten more than a few smiles and having several dance partners. Funny..when I walked by the club earlier in the night one of the touts said to me..."come on in, sex, drugs, and rock and roll we have it all in here" Didnt cost anything to get in.

The Cuban club: Liked this place a lot, despite there being no cubans whatsover in the club except MAYBE the band. Lotsa chicas here, grab one and start dancing is the order of the day. Again affordable drinks, plenty of light too. Did not cost anything to get in.

Suecia Clubs in general: There have to be upwards of 30 clubs in this area of town, it consists of a handful of streets, and the party here runs from 8pm to 5am most nights. There are also several restaurants in the area. Such as the "Lousiana", the "Charleston". A very good brazilian beef place as well. In addition there are also probably 10 strip clubs or so in the area. Now in Chile, there are no clubs I saw that takeout is not available, the question is the cost.

Internet Escorts in Chile: I did not bother trying the Internet escorts for several reasons. One I noticed that they all had they faces obscured, which lends itself to bait and switch. Two, Few if any speak english and while its one thing to muddle your way through a conversation in person where you can use hands and facial expressions to help in the communication its something else to try to do that over the phone. three, frankly, and surprisingly there are few online agencies to speak of in Chile (Which is odd for the size of the city), and when I say few online, the agency that has 1-3 models is to me not even an agency. Nonetheless I have put together the list I looked at, maybe it helps someone out, after looking at these sites I chose to hunt the clubs.

Strip clubs: All of them have take out, now there are a few things one much watch, in particular I noticed that at the Suecia clubs they charge a "servicio" ie the waiters automajically add their tips into your bill to the tune of 10% of the bill. another thing is that many of the clubs like to run a tab, rather than pay as you go. This is dangerous, especially if you plan to buy any chicas drinks. If you smoke, keep the pack in your pocket as these women will one by one come over and ask for a cigarette even if you are with a girl, and they will in fact continue to come back over and over again. They do know how to bring out the asshole in you. I read something the other day and its true...the farther you get into these expeditions during a given timeframe the less tolerant you become. Word of advice, if you buy a chica a drink and its gone in 30 seconds, dont buy anymore, no matter how cute, get her the hell out of there because if not she will bleed you, and bleed you fast. Also, the chicas have a strategy, they come sit down, and start small-talking...this is leading to something, a request for a drink. Black & White: This club is in the area of Miraflores, and I had a rather interesting experience. First thing I noticed is that all of these women will start kissing once they are seated for any length of time. If you are a good kisser you are off to a good start. My first night here I go in, order my drinks and immediately the buzzards are circling. Now this club seemed at least the night I was there to have a lot of older women (Maduras) they outnumbered the spring chickens 2 to 1. The good news is that there where on this wed night some 50 or so women there. The one I got was named Andrea. It was her first night there are so she says, I am inclined however to believe it for a few reasons, one of which was the fact that she unlike all the other chicas there had on what passed for street clothes, and got talked to a few times by the waiters for not knowing the policies of the club. Finally I had to tell the operator to tell her I checked out, it got just that annoying. This club is also in the area of Miraflores and Huerfanos. On the way out after looking for Carolina the bellman pulled me a aside to the building next door to show me that he had 3 Chicas working upstairs and told me not to mention it to the hotel, I didnt check it out though, was in a sour mood on account of missing the one I wanted. Another thing is the whole walk into a room fishbowl 15 minute fuck and suck is just not my bag of tricks, For me the thrill is in the hunt, I like to romance even my *****s, and would have a hard time enjoying a fast foodish, walk up cum dumpster.

Lucas Bar: Now this is the larger of the 2 Lucas bars I went to, the other is in Suecia, and this one had some 50 or more chicas while the other one had maybe 15. What you have to watch is the chicas who will get the waiters involved in the negotiations, because if they do, you are screwed. Same rules apply on the salida and they also have rooms for rent, I think the guy said 50k CHP for an hour but I didnt bother. This place had a couple of brazilians otherwise all Chilenas. No entrance fee. Its like our mainstream clubs in quality, with extras. This club gets their 49000 CHP, either because you paid the Salida, or got one of their lil rooms/booths.

Unknown name (I dont recall the name): This place is in Suecia between the dominican club and the coyote. I mention it because of the following. One you will get ripped off with a 10% servicio, and 12000 CHP juices for the girls in the smallest glasses I saw while in Santiago. No entrance, but they get you on the back end, 8 dancers or so.

Lucas Bar Suecia: Here I ran into a fresh faced chica with a cute smile and a really interesting look. Cant put my fingers on it other to say she looked more like a brasilia than a Chilena in all ways, including the good culo which can be tough to find in chile. Was not interested in bargaing, paid the 50k CHP salida, paid her 80k for a few hours and hit the hotel. This 25 yo may very well have been the best fuck in my 30 some odd years. You'll find clubs where you can get into the "privado", to take the girl to your place it's very hard (to pay for).

About SW, most locations are found near downtown, Vicuna Mackenna ave. and by suecia st by late night. Quality is very poor.

You have in compensation, a lot of topless caffes, this is very popular in Santiago, and the classics are Cafe Caribe and Cafe Hayti, both with branchs in downtown. You can always tip a girl and invite her to your place, but never before her shift is over.

I was in Santiago last year and stayed at the San Cristobal Towers. It is a very nice hotel and I did not have any problems bringing girls to my room or having them come up by themselves. The price is a little high $160, but it is a good hotel. You should call the hotel directly before you book as Expedia has this hotel listed at $300+ a night.

I tried several of the women on Sexo.cl with pretty good results. Unfortunately most of the best girls travel and charge accordingly. I had one quote $200 for an hour when others were $100 or less. Her pictures were nice, but not that nice.

During the day you can either go to the ski resorts or the beach from the hotel. It takes about 1.5 hours either way. Location is great, 5 blocks from Suecia, plenty SW all over the place. You shouldnt have a problem with the chicas at the hotel, though it is a small place.

Well I am taking days of for R&R not just girls alone. Most definitly that is top on the list.

I have been to Rio and spend 2 weeks there (Copacabana beach) so don't want to go back there.

Ideally I would have flown directly to BA but Delta has no flights and I am cashing out some FF miles. The closes to BA they can get me is Santiago so thought I'll check out the action.

I would definitl love to bang at least one native chick from Chile, but it its going to be 200+ forget about it.

I think I am just going to take a 3 day stop over in Santiago.

Dickhead is right. Santiago and Buenos Aires are like night and day if you're looking for girls. Not sure if you only go on vacation for girls. If so then avoid Santiago and just go to Buenos Aires and Rio. If you are going to hit two cities then why not visit Rio as well. You've already been there from the sounds of it so you know what it's like.

As I posted, I thought the food overall was very poor in Santiago compared to Buenos Aires. Santiago is clean and a nice city but nothing spectacular. I did like Vina del Mar. Chile is not a cheap destination when comparing other places in South America I've been to.

Personally, I'll probably visit Chile again some day but I won't rush back.

JavMav is right. BA is top tier and so is Rio. In fact, I'd say the sex scene is higher in Rio but I happen to like Buenos Aires better as a city.
