I will be traveling to Santigo in early January and wanted to know what is a good upscale hotel and a good mid price hotel, business first then pleasure.

Also, what are the best current places to go, 2 years ago I went to a place called the American Bar, 10 minutes from downtown, it was great.

Finale help would be to recommedn the current places that have English speaking hosts, I only speak english.

Most upscale hotels will allow guests provided they register. I just returned a few days ago from SCL. Was in Crowne Plaza (a PriorityClub triple bonus offer that I could not turn down )

Had an indi from one of the websites come in (website: relax.cl ? )
a few hours for approx EUR100. Was willing to come back next day (hang around full afternoon & evening and even drop me to the Airport since I had taken her out to nice seafood restaurant previous night for about 200EUR)

Marriott & Hyatt are in Las Condes (a bit off the way) not covenient to send a chiaca home easily if she is not up to the mark ... got to pay atleast 5K for cabfare YMMV

Raddisson is chica friendly. Had escorts show up all the way until 2 AM without a problem. They had to register first but they said they throw the registration away and there is no charge. One girl even came with out condoms and the hotel sent someone to get some then put it on my bill. Great service.

My experience with escort services is pretty good. Be specific about what you want and be prepared to send what you don't want away.

Crowne Plaza is quite nice, but i hate the location. Sure if U gonna hit downtown (Pussy Cat, Oliver, cofee with legs bars, etc) it is great, but i'd look for something better located, less noisy/smoggy.

Shit, it all depends on your company budget, but i'm tired of big fancy hotels and like to rent furnished apartments (Rent a Home http://www.rentahome.cl/index.html in Lyon or Bosque Norte are superb, and NO chica problem, they just walk into the building, up the lift), or smallish relaxed hotels, like the club presidente (http://www.elpresidente.cl/english/index.html ), the Vina one is definitively worth it.

fisrt bus to vina (looking at the web page, is 0700, last one back is 2200) add 90 min ride time, gotta be at the bus stop 10 min before. Suggest you buy the tickets from the web page.

I'll take U up on the booze offer, if i'm in the area.

Oops. I made a mistake on the hotel. I'm actually staying at Crowne Plaza on O'Higgins 136. I know that's a major street and I assume its a good location. Looks like I'll be staying there for three nights next week. Will get up early one day and take a bus to Valpo/Vina and explore and return to Santiago at 9PM if busses operate that late.

1) I'm staying at Radisson Hotel during the first week of October. Is that well located and girl friendly?

Radisson is on vitacura 2160. Very good location, next to restaurants. Good kick off for night life at walking distance (Suecia, or by cab Vitacura area)

Girl friendly. All expensive/ tourist hotels are chica friendly, so long as you have your date come and see you at 03:00 by herself. No one will stop you from stumbling in half drunk with your chica at that time. Incalls till 2100 will be unquestioned, after that depends on reception.

2) Club Pussycat sounds like a must visit for me even though they close at 9PM. Apparently their website is down. Does anyone have their address?

Between staying 2 days in Stgo. or spending one of them in Viña/Valpo., I'd definitely recommend the latter. Valparaiso indeed is old, but that´s what gives it a picturesque quality not to be found elsewhere in Chile. Viña is way more upper class and that's where the beaches and the nicer restaurants are. There´s also a casino there if you like that sort of thing (there are none in Stgo). All in all I should say it´s a nicer experience than staying 2 days in Stgo.

As for safety in downtown Stgo., I agree with bigbg, you shouldn´t have a problem as long as you stick to well-lighted places and use common sense (i.e., avoiding dark, lonely alleys, etc.). If you go to the "barrio alto" you can even walk the loneliest streets at any time of night with little or nothing to fear.

normal rate 2700, internet rate 2480. there and back rate times 2 (with a discount).

vina & valpo are nice, i like valpo better. but both are way overrated. compare to a 60ties resort with little development. valpo is old, very old.

if you have the bucks get on a tour once you are there, or rent a cab for the day. you'll be raped pricewice if you start from stgo (add us$ 150)

2) for bigbg or anyone else: where is club oliveer and can you recommend any others in the same price range.

oliver is on maciver street, about 6-8 blocks from alameda towards mapocho river on the right hand side. watch out for a big green sign on your right.

if you want a cheap crazy place look up pussy cat.

3) i'm 6'3 280 lbs but i still wonder if its safe to walk the streets of downtown santiago alone?

i'm 6'5 never been bugged in stgo ever. stgo is much safer than the rest of south america put together. but you will only be as safe as you play/dress. don't be flashy, dress down, avoid the fancy watches/gold. walk under the lights.

About 10 days ago I went again to Platinum Club. All I said in my previous report still holds, though I have to say I didn´t find the chicas quite so hot as the first time. Maybe the best talent wasn´t there that night, or maybe I was a bit disappointed because my expectations were so much higher than the first time I went. Even so, I still say that all in all the chica quality is very high - just not necessaarily outrageously high.

A few new things I learned this visit:

- According to a girl I talked to, there are 108 girls working there. Certainly there weren´t anywhere near a 100 when I went, but I hit the club pretty late on a weeknight. I´m inclined to believe her, since the club is pretty large.
- The same girl told me that of thos 108 girls, only SIX were chileans!! All the rest are from Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, etc. As I said, it´s the Latin American Hottie Team!! Still, only six chileans seems to me a bit too low. Of the 4 or 5 girls I talked to one was chilean, and the last time I went I talked to another chilean, so I think the true proportion of local girls could be around 20%.
- The club is now open from 7pm. Until 10pm they have "happy hours", so you pay for one drink and get two. It makes talking to the chicas inside the club less outrageously expensive. There´s supposed to be a show during the Happy Hour, but I haven´t been there at that time so far, so I can´t say if there are enough chicas inside so early to make it wothwhile.

Just back from a quick spin downton santiago to visit www.fiorellachile.cl

Chose Julia from the web page, they organized a motel room on Santo Domingo, very nice with jacuzzi and all.

I asked for the "lift" fantasy. I was led to the lift on the first floor, rode it up to the third, where Julia stepped on.

What can i say, we had an amazing time in a limited space. After a while we rode up back to our room.

Service was "....complete....". This girl is 8-9 in looks and quite "learned".

total cost $105.000 plus room ($15.000) for 1:30 of well deserved "....fun...", I definitively recomend.
