I understand what you're saying, but let's take a hypothetical case when an American has sex with a 16 year old in Colombia or Honduras, and takes some pictures / videos for his own personal use. Accidentally, these pictures are discovered (for instance in a customs search, or his disgruntled girl friend discovers them, etc). Can that expose him to legal trouble in USA? I am just curious what the letter of law is on this issue.

Do you have to pay customs or duty or a fee to bring a desktop / tower computer into Columbia? I will not bring a monitor; it's too heavy.

When you answer this question please state your certainty as a percent. "I'm 95% sure you can bring a tower thru customs" for example.

Also I know in Peru but I can not remember about Colombia that if you call a cell phone that uses the same carrier then it is cheaper than calling one of a different carrier so many people have more than one phone or at least SIM cards from various companies.

And carrying around all of her money and a credit card? Talking about putting all your eggs in one basket. If there is anything that I have learned from mongering it is to carry around no more than the amount of money you will need for immediate use.

Yep, thats why all of my girls friends and family try to use Tigo, it gets very expensive crossing over phone companies. My girl only has had and uses the cheapest nokia 2120 40mil, She has been robbed a few times like every girl expects to a one point. Part of life in Cali unfortunately.

Why do these women in Latin America continue to carry purses when they know there is a propensity of being robbed? My girlfriend in Cali was robbed Monday in the middle of her block while waiting for the bus. She had her 2 cellulars, money, credit card, and all of her ids in her bag. To me a purse just screams out "Come get me please" to a robber. It is a damn shame, especially seeing that all of that shit could have fit into her pockets.

Very common ocurence, very prevalent in Cali. Why does she need 2 celulars though. She should carry one at a time.

Fellas,

I am purchasing a ticket from LAX to BOG but I notice there is a layover in Caracas for like 7-8 hours. Is this a wise idea, or should I just pay a little more and fly more direct? I speak Spanish fluently, no problems there. I would have time to catch a taxi somewhere hit a few casas and head back to the airport and catch my flight.

Any advice, greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I have never been in Colombia or written anything in the Colombia forum. I spend my mongering time in East Europe. Anyway, I will possibly in connection with business be several times in Colombia after new year.

There are 4 cities that opbviously are good for fun: Bogota, Cali, Cartagena and Medellin. It would be interesting if some of the Colombia specialist will evaluate the cities regarding both P4P as well as semipros and freebies? I was thinking to spend some days in Cartagena, the combination of Caribbean coast and lots of girls is a winner:)! However, I may also travel more a round.

To get some impression of Colombian women I looked into Colombia Cupid. Are there any pros or semipros hidden there ?

After looking at the girls there, I notice 3 things:

1. Many girls/woman are rather fat: "too much junk in the trunk"! Is that what you also see when walking the streets? My impression has always been that Colombian women are VERY beautiful - and many are on the dating site too. But when you see photos in full size or look at height and weight, many even very young ones are quite big!

2. I see a surprising number of very good-looking women between 30 and 40, obviously they stay in great shape? is this real or is it good photoshopping?

3. There are a lot of single mothers.

You missed something that might be important. Medellin has mostly beautiful white(some people say pale) women. Before I always liked dark women but Medellin changed that for me. Cali has alot of darker women, and a good mixture. Also Cali has a different vibe than Medellin. Never been to Cartegena but I hear there and Baranquilla have darker ladies. Thats what I love about Colombia, the transition with styles. It has so much to be discovered, but for now I'm hooked on Medellin. I'm the type of guy that buys a CD for one song and keeps playing repeat on that song. Then one day you take a long ride and hear the rest of the CD and like that, and forget about the first song. Get it?
