When I checked in with Spirit they wanted to see the Mig form.

In September I went with JetBlue and they did not let me bag drop unless I showed them the Check Mig form. They also did not allow me to complete the check in online unless I uploaded my covid card or a negative test to their TrustAssure website.

The flight was messed up, so I missed my connecting flight and had to take American Airlines for the second leg of the trip. American Airlines would not let me bag drop without showing them the CheckMig, covid card, or negative test.

Upon arrival in Medellin they didn't ask for anything but the passport. Departing from Cartegena back to the US JetBlue did not allow me to bag drop unless I showed them the Check Mig, Migration didn't ask for anything but the passport and this is where many that only came with a carry on was unaware and had to step off the line and fill it out.

Did you check your spam folder? I'm leaving for Bogota again tomorrow so I fill out the check mig again and take a screen shot of the confirmation. Just in case they ask for it state side, not concerned at all about in Colombia.

In January I'll be arriving in Colombia a few days before the catholic holiday of epiphany. How is this holiday celebrated in big cities like Bogota? Is it a quiet family event or are there street parties? I've read conflicting information on line.

Will the majority of shops and restaurants be closed during epiphany? How about the SF scene? Will things be calmer or will it be business as usual? A quick google search indicates that epiphany is celebrated widely throughout Colombia on January 6th. Apparently there is another national holiday related to epiphany celebrated on January 10th as well. Does this mean 2 days of potential low monger activity? Can someone in the know please clue me in?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's basically a church Holiday some people go to church in the morning and then go about their day, The bars will be open, malls etc. You would be surprised how many of the chicks in Bogota know it's a holiday but don't even know why jaja.

I just filled out the form and so far have not gotten a response on my E- Mail.

I printed out the form so I hope that will be ok. I have always in the past have gotten a quick response to my E- Mail.

Anyone else have this happen to them?

No I checked it many times before I submitted my E- Mail. You are right. In the past as soon as I submitted it almost at once I got the confirmation. Oh well I do have the hard copy.

As ED said and I have said before You don't need to print it out. You only need to FILL IT OUT! When they scan your passport, they know everything about you. The check-mig included when you arrive in Colombia. However, some agents at check in, in the usa may ask for it. Possible to cover their ass and not being fully informed of the current process. Colombia will always send you an email confirming you filled out the form, so just pull it up on your email and show it at check in for your flight. Relax and enjoy your trip.

In March I asked the woman at the immigracion window if they still are collecting the mig card and she said no.

As ED said and I have said before You don't need to print it out. You only need to FILL IT OUT! When they scan your passport, they know everything about you. It is electronic. It is in the computer. They can see it when they scan your passport. Why do you guys think you will need to show something they can already see? If anybody you would need to show it at the ticket counter where you are from but not to immigration. I have been to Colombia 100 times since the check mig began and zero times have I been asked for it when leaving Colombia, but I hsve filled it out every time.

I've been traveling to MDE nearly every month for the last year. Inbound to MDE I've had to show the Check-Mig form 0% of the time to the airline and about 20% of the time to immigration. Outbound from MDE, I've had to show it 100% when going through immigration and 0% of the time to the airline. Could be the low incident of showing it inbound is because I have it in my hand when I hand over my passport and the officer doesn't bother because they see I have it. And I completely agree the website is a piece of crap.

I had problems last year both ways of my trip. Flew COPA and at checkin they had me retry there and it finally worked. The gal in MDE helped me. But no MGE, no boarding. Yes, the foto should work as mentioned by LL. Seems MIG is like a Lotto whether it works or not. Going down my flight got canceled due to plane and I was already checked in But next day at check the new checkin person said no MIG even though I had it the day before. Nothing makes sense or is the same from day to day or agent to agent.
