Cancun is an truly international destination and there are many Colombian tourists and families who regularly visit Cancun area and that I have met there. Yet the Mexican authorities are also aware of the Colombian girls reputation and assume they're hookers unless it can be proven otherwise.

I'm meeting a friend in Playa del Carmen that lives in Colombia. I've done this before with a chic from Peru and the she was required to show 500 USD equivalent currency at Lima airport before allowed to bored plane. This is to show that they have enough to get there and back. Any one know if its the same for Colombians departing Colombia for mexico? Thanks!

About a year ago, my Colombian GF who is a pharmacist didn't have any problems getting on the plane but was given the third degree upon landing in Cancun 1) because we traveled separately 2) because hotel reservation was under my name only. She had to show her official medical ID card and her credit card and a copy of my passport before they let her through.

She will not have to show a specified amount to leave Colombia, but getting out of the airport in Mexico is hit or miss. Make sure she has proof that she has a lodging reservation. She should dress conservatively. She should list a legitimate occupation and be prepared to describe what she does in that occupation. If she arrives in sexy attire and tells them she doesn't know where she is staying because her friend is meeting her at the airport, you will probably not see her. She will be denied entry.

I went to the Dominican once with a Colombiana. She was dressed super sexy (super tight pants and her big surgically modified porn star tits practically hanging out). I didn't have any issue but I traveled with her. Immigration in DR didn't say a word to us. Just stamped us in. I also did Aruba with the same chica. Same deal. I traveled with her, connecting from Panama, and they just stamped us through.

I can see it would have been different if she went alone though.

I had a buddy that tried to do that about a year ago and they did not let his Colombiana enter Mexico, so it was a wasted trip and a bunch of wasted money for him. He was in Mexico City and not Cancun though.

I was wondering if the scene is still worth visiting during the holidays. Also are any of the strip clubs open on New Years in Medellin or Bogota?

I was in Bogota in February and had an amazing time in Santa Fe. La fiebre and paisas were amazing taking 4 girls a night upstairs. Was wondering what it's like these days?

Not worried about $20. I am concerned about not being able to make calls or texts over wifi. What good would the service do me? Asking a genuine question. I can take my Iphone and the Google FI simcard to Colombia later this month. But if I can't make wifi calls or texts, I am not seeing the benefit of having the service.

You just have to check the link. I have an Android phone a Pixel no less designed to work with the service. And as somebody who travels to four or five countries a year I could not live without my Google fi service. I understand it might be a different calculation for someone who does not travel as frequently or has a phone that is less compatible. I think the service is so great it's worth giving it a shot for at most $20, but I'm not twisting anybody's arm.

Much of the result you'll get from your FB, ColombiaCupid, etc effort will depend on how much time you'll have at your destination. Are you content with one or two chicks per day? Are you going to be ok if one of the "dates" you've arranged shows up late and messes up your planned day or worse don't show up at all? How much time do you want to allocate to chasing these chics over dinner, drinks, etc? Are you looking for a relationship or a just a a bang? I didn't try FB but I did try CC and Instagram but abandoned the idea once on the ground because I was there for 4 days only and there were plenty chicas all around everywhere. I had arranged to meet 5 girls; 3 delayed our date when I arrived, one was traveling, and the lastI cancelled because I had a better option available. Assuming some Spanish skills just saying hola to an attractive girl in a bar or the mall food court or Plaza Botero had more immediate results / benefits. My limited time didn't allow for multiple "dating" events to get a chica in the sack. My 2 pesos.
