It is not that your being nonchalant. The CDC deliberately misled people to increase its funding. They paid to advertise heterosexual AIDS. They put a cute blonde on TV who said, "if I can get AIDS, anyone can. " It turns out she was shooting up IV drugs.

They put a preacher's son on who said the same thing. It turns out he was gay. Hell, you had the head of the CDC admitting that there was no downside to inflating the number of AIDS cases. In fact within the CDC itself there was a discussion on scaring the shit out of everyone or targeting gays and IV drug addicts who really needed the education. They went with the former, and it worked their funding went through the roof. Again, it amazes me that people will believe corporations will do anything for money, but government for some reason won't. I do not get that logic.

If someone has to do testing so they feel more comfortable going bare, have at it but just understand what it is. It is the CDC scaring the shit out of everybody, and it is an emotional decision. Logically speaking, you could test for hundreds of diseases with a much better transmission rate. Nobody knows anybody here who personally has gotten AIDS via heterosexual transmission. Hell, the brothels in Nevada have never had a documented case of transmission. So why is everyone so paranoid of AIDS? Because of the CDC's bullshit. I am not making fun of people here. I am just amazed that their bullshit campaign has had such legs.

No offense, but not going to risk potentially getting HIV based off some rando on a sex board saying it's for gays only. If you are a circumcised male there is a greater chance of getting struck by a car & killed than there is to catch HIV with a women thru PIV sex. There is a slight risk with bareback anal mainly because sometimes things tear or chafe with anal sex. A good rule of thumb, when TLN, is to have her register at the hotel, so that when they leave, reception calls you to ask if everything is ok, only do it with chicas you know or are recommended by someone you know, otherwise, just see them during the day.

How much of a nuisance is it to get BBFS from pros in Bogota or Medellin?

I'm assuming it's not as convenient as in the Philippines where I feel like it's standard.

In Thailand I have to run around asking a lot but the success rate is acceptable.

Getting BBFS is easier if you see a girl repeatedly. Build some rapport with her and she'll open up the second time you see her. Otherwise, it may be available for an additional tip. It also depends on your appearance / hygiene.
