Bacteria is another issue that can cause irritation, it goes hand in hand with my comment about the chemical make up, kind of one in the same. Of course the chemical makeup of the water is different, that is just common sense.

As far as the coca cola, as I said, it is the different ingredients that can also cause some issues. Usually the sweeteners that are used. In Europe they use a beet sugar which alters the taste and also causes me irritation in my stomach.

I have never had any issues with bottled water, so I never had to take on the added costs of distilled water. I think 99.9% of people will be fine using bottled water instead.

The point was, don't drink the tap water, it's not worth saving a few bucks on bottled water.

When traveling, it is not necessarily that the water is "dirty". It is just treated differently and contains a different chemical make up than the water your body is used to. Even "clean" water can cause bowel irritation and stomach issues.

Water is usually cheap no matter where you go, (except any Disney property, then it is $8 a bottle) you can buy 5 gallon jugs for a few bucks to drink at home base and you can refill travel sized bottles for when you go out and about. Don't risk ruining a trip over a few dollars worth of water. It is bad enough you can't avoid the ice at most times, no reason to play roulette and chug from a tap.

Never leave home without drugs to keep you from getting sick.

In Quito I got sick and forgot to bring all the drugs I needed. I had to call my doctor to get the right drugs.

No. I included the pictures. Apparently, pictures of cedulas, with every bit of identifying information blurred out, including the picture, the thumbprint and the bar code on the Colombian cedula, violates board policy. Maybe if I just posted a picture of a blank rectangle that would be acceptable.

The problem isn't with what it means to most Colombian women. The problem is what does it mean to most mongers? To complicate things, it's common for mongers to fudge a bit in their reviews. Everyone likes to put themselves in the best light. Plus, some reviews are written days, weeks or months later. When you're back in the US trying to decide between spending $150 to see a toothless meth addict or a heroin addict, that $50 6 or 7 looks more like a 9.

I found that about half of the Facebook girls were happy to spend time with me. By that I mean there was no specific time limit, no rush to leave. Only a few seemed to be watching the clock. Between 50-75% had no problem with DFK. 75% had no problem with BBBJ. Only about 15% offered BBFS.

Now YMMV. Around 70% of my sessions were immediately preceded by either a shower or a long sit in a jacuzzi with bubble bath. Starting off when the girl knows you are clean probably helps for the BBBJ.

    Cedulas..

Here are some pictures of a Colombian and a Venezuelan cedula. The Colombian is a composite showing front and back. The Venezuelan is just the front and part of that is cropped out. At the top should be 3 colored bars, yellow, blue and red.

First the Colombian cedula. Just below the title is the cedula number. The format is 1. 123.123. 123 I've got pictures of about a dozen cedulas and the first number is always a 1. I don't know if there are any valid cedulas which begin with any other number. Below that are the last names. Many Colombians have 2 last names, the last name of both the mother and father. Next line is for their first and middle name and the last line is for their signature. On the back you'll find the date of birth top left. Place of birth is to the right. The other information is when and where the cedula was applied for, blood type and height.

The Venezuelan cedula is simpler. Top center is the cedula number, 12.345. 678 is the format. Next are the last names, then first and middle name. In the middle: top left is birth date, top right is marital status, bottom left is issue date, bottom right is expiration date. It's good for 10 years.

    From Medellin:

I buy beautiful colorful 2 person hammocks for 45 k in Parque Bolivar during their craft fair, 1st weekend of every month. (lots of cool stuff there).

I buy 10 k Colombian soccer jerseys from a street vendor on the corner of Calle 52 & Carr 49. Next to Edificio Coltejer, the big white tall building- Go Atletico Nacional!

I get nice size Botero statues during the weekend from a little old lady under the Metro by Plaza Botero for 10 k. (not tiny ones either).

I always walk thru and buy some stuff at "Centro Artesanal Mi Viejo Pueblo" a large craft and souvenir mall Cra. 49 #53-20 on Junin Walking Street at the Parque Bolivar end.

I get some very nice Botero prints on canvas (30 k) from the corner souvenir shop next to Plaza Botero, corner of Carr 52 & Calle 52.

    Guava sweets and colombian candy.

    Colombian sombrero 21 Vueltiao.

    Coffee.
As long as you aren't bringing in controlled substances where you are going (nootropics, opioids etc which CAN ALL be gotten OTC anywhere in Colombia), and they are obviously for personal use or gifts, you will be fine.

And for 20 k or less, they aren't going to last.

Try shoe alley in El Centro. Calle 47 between Carrera 52 and 53. You'll see why I call it shoe alley when you get there.
I went to Palacio in Medellin. That is when I found out they only go up to a certain size. They told me that for size 11 I would have to buy originals.
