First off this girl was a sharp cookie. I'm almost sure she used a fake ID. I was leaving the next day so if they could find her right away then I would bet the money would be gone by then.
One good thing I contacted my cell co. And I found out they used no data. Also my phone only works with my thumb print or a code is needed. So I get a small last laugh as my co. Black listed the phone. That phone is dead.

Yep, the chickas are a bag of tricks. Get her to to register IF you have reception, security. In my case in Sosua there was neither, the chicka rifled my pants pocket quicker than you can say 'cobra' , then producing a knife, I was drunk, I let her go, could not touch her as I would have had my culo lessoned, imagine touching one of Dominican Republics fine upstanding daughter's. She even brought Polisia to attempt round two, rob the gringo. Fail.
Had to postpone my upcoming trip to Bogota, reschedule my leave, and then skip the hoop Avianca, I'm looking at early June when all the hysteria dies.

I'm sorry to hear what happened to you Kelso. That's a very sobering experience. What a shocker.
Somehow or someway she slipped you a drug. Can you remember how that happened and tell us what happened?

Another rule to consider:
When all the bars, clubs and restaurants in an entire country have been shutdown, borders have been closed to foreigners, residents have been advised to stay home, maybe it's a bad time to be picking up girls off the street.

A good rule of thumb, when TLN, is to have her register at the hotel, so that when they leave, reception calls you to ask if everything is ok, only do it with chicas you know or are recommended by someone you know, otherwise, just see them during the day.
Thank you for sharing. I am sure this will help us be careful.
Later.

By gods grace go thee as I have not been drugged but over the past 23 plus years have gotten into some bad situations which I had to pay my way to get out of.
Good your OK and yes the loss of a $1,000 bucks and a cell phone is tough but you live to fight another day.

This is a hard report for me to make. Last night in Santa Fe, Bogata all the clubs were closed. I found a very beautiful woman around 30 years old. She had that Asian look some of the girls have. I offered her 250 k for TLN. She accepted and off we go to my hotel IBES. BTW they are girl friendly (one only). So in the room the next thing I remember is I'm looking for the girl, and I'm in such a daze it did not bother me that I could*not find her. After a while I saw my safe door was open. From the safe I lost $930 USA cash, my cell phone which was a Samson 10. Now for the really heart breaking part. My Wingman who lives in MDE, but is in the US now, we decided that a rate of 4000 pesos per dollar was crazy. So for the six days I have been getting 900 k at a time from an ATM The safe was full of 50 k notes. I have no real idea how she got into the safe.
About 5 years ago in MDE I was also drugged and robbed.
All this plus as I'm basically a old Monger I know deep down in my heart it is time to pull the plug on mongering.
As a last note from my many years of being on the hunt I must give this final piece of advice. The only way to be safe is to deal with casa's.
Good luck gentlemen To quote a famous general. {Old Mongers don't die they just fade away.}

If one gets sick / ill while in Colombia, from this virus, what are the chances to get proper treatment / ER? What might the costs be? In the US / UK / EU you can forget about when shit hits the fan. They are talking about millions of people infected. So only extreme and severe cases will get attention and for those in the 70's will have a chance of being hospitalised.

Self-imposed isolation.
◾China.
◾Spain.
◾Italy.
◾France.
Travelers from or who have been in countries deemed as extreme risk must agree to a compulsory two-week isolation at home or in their hotel.
Travelers from countries deemed as extreme risk who are unable to commit to this self-imposed quarantine are recommended to cancel or postpone their trip.
Migration officials will verify compliance through daily check-ins through a mobile app and have the authority to impose sanctions in cases of non-compliance.
If these extreme risk visitors are cleared after their two-week isolation, they will be free to travel.

The requirements for travelers from extreme risk countries are more stringent, including compulsory isolation and medical monitoring of some sort.
