Do you mean laminate it or just put it in a plastic bag? If you laminate it you will not be able to write the monthly boosters on it later.

I just got back last weekend from BAQ. My plans to fly for the Christmas / New Year Holiday took a very sudden turn when they changed the rule in early December. I was not Vaxd when the Ministry of Health proclaimed that all Non-Residents must either be fully vaxd or show a Neg PCR. At the time I couldn't find the Rapid PCR near me so I went with the Johnson 1 Poke as I still had time for the 2 weeks required to be considered FULLY VAXD.

I was shocked that I had my card checked twice in FLL Airport before leaving and it was heavily examined upon arrival in BAQ by La Migra. Once there I was asked to show it at several restaurants and clubs.

If you want to enter many of the upscale restaurants and night clubs you will need you Vax card with you at all times..

I don't have the link, but I read it in Spanish (when it first came out) and it seemed very clear. Non residents need to be fully vaccinated to enter..

My card is only a month old and almost worn out from constantly getting it out and showing it around. These things are larger than a normal wallet so you have to fold them and they are crappy card stock so it seems that they wear out pretty quickly. Don't really know what to do about that when it is unreadable.

Any thoughts on that would be helpful.

Same thing happened to me in December in CTG Dolce did not let anyone in unless proof of vaccine was shown, same with upscale restaurants in Centro. But once we got to El Lagito, Bocagrande and Getsemeni no one asked. I leave the card in the safe and use the app, over here in NJ we have the Docket app that shows vaccine status and across the bridge in NY they have Excelsior Pass. You may want to check if your state also have its own version of the app and take a screenshot of the vaccine app as its faster to pull up a photo.

There is some mixed info floating around that only double vaxed can enter, also that first vac and neg PCR can enter. Since I had the shit last year my doctor recommending just have the first dose, which I did.

Any of you have direct info from the Col. Gov about this in Spanish?

I don't have the link, but I read it in Spanish (when it first came out) and it seemed very clear. Non residents need to be fully vaccinated to enter.



Edited to add: I did a search and on https://colombia.travel/en/covid-19-information it indicates that indeed you may be able to enter with first dose of vaccine plus PCR test..

Why are you asking random strangers about things that are listed on Colombia's official Embassy site? The shouldn't be any mixed info floating around anywhere. If its not stated on Colombia's official site then do not believe it, or you can chance it and the worst that can happen is you get denied entry and your money and time wasted.

I'm considering a trip to CTG and MDE in early March. I took a few trips last year and the situation was decent some places and less decent others re: restrictions. Are things generally open and open late? (I went to Portugal last summer and everything closed at 7! Brazil was cool, but they made you wear your masks everywher -- even the beach.) Is the chica scene in CTG and MDE decent nowadays? (I primarily use Facebook in Colombia, so I assume this is not a problem.

I have heard that some normally GF places are being stricter on letting girls in.).

I just flew into MDE on Jan 6th, and for the first time I was asked to show my vacc card and inspected by the migra.

MDE has no curfew in effect. Leaving for CTG tomorrow, but as of last year Oct there was 2 am curfew in effect.

Chica scene is still decent so far in MDE, but I can only speak for el centro area Botero Plaza. I would still "cum".

I used only numbers. I'm going to MDE.

The only time I had that problem it was because I had chosen the wrong destination airport. I had selected the Olaya Herrera Airport instead of the Jose Maria Cordova Airport.

Are you traveling to Colombia or leaving? Make sure the flight number is the flight arriving or leaving Colombia, and only use numbers, no letters. I only fly Copa, and their counter agents are good with helping people fill out forms. Hopefully other airline agents are also helpful.

Check your air tickets for luggage allowances. Most tickets should allow you 1 carryon luggage under 22 x14 x9 inches which fit in the overhead bin, also a soft bag for personal items. If your luggage exceeds 22 x14 x9 inch including wheels and handles, check luggage fee can be expensive. Airlines will dick you for high check luggage fee.

I bought an American Tourister carry-on flexible roll along case in Bogota. It fit inside the box at the VivaAerobus' counter, but they nailed me for $145 fee for a flight from Medellin to Mexico city.

At Volaris' counter in Mexico City, agents told me the piece did not have to check in, it's slightly large but would fit in the overhead bin. But at the gate, Volaris agents refused to let me board, had no workers to take it back to the counter, told me to take it back, which was half the airport away with long waiting lines, would take hours and I would miss the flight. Damn.

I came back to the gate talking to the English-speaking flight crew chief. He said he could not take the chance not being able to close the overhead bin and the plane could not take off. He had a real safety and regulation concern as a bursar, not trying to dick me for extra luggage money. After all passengers boarded, he told me my luggage would have to stay behind. Lucky I had a smaller pilot roll-along case that fit inside the big one. I packed valuables into the smaller case, wore an extra sweater under the jacket, discarded some old clothes inside the brand-new Am Tourister alleged carry-on case at the gate and boarded the plane to go home. Another passenger also had to discard his big hard case and carried all his clothes in a trash bag onto the plane. That was allowed.

So buy a pilot carry on case 22 x14 x8 to prevent ridiculous check luggage fees by cheap airlines. Don't forget this perfect Medellin beauty by Botero.

I'm trying to complete this form online and when I put the flight number in I get a response that the number is incorrect. I have checked it 10 times with no luck. I'm positive I put the right number in. I wonder if I can get this corrected at the airport. I know you have to have the form sent in no later than one hour before the flight.
