A chick that came over last night said Didi was the cheapest and had the most cars. I see some foreigners using Beat because it looks just like Uber. I have been checking the price on Easy Taxi then going over to InDriver and bidding a couple thousand under that.

I used Uber pretty regularly the end of last Nov. in MDE and tried to reset here but they asking my last two trips and to where? In USA Or CO? Too complicated for vacation so just been taxiing it mostly but 1st night here in Q they not running their meters (I was too tired to catch it) and like triple what costs in BOG to go a certain distance. Uber being banned compounded with zero car day on Thurs. in BOG (all across the country? Wondering if the taxi 'cartel' now naming their prices.

I am going to download some of the local transport apps. for tomorrow and/or figure out the local bus route for a basically straight line run 4 blocks from my hotel to Zero Estres!

My opinion is, it doesn't matter. The chance of you ever visiting Colombia is about the same as the chance of me giving birth to a blonde Chinese baby. Sorry. Just see one of these silly posts about every 6 months, and I never see any follow up.

The best city for an escort to come to your room? Bogota. They have more escort services than any other city. I'm not sure why anyone's first choice would be to use an escort service.

The best city to have a 20-25 year old to show you around? Medellin. There are several girls on Facebook who are into giving tours. Some have their own car, although most of them are older than 25.

The best city to have dinner? Probably Cartagena. I hear there are some excellent restaurants.

The best city to "bang the shit" out of someone? Maybe Cucuta. First drink the tap water. Then go looking for a girl with dysentery. Alternatively, mix up a heavy dose of Miralax and Gatorade and get her to drink it. Within a few hours, you both should be shitting about every 30 minutes.

Thanks for the information. I have 3 countries on my itinerary that I'm visiting in a few months and was trying to save some time. (One city in Columbia, Cuenca, Ecuador, and Cuzco, Peru.) I don't mind doing my homework. I can RTFF. But there is a huge volume of information here. Just trying to eliminate the some of it that does not apply. Don't want to have to read about every city in Columbia in order to decide which one to go to.

I went from Bogota to Quito by bus in December. First leg was Bogota to Ipailes (stayed in Ipiales 2 days). That bus was alright as it wasn't overcrowded and had a personal TV / video which you could select movies or shows. Crossed the bridge by foot to Tulcan and took another bus Quito.

You shouldn't have any problems as a foreigner. You'll notice a lot of Venezuelans on the bus traveling one direction or another, some girls go to Ecuador to work when they get tired of the Bogota scene. Funny thing is that you can cross the border by car, taxi, bus, motorcycle without showing your passport. Sometimes there is a Immigration officer on the foot bridge requesting to see your passport. That's how some Venezuelans bypass the immigration check point.

If you decide to go by bus, I'd advise buying 2 seats so you can sit alone in peace. Another option is higher end buses that are slightly more but well worth it. Especially in Peru, couldn't recommend ExcluCiva enough. Personal TV, Meal, full reclining seat with curtains, attendant could be buzzed to buy beverages or snacks. Another note, almost all the buses are pee only, no poo.

It's about $80 a month. Lots of fake profiles and scammers. Before getting to Medellin I had many asking for money so that they can do their nails and hair up so that they could look nice when I arrived. I am assuming this works on a lot of people and that's why they asked. This site is very time consuming. I met many non pros on here but I did not have time to do what they wanted. 6) Pros. I knew they were pros because they advertised it on their profile bio.

Overall I would not recommend the site because IMO it's too pricey. These girls know how much cash you have because you have to put it in your profile. And the minimum you can put in there is 100 k yearly. So they figure this guy has cash and charge more. But like I said you can find the 150 to 200 mil girls on there but it just takes time. Neither. If you want to get to CTG directly, look at Spirit. They fly out of FLL and you do no need to fly out of BOG. Cheapest flights are on Tuesday and Wednesday. I found some in $350 area.

Look at Interjet out of San Antonio or Dallas to BOG. I found $292 on Interjet from DFW to BOG leaving 2/17 returning 2/24. Same dates out of San Antonio are $284.

Delta is throwing secret weekend sale to both Quito and Bogota. Being a turd I crunched multi destination out AUS-UIO return BOG-AUS for $265 Total.

Now for unwanted sticker shock: One way flights between Quito and Bogota easily $280.

1. I'm overdue for a trip to BOG but couldn't find any information on the sale; would you be willing to share the link?

2. A 14 hour bus ride sounds like a miserable experience, especially in Colombia. And I'm doubtful you would even be able to find a direct route (think transfers and delays in every major city). Obviously you have to work within a budget but the Pasto flight is the better option IF you're on a timeline. Several years ago I travelled by bus from BOG to Banos but had several days to do so; that's the only way I would advise the bus. If that's an option, Otavalo has a market that is worth checking out and Popayan is a beautiful city as well. As for security, I have always felt safe and have never had any issues; just keep your bag off of the floor and within eyesight.
