Posts: 1398Thanks for the correct info.
Ok, so now I have the correct info, and I won't be dealing with the guy with the huge immigration website for Colombia anymore. His reply to me with the 65 day thing seemed a bit shady.

So even if you do get a premium account you can't communicate with standard users. It is entertaining but overall kind of pointless.
https://la-date.com - you get some free message and communication but quickly free credits run out. The messages I get are obviously either fake or generated by profiles that the site creates. It appears they create their own fake profiles and just have staff that send you messages. I get crazy messages like I want to come fly to see you.
It seems like there has to be some way to meet real Colombian women online for free (non-escorts) but wading through all the fake profiles is tough. I try to go through both sites and look for non-professional type photos but even those I think are fake.

I recently took a trip to Medellin and stayed in the Poblado area. I can walk for hours where I live with no problems but there are zero hills where I am. Walking in Poblado is completely different. I'm in my early fifties and am of average height and about average BMI. Hill walking is much much harder than flat walking. If you're not used to it, I recommend hitting the treadmill at an incline to maybe make it easier. That's what I'm going to do next trip.

There's a small chance I am coming back with only like 25 days left before year end. I'll report back if I do and a smaller number is written on my passport. I'm also leaving in October and will report back if anyone says anything.

First, without an extension you can only stay in the country for 90 days. But, if you get the extension while within the country you can stay up to 180 days total.
If you come into the country, stay less than or up to 90 days, and then leave, you can then re-enter and stay up to another 90 days. You don't have to do anything in particular to do this.
The extension only applies in situation 1. And without some other type of visa you cannot get an extension to stay more than 180 days.

But when I got to the airport they marked a "90" on my passport, meaning I have another 90 days here, having already spent 84 in the spring.
They said I get 180 total days per calendar year, and the 90 *consecutive* days restart when you leave the county. The extension is only if you want more than 180 total days in a calendar year.
So, for future reference to anyone reading this, you get 180 total days a year in Colombia as a tourist, but cannot stay more than 90 consecutive days.
The consecutive day counter restarts when you leave the country, and the 180 days restart on Jan. 1st every year.
All that headache for nothing! LOL.

Posts: 7Sites for meeting Colombian women
Hey guys,
Looking for some advice on sites to use. I have tried out latinAmericaCupid and Tinder. The price structure is quite high LAC and you can't respond to emails unless you have upgraded your membership. The problem there is most of the women also have basic profiles so you really can't communicate. I've also looked at Tinder without much success. Let me know if there are any sites anyone recommends to meet and chat with Colombian women. Thanks in advance.

JohnnyWalker55's post is a little misleading. It would be more clear if he stated "You can only stay up to 90 consecutive days in a calendar year on a tourist visa (without the extension)."

Also, not that anyone should take my advice, but after reading many websites and having my friend call immigration the verdict is........ As of a 2020 law / regulation
That I don't need to do the online renewal since I left before 90 days and reentered the country. My new stamp in my passport says 90 days, and I will be using less. Presumably if I came back in and only had 3 weeks left, my stamp would say 21 days. After googling the phrases, the language used seemed to say the additional paperwork was needed if you wanted to stay consecutively for more than 90 days up to the 180.
So I still might be wrong but it makes sense to me. I am curious what immigration tells you.
