Hi all,

I'm planning a possible Colombia trip. Been to Colombia back in 2006 to Bogota and Cartagena. Since then planned a trip to Medelllin / Cali numerous times. But life situations means I had to call it off.

All my previous notes now all useless LOL. I have been RTFF and started adding fb girls. I have also messaged some bms here for advice and many thanks in advance for those who are getting back to me.

I have a few questions if anyone can provide their two cents. I have temporarily booked 2 weeks off (28th March - 12th April). This coincides with the holy week. Is this a mad time to visit? Will it be quiet the week before the holy week? I have another two weeks end of June. I can delay the Colombia trip until then so I have more time to prepare my contacts (and learn Spanish!).

I have signed up to SA. Is the way to do it just to msg girls before I land and collect all the numbers? My spanish is nada (knows a little portuguese).

I have searched for "Lau Gomez" on fb. There are a few under that name. Can anyone offer any hints which one I need to contact?

Holy week things will be slow. It won't be impossible to find girls, but your options will be limited. I'd suggest taking the later trip.

For those here, that mostly stay at El Poblado or Parque Lleras, do you ever message your FB chicas who live in Bello, Antioquioa?

It's kind of a hike, like at least 30 min or so. If you do, do they usually go along with it and drive to your apt / hotel, etc?

Almost all the fb girls I see live in Bello, I always stay in Poblado or envigado. They all have absolutely no problem coming over. You just have to get use to the fact that most of them will be late. All the fb girls are terrible at making basic statistical estimations (all the girls I see are between 18-21, maybe the older ones are better at math), whatever arrival time they tell you, just add a relatively large margin that is directly proportional to the distance between your place and Bello and the time of the day. I normally add anywhere between 30-80 minutes. Taxi cost about 20-25 k from Bello to Poblado, one way, and about 25-30 k from Bello to envigado. Some of the girls will ask for 50 each way, you can tell them to fuck off and just give then 50 k for round trip.

In both Colombia and Costa Rica Amor is very commonly used even among strangers. Bebe, cario, mi vida etc are not. In US waitresses commonly call customers Hon. I'm oftentimes called Amor by strangers and it is just a nice way to greet someone whose name you don't know. It works both ways. But you can't use Amor in Mexico or most other Latin countries the same way. It's only for close friends, family and lovers.

But, the bebe etc. Are definitely more business lingo when coming from a stranger.

Truth is, both of you are kind of right. It's really specific to the individual person and situation.

The higher people are on the socioeconomic ladder, the less likely they will be to call you "amor".

The colder the climate, the less likely.

Prepagos and putas will ALWAYS call you amor or bb though. This much is true.

I remember once back on 2006 when my second ex-wife (who actually used to have a presence here) was with me we were eating in a neighborhood restaurant and I needed some salt and addressed the waitress as "amor". My wife was FURIOUS and the waitress started making eyes at me and flirting with me. LOL!

In NYC in the Spanish speaking community almost everybody calls each other amor so it was force of habit for me (I was still living in NYC at the time).

For sure man. I am planning things out for the future. I have a pension but it won't be a while until I can collect on that. I wish I could just win the fuckin lotto LOL. An airline gig would be fuckin sweet though...

And in Medellin, it's usually just "mor" instead of "amor."

Never had any Colombian friends who weren't P4P call me amor, more, bebe, etc. Although a few have used "Mijo."

If I'm chatting with a girl about setting up a P4P meeting and she talks to me as if she's someone who does P4 P, it's not going to bother me. If I'm asking a nun for directions and she blurts out "amor, dame la verga en mi culo" it's probably going to throw me off.

Online English teachers do ok but not a lot of cash. I'd love to be able to work from home in Thailand one month and then be in another country the following month. That would be my dream right there! Master, school the student.

What do you have a talent for (or what do you currently / last job). Have laptop and internet connection can travel. Look at freelance websites and see if there is anything that will allow you to work from home. Video Editing, Music, Photo Editing, Day Trading, find businesses who need a representative in foreign countries, web developer, IT developer / coder, Travel Agent, Podcaster, Blogger, Telemarketer, Call center rep / Tech Support specialist, Teacher / tutor, Author / Writer / Editor, Graphic designer, Software tester, Hacker, Meeting / convention / event planner. I could go on and on. What do you have a talent for and make a plan.

One of the services that you go through, to get a bitcoin wallet, asks all of these security questions, and one of them shows you a map of your city and asks you to name which cross streets are the closest of the multiple options.
