For what it's worth, here is an official update from the USA Embassy.

    "Entry and Exit Requirements .

Are USA Citizens permitted to enter?8239;Yes.

As of December 14, all visitors to Colombia aged 18 or older will need to provide proof of complete vaccination for entry. If your final COVID vaccine was less than 14 days before entry to Colombia you will need to have a PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival in Colombia.

Travelers must complete Migraciķand Colombia's online Check-Mig form within 48 hours of boarding an inbound or outbound flight from Colombia. If the normal form's website is down travelers can find a contingency website here. ".

    God, I hate this shit.
I hope we get the official word on the 14th that is either fully vax or PCR and not both for tourists.

I think it is full vaccine status or one shot and and a PCR test. Here is what Medellin Guru is saying:

"For tourists visiting Colombia, must have a completed vaccination record or at least one vaccination and a PCR test with a negative result taken within 72 hours."

I have scheduled a test just in case, but I don't think it is required. Anyone else have more information?

Too bad so many Americans fear it so much. But, hey, better for the rest of us.

    Happy hols to all.

    Cash Problems

I had the same problem with a CS debit card at a few ATMs, but another card worked perfect.

Called CS, they said wrong pin too many time, they had to block it out. Reset the PIN, card works now.

    You got that right.

    You got that right.

I was born in a developing country then immigrated to America so I view the world differently. Where I'm from, hot water is a luxury. I have friends whos been living in East New York for 30+ years and constantly ask me if I'm not scared to go to CTG because its dangerous. The irony of them asking me that like the crime in East New York on a summer weekend is equal to the a whole years worth of crimes in CTG. Many Americans don't have passports or even travel out of their own state and base their views through TV shows, movies and stories they hear. Its like they watched Narcos on Netflix and that's all the info they need to come to a conclusion on Colombia.

You should continue trying your card. A while back, the international ATM network was not working in Colombia. For almost a week, no withdrawals were possible with a foreign bank card. Also, try other banks. Davivienda and Scotiabank Colpatria always have worked for me if the network was working. Bancolombia has been a crap shoot for me.

Travelers wishing to enter Colombia must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test or a vaccination certificate starting on Dec. 14, Health Minister Fernando Ruiz announced on Tuesday.

Here is the part that is confusing:

If you have been vaccinated less than 14 days before, you must also submit the PCR test 72 hours in advance.

So this marks the eighth change in Colombian entrance policies in the last 15 months. You know now that the Duque administration and Colombia is truly an American ally because they have done the unthinkable: they have made the CDC look reasonable.

Looks like visitors will need both the vaccine and the test.

There are two separate categories of travelers.

I put your claim to the test nearly 5 years ago, before moving to Medellin for a year. I told everyone what I was going to do and almost everyone had the same response: "Colombia is very dangerous. " While very few knew much about it, everyone could differentiate between Colombia and Mexico.

Cancun is not Colombia. Cancun is heavily advertised, not just to average beach goers as a perfect vacation spot but to college kids having no hold barred, all you can drink, uninhibited sex vacation. Most people still view Colombia as a country with heavy crime rates with drugs and gangs.
