Has anyone been to any tours or caught a soccer game in medellin.

I am going in September for a week.

LOL. When I took a friend to Colombia, I filled my form out no problem. He was using his phone and for whatever reason, checkMIG would not take any of his email accounts. I just said "Fuck it. Put mine in. " and it worked. Why? Who the fuck knows?

Because he had a space after it. It will not work if it is.

My question is for international travelers entering Colombia. Is a shot card showing 2 shots and a booster sufficient for entry?

Your shot card is good, but no booster needed. Fully vaccinated, one shot of J&J, two shots of the others.

Always seem to have a problem with this crudely designed form. I actually got so pissed off by this form during the early days of the pandemic I cancelled my trip the day of. Once I couldn't even find an occupation for sales! So I started putting down I was a Nuclear Scientist and it took it jaja However I did have much better luck doing the form on my I-phone rather than my laptop.

Yes you can put down anything as a job the same as you can do for where you are staying. That is for statistics purposes. The system does not know you. Why would you be surprised that it was accepted?

Nothing surprises me in Colombia anymore.

It is poorly designed. It would be much better if, after entering name it had you enter airline and flight number (and it understood that 0555 and 555 are the same number). At that point it knows your port of entry.

Yes you can put down anything as a job the same as you can do for where you are staying. That is for statistics purposes. The system does not know you. Why would you be surprised that it was accepted?

A partir del 1 de mayo cambiaran en Colombia las medidas contra el covid-19 y las condiciones para los viajeros no son la excepcion. El Ministerio de Salud anuncio que ahora las personas provenientes de otros paises podran ingresar con una prueba negativa de PCR o antigenos, sin necesidad de contar con el esquema completo de vacunacion.

Entre las aclaraciones, Minsalud explic que el test tendra que practicarse en las 72 horas anteriores a la llegada a Colombia 48 horas si es prueba de antigenos. Ademas, se mantendra la opcion de presentar el esquema de vacunacion completo, sin requerir una prueba adicional.

But as I always tell my fellow travelers, if its not on the embassy site then take it with caution as the Airline has to be informed and update their policies as well as Migracion.

Of all the stupid things these Country's do this Check Mig form rates up there with the USA giving you only one day to get the covid test. In GYE my flight was for a Monday. I had a hard time finding a place on Sunday to get the test. This would be so simple if they would do it like when they first had Covid problems before there was no vaccination. As I entered BOG all they did was give everyone a temperture check. If I was King of the world I would mandate Temp checks and a completed vaccination Form. No stupid test and you avoid the possible false test results.

How is that? You have to fill out immigration forms for most countries you go to. With Checkmig you are just doing it electronically. So you want to go back to doing the longer 2 paper forms instead of the short electronic form?

If I was King of the world I would mandate Temp checks and a completed vaccination Form. No stupid test and you avoid the possible false test results.

And that is exactly what they would do if the vaccines really worked at a reliable rate. But since they make you have a test as well, that should tell you something.

It seems I have a problem every time I need to fill out the Check Mig form and it always turns out to be something I did wrong.

The first time, I had selected the wrong Medellin airport. I spent 10 minutes before I looked where the form thought I was going. This time, by habit I picked the right Medellin airport, except I'm entering through Bogota.

After that problem it still wouldn't go through. I wasn't entering the flight number correctly. I forgot to eliminate the leading zero. For example, if your flight number is DL0555, the flight number to enter is just 555.0555 won't work.

It's done, accepted and confirmed. Just need to put in about 26 hours of work before Tuesday morning and I'm all set.
