They are very restrictive when they notice frequent money being sent to certain places. I was blocked online and they wanted lots of information to allow me to send again. Didn't do it. Not worth it and best not to send anyway. I never sent much but nothing is less and better.

Yeah, JG, I am beyond frustrated with how this whole thing has been handled. First, we were told social distancing was supposed to flatten the curve. Great, mission accomplished. Thing is that there was no plan after that. Now, social distancing is being touted as life saving when it was NEVER intended or proven to do that and now that people including the Colombian government have had the shit scared out of them, they are reluctant to go back to normal. The media is doing the same thing as they have with AIDS and heterosexuals, touting that young people can die from Covid too even though it is so rare for that to happen.

Peru locked down much more brutally and strongly than Colombia did, and have you seen the difference in cases between the two? Peru has 60,000 cases and Colombia, with a population of 20 million more people, has 10,000. If it is all about social distancing, why is that? BECAUSE IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT SOCIAL DISTANCING!!

It is always like this. The temperature and humidity are constant. If you want to grow fucking anything, this is the kind of weather you want.

Compare that to Bogota. Shit, you have sun one hour, then rain the next, 45 degrees one hour and 70 a few hours later and low oxygen content due to the altitude. In Bogota, you have to have layers of clothes and an umbrella. I asked one on my chicas why she was caring an umbrella when it was sunny out, and she looked at me like I was crazy, "Because it is Bogota", she said and sure enough it started raining shortly after. This is a horrible climate to grow most things.

A vaccine is fantasy land right now. Isolate the sick. Isolate those at high risk and let the rest of us either go about our business or take our chances. I do not get why Covid is so much worse than other diseases given the most recent data we have. What is the alternative? Texas opened up May 1, and we have not seen the explosion of cases so far. Do you know what I am seeing now that I have not before? Traffic. I actually missed traffic. It meant people were up alive and doing.

I do not understand this isolation bullshit if you come in from abroad when the virus is spreading domestically but if someone is doing it, everyone is. Here in Texas, you have to self-isolate if you come in from places like NYC, Miami, or Atlanta. A Colombian chica of mine had to self-isolate when she got back from Mexico, which at the time was a very low risk area. The government called her several times to check on her.

Maybe if you have a test + for antibodies, you do not have to self-isolate. Never mind the fact that many of those tests are shit. Maybe that will be the way back in sooner rather than later.

I just offered to fly a 24 year old from Alabama here to Texas. She didn't want to fly because of the virus. At age 24. How fucked up is that? A 24 year old afraid to fly means the world has gone full xxxx now.

I am going to push my tickets way back into the fall now. I predicted June or July for flying into Colombia to resume and I still think that, but that is going to be with quarantines it looks like.

Thanks for the feedback. Not good, but realistic. A buddy of mine has scheduled a trip for September later this year, but he is ready for a 14-day confinement stay. He usually goes there for months at a time. As for me, I don't want to go through the 14-day confinement stay, as I usually stay only 2 weeks.

So I was originally planning to visit Colombia in June and July. It's my understand that I would have been able to fly into the country but everything would have been closed. National airlines told me, that they will take up operation on 31/5 again. The government said that also after the quarantine strong measures will stay in place. I also postponed all my client trips until and with August to next year. Some of my local providers told me that they will not open before November. Also we do not know yet when intercontinental flights will arrive again to Colombia. ".

Absent that, you could maybe transport the crude somewhere else where you had a facility (to a tanker at open sea is one alternative). Absent being fortunate enough to have an empty storage facility in Cushing, it's going to be very expensive to take that oil. Expensive enough that people were willing to pay you to take that hot potato off their hands.
