What is happening to Haitians in DR? When I was there last week they looked just fine.
The deportation of Haitian or anyone who looks Haitian even if there are citizens of the DR. There was articles in the news last month but the story has died down.

Need a recommendation
I been to many place in my years of mongering but because of what is happening to the Haitians in the DR I want to try something new. So which city in Colombia would you suggest for my first trip. I am planning this trip as if I'm traveling alone but usually I have a wingman. Planning on staying less then a week and will be flying form ORD so I don't want to waste a lot of time with layovers. Look for something safe with action 24/7 with some tourist area to take photo of. I would appreciate any comments on Bogota, Medellin, Cali and Cartagena good or bad. For a comparison I been to the Manila, Angeles City, Pattaya, Bangkok, San Jose, Panama, Rio, Sosua, Boca Chic and Santa Domingo.

It is the same if you transit through the US. You have to go through immigration and depending which airport you are going through can take up to 1. 5 hrs, then customs and then security.
I used to go to Colombia via Miami, but no more, had enough of the rude immigration officials. I now transit through Panama or Bogota.

Casa negotiation for extras
When we go to the casa I think most of of look for certain extras (for me, kissing and BBBJ).
How do you guys negotiate that? I try to pick a girl that smiles / etc. I usually negotiate before picking the girl (if I wait, I may get a no). But in this case they often ask for a specific tip. The downside to this is sometimes the extras are done poorly, and I still have promised a tip (so I pay it).
Do people have other approaches to getting better service? I guess its the luck of the draw, but maybe I can improve the odds.

There was a young lady that fainted waiting in the lines. Out of dehydration after coming off of a 9 HR flight from BA. No airport staff came to help her and they won't let us go get water for her. I used to whine about PVR and CUN airports but MEX makes them look like a dream. Truly pathetic.

Never again will I fly through Mexico City.
They make you go through Customs, Immigration and Security for nothing.
I was In Transit, but they don't give a fuck.
I could have made an earlier flight back home, if it wasn't for their bullshit.

Could be worse. My upcoming flight has a 7 hour layover in FLL. It was either that or pay literally double for a 2-hour layover via another airline. WTF am I going to do in one of the least popular international airports for 7 fucking hours?

I personally would never do that route again. Unless it were free.
Recently. There was "traffic" at JFK and THEN they tell us that the plane had been "overfueled". Another 45 min delay.
We arrive to FLL like 14 minutes after the other flight was supposed to have left and it was gone baby!
There were 5 of is stranded in FLL for 24 hrs till the next day's flight.
What a joke!
Wow. Usually airlines will delay the connecting flight (if it is only 14 minutes) and their next flight is the next day. It will cost less to do this than having to put everyone up in a hotel and food voucher.

There is a 55 min connection in FLL to change planes if you fly in from the NYC area, I was wondering if that was easy to accomplish. Also if JetBlue misplaced your checked luggage on this routing. Last time I flew United connecting in Bogota, they misplaced my luggage and I had to wait over 48hours for them to get it to me.
On their schedule there is even a 30 min connection but I figure that would be playing with fire?
I am actually taking that route next week so I will let you know how it goes. I am not crazy about the midnight arrival time but whatever, my vacation days are flexible. I have had connecting flights < hour without problems (with Spirit no less). As long as you don't need to check in your bag again you should be fine. Usually in FLL you just need to walk a few steps to the connecting flight.

Try booking now and the prices are closer to $800 R/T (AA) and $850 R/T (UA)! So I started looking to changing my destination back to Medellin again (would be trip #3 for 2015) Found JetBlue itinerary at $497 R/T all in, so that's why I am asking about connection time in FLL. But it looks like I fly AA for about $580 R/T, Copa & Avianca for $600 R/T so it looking like I won't be a TrueBlue convert anytime soon.
Lmarcone, with them leaving you stranded, did they compensate you with anything? Hotel room? Travel voucher?
Hotel room and a $20 food voucher.
