    Heya Sailor. Love that post!

I remember when I was new to the Colombia scene. Met this chica on Cupidos, beautiful, from Barranquilla.

Anyway, after the MSN chatting, phone calls, etc, I made my trip to Colombia to meet her.

She met me at the mall, with her mother. She was indeed the same chica, beautiful, sexy, etc. I was happy.

The fun started shortly after lunch. We went to the Exito store at the mall, or actually it was another department store at the time, but that doesn't matter, it was a big store.

It was her mother's idea to go there.

Me and the sexy Costena were walking together, hand in hand, I was happy. Her mother had a shopping cart, she was looking an stuff and filling up the cart. She had radios, a microwave oven, clothing, food, all kinds of stuff. I thought nothing of it. Like a trip to Walmart on payday.

Well we get to the checkout counter, the cashier chica asks for about a million and a half pesos and the mother says. Ricker paga por favor.

I was stunned, and said that I didn't have the cash on me, and she suggested putting on my Visa.

I re-grouped and told her I would have to go the cash machine for the cash. The mother was thrilled.

I left for the cash machine. And guess what? I never came back. They called my cel phone a zillion times and I just moved on.

Yes, they are sharks in Colombia. Beware.

So after doing some research I got a great recommendation from master monger called ASIAN RAIN on this company called www.edselection.com . The company is from India and sells you generic Cialis. I paid about $100 for 30pills and 4 free generic viagras to try (im not a fan of viagra). That included $10 unregistered mail shipping fee. After about 2 weeks a hand written orange envelope arrives from India. I open it up to see some basic instructions, details about the company and 30 orange, push pill professionally wrapped TADALAFIL tabs 20mg. I was psyched. Well upon arrival in Colombia my first night I pop one out and give it a whirl.. Gents may I tell you, JUST AS GOOD as the original and lasts a GOOD 36hrs as well easily. ALMOST like they were industrial strength lol. I felt like my 18yr old self again lol. The ONLY drawback is that they are NOT thin shell coated so make sure you have some water or coke nearby to swallow down more easy.

Bottom Line: Big thumbs up and thank you Asian Rain!
Haven't I read recently about quality problems with drugs out of India?

Dunno if they apply to this company but caveat emptor maybe?

    Miss Colombia

    Dude,

I wouldn't suggest Colombia, this is a HARSH enviorment; asian women are more submisive and alot more easy to handle, a colombian will screw your brains out, be much more sexy and then along with her local lover steal everything you own. Your chances of finding a colombian whom will honestly like you and not give you a hard time or run for your money is difficult. Unless you speak spanish and know the land I wouldn't suggest it.

The fact that your looking on those websties means your F***ed, Majority of those girls are not serious, I have met many girls here whom use the sites to after 4 weeks of chatting hit you up for money, if you don't give up they stop talking to you.

If you continue on your search in Colombia, with in the coming weeks you find these girls asking you for money, the reason will be many, and this will be your first warning sign. If by blindness and stupidity you choose to ignore this warning, she will continue to ask for more money, then stop talking to you, you will move on to the next girl on your hotlist or the next and then the next, one whom you have been chating for the past week also, she again will ask you for money or you may now start thinking that a trip to Colombia to vist your prospects are in order, you let the girls know that your arrival is near and make plans for your multiple city vists. These girls arnt stupid and realize that when your here the shoping trips begin. When you arrive youll be meet some some very pretty women all whom seem intrested in meeting you despite the fact that you don't speak spanish and they don't speak english, regardless they are overjoyed to meet you and begin to spend your money. Youll go to to dinners, see the sites, even go dancing, hit the beach meet the family, some girls may be bold enough to ask you for money at this stage.

At this point you weed out those girls whom are all about the money becuase after hitting the "***** houses" in your free time, your not as stupid (horney) as you were in the internet chatting days. But the real danger lies in the girls that don't ask for money, treat you like a king and even let you sleep with them, if she is hot enough and your type, you are now offically scrwed. Your 2-4 week trip is now over and you had more sex in those weeks then in most of your life. When you return home you can think of nothing eles but that chica, who is prefect for you, despite the fact that you barely know her name, and your conversations were limited to where your going to eat tonight. After a few more weeks of chating and some 2 minute phone calls, she will hit you up for money, becuase the family is in need, but if she is smart it won't be for too much. If she is really smart she won't ask for anything but wait for you to send some (which you will). Months go by and you make plans for your next vist to Colombia, maybe to pop the question and make plans for your purchase; I mean "wedding".

Its been a long road, lots of chicas, photos, meetings, dates, money wires, e-mails, phone calls you have meet some gold diggers and weeded them out maybe even some crazys. But you found the perfect one, she is hot, sweet, great in bed, and intrested in you, she even started english classes, that your paying for. You marry her arrange for the visa, maybe even knock her up, the problems that arise could be many, I couldn't even count all the troubles that could come from this, regardless please know your putting your life and fincial well being into play by trusting and marrying a women in the thrid world, you could be one of the lucky ones, one of the smart ones, whom can escape all the congames and find true happiness, but even at best, Even at best you will still be married! Whats wrong with you!

What do I know from Chinese?

Ok, I had tripe when I was in Bogota '76-'80. They called it something else, I can't remember. My Novia had decided she wanted to identify with the proletariat, so we went to a working class restaurant. I asked what some green flecks were, she said 'don't worry, it's only grass'. Call me picky.

Ah, you have to love the experience.

I've been living in Pattaya, Thailand for 13 years. In Thai, 'Khun' is 'Mister'.

When you make an indecent proposal to a girl, like, 'Let's go somewhere and get naked', they get indignant and say, 'Talung! '.

So, I'm 'Mr Rude', or something like that, although 'rude' is 'mai su pop'. Anyway, when I introduce myself, they know what kind of guy I am. I'll have to change my name when I move to Colombia, like, Senor Mine' (minay).

Mondongo is tripe soup. A Colombian fave.

La Pastizzeria is Italian fusion. Probably not what Menteng is searching for.

Mondongos serves Colombian specialties. They only have about five things on the menu. Mondongo (soup with tripe), grilled chicken, steak, bandeja paisa. That's it. This place has great service, good food, and is a venerable local institution. Very popular.

Fatto in Casa is IMO the best prospect to try.

You could check out Opera Pizza, where an Italian guy does pizzas, calzones and bruschette out of a pizza oven. Although if you didn't like Crispino, Opera Pizza is a step below in sophistication and not gonna do it for you, either.

Thanks again. Just in case you still don't know, mondongo are the intestines of a cow.

BTW, your nick, is that phonetic for those Chinese words?

Thanks for the recommendations. I think I will try Fatto. Mondongos sounds too local and pastizzeria sounds too pasta; I wonder if both know about "osso buco" or "abbacchio" or veal with marsala sauce.

He was at the entrance, welcoming the guests. Anyway, never order the carpaccio over there. The slices were drenched in vinegar, so it was like eating sour slices of meat, topped with mushrooms and cheese. A few drops of balsamico instead of the pool of vinegar would do wonders.

But I think, that they don't know the real thing (as little as they know real Chinese food). The sugo in those restaurants is too sweet, I don't taste oregano, no balsamico is used or the carpaccio is drenched in some undefined sauce.

To avoid another dissapointment, I bid you guys who know what I mean, please inform me.
