Having a beautiful Latin (Peruvian)wife less than 1/2 my age, I can say you both are correct. Her girlfriends,my wife and I often have this discussion. One of her girlfriends (a lawyer) will only date wealthy and "Married" peruvians twice her age. Another (also 25) would only date peruvian gangbangers who were 17/18.

The second one is now in love with my American friend who is 32 and middle class.

My wife comes from a poor but proud family and appreciates every thing I do for her and her family. I know she loves me for me and except for the fact that I can't drink beer and dance Salsa till 8.00 am, has no hangups about my age.

Her girlfriends are more interested in the "sexual" aspects of our relationship than the financial. (We Americans are percieved as lousy lovers).

I also have many "gringo" and Peruvian friends in their early 20's and my wife has absolutly no interest in them. On the reverse side there girlfriends do not seem to be interested in me!

As a general rule of thumb "I have found in my experience" that 40 is indeed the magic number and almost all girls fantasize about experiencing a May-December romance. I can say this based on my experience as 40 for me was over a decade ago! SHIT EATING GRIN 52 Y/0 W 24 YO WIFE EMOTICON.


Another point, Not a day goes by that 2-4 good looking adolescents either flirt with me (in a grocery store etc) or give me the (come hither) look on the street in front of their young boyfriends.

I also tend to get it from the (young northern european types)as well. I can also tell you the other 6,999,996 women in Lima seem to pass by without a glance.

This is where Surfer's diversity in desires theory wins out. Regardless of your age,looks,personality, finances there is always a segment of the female population that finds you desireable and the only trick is finding them!

he apparently has some special insight into the inner desires of every colombiana. imho, colombianas are more diverse in desires than his post would lead you to believe. yes there are some jovencitas who will hang with abuelitos for the pesos but prefer jovenes, but there are also a fair number who genuinely prefer more mature guys. shit eating grin emoticon (i am middle aged but look younger). age preference runs the full spectrum in colombia, unlike in the wasteland where (because of our femanazi taught culture) any young babe going for an older guy is belittled for having a [CodeWord901] complex.

just as some colombianas prefer colombianos but will hang with certain extranjeros, while other colombianas absolutely will not date colombianos (aka machistas), there is a whole spectrum of preference.

People believe what they want to. A lot of this is "Latinas liking older men" shit is pure bullshit. Trust me. Those dudes reconcile themselves with being the bank to those chicas. I speak Spanish, I speak to women under 30 and over 30 yr old on a regular basis. It's the same. They DON'T prefer older men, they just tolerate them. They just want a man who can provide security to her, her children, and her extended family. A lot of guys here confuse things, maybe purposefully, with reality. Speak with any non-pro Latina, without any sexual intentions. She'll tell you the same. If you marry her, of course, Latinas generally take their vows more serious, esp if she is even just a little religious. Just be 100% straight up with her. She'll hang in there with you.

If you speak Spanish, just meet a young chick in your age range with no children and watch. It really won't be hard to have to beat them off with a stick, esp. if you look decent and have manners. Even better, meet some Colombian dudes in your age range. More than likely, one of them will speak some English. He will be your sympathetic dude. He'll be the one to take care of you (with regards to not getting robbed and meeting honest chicas). They WILL bring you to the type of chicks you want.

The older dudes won't get this type of experience. They SHOULD always be jaded. I go to Colombia often. Just got back last week. I never made an attempt to contact any local mongers. My preference. My local male friends are approx. 10 yrs younger than me (I'm in my mid 30s), really cool middle-class professional dudes. They make it a point to find the best non-pro chicas that they know, and introduce me. Their girlfriends do the same. Why? I treat them all with the utmost respect. Money DOESN'T mean shit with them (remember there are plenty of major narcos around). It's a win-win thing. They get local respect for knowing a cool American. I get the bill, sometimes. No problems at all paying $40-50USD for 3 hours of drinking, for 6-8 people. But I also get to meet the cream of the crop locally. No guarantees on what happens next, but generally I haven't been disappointed very often.

Hopefully you are over 21, handsome and speak good spanish. In all LA countries it is accepted for younger women to be with older men. It is a little different with a Gringo as then the girl is labeled a Ho. The reason many seek the older guy is for security. For fun all women the world over prefer men around there own age or for women over 30 a younger guy. Don't sweat it and have fun.

My personal experience up to now. I was in the Dom. Rep. and I had absolutely no problem with italian. Maybe sometimes some words, but then i could ask in english whats the meaning in spanish and i knew it for the next time.

Also here in Switzerland almost every spanish oder portugies speaking lady speaks italian.

I understand spanish almost perfectly. To talk is about 50/50 but mixed with Italian its perfect!
