Hi. Can you share the contact? When I have left CTG the past few times this year, the testers were super slow getting results back.

+ 100. That is the perfect description of Bogota weather.

Can someone confirm this for me? I heard the weather is amazing right now from a friend whose out there but he's at Pereira.

So can someone whose in Colombia confirm whether this is true or not?

I'm not going to Colombia now, but I'm definitely a little worried if it keeps raining. I'm going the first 2 weeks of January and I need good weather to really enjoy my first trip to Colombia.

You're going in January and its December, way too early to be worrying about weather or predict it.

You're not saying where you're going. Medellin, Bogota and Cartagena have completely different climates. For example, I'm in CTG allot and its always a surprise rain shower that lasts about an hour and it can happen at any time.

Also, my chicas tell me the rainy season is from August to December.

    .
Its grey, cool and wet for much of the year in Medellin. Some call it the city of eternal spring. I call it the city of eternal winter.

The Caribbean coast has a much drier climate. It hardly rains for most of the year, but it does have a rainy season (when I caught dengue fever) from May-June. Also apparently CTG can be wet in Oct-Nov.

The rain in Colombia, especially in Medellin, can happen at any time, is unpredictable, and is a fact of life. It does not rain heavily all day long for days on end. Bring an umbrella and don't worry about it. If you really can't handle rain, don't go to Colombia. It rains quite a bit in most places.

Boarding an Avianca flight out of Mexico City and no word of vax requirement

So much shit going on with this tests and vaccination demands. I'm sitting at gate 32 in Mexico City International airport, fully checked in and waiting for an 00:40 flight with Avianca to Bogota. I was told no requirements for PCR tests nor vaccination.

I did fill out the online Checkmig card for Colombian immigration, and they did ask if you had received a vax, but no prohibition notices. Will publish my results after I clear immigration. In 5 hours. Fingers crossed.

The airport testing site is not open 24 hours.

I'm certain there are also testing locations in Medellin which are open on Sunday, but I didn't feel like spending another 2 minutes finding the information. I can see how spending a couple of minutes finding out easily accessible information can be completely exhausting. That damned Biden.
When you log in for an appointment you will see Sundays especially is limited hours. Also the best, most reliable site for info on entering Colombia can be found here:

Just click on the country that you need info on.

Biden's stupid one day requirement is the real hair in the ointment. He constantly promotes vaccinations, but makes no distinction between the vaccinated and unvaccinated when entering the US by air. I had made my reservation prior to his mandate and I return on a Monday. Not many options of getting the test on a Sunday.

We'll see but your article is from December 7 like my first link when they said vaccination or PCR. My second link was from the 8th where they said for tourists it is vaccination and PCR. So no one knows yet which one it will be for sure but my guess is that it is going to be both PCR and vaccine.

The one thing for sure is that in a few months it will change after this policy puts a major dent in their tourism dollars. They have changed things eight times in the last 15 months.
