Travelers wishing to enter Colombia must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test or a vaccination certificate starting on Dec. 14, Health Minister Fernando Ruiz announced on Tuesday.

Here is the part that is confusing:

If you have been vaccinated less than 14 days before, you must also submit the PCR test 72 hours in advance.

So this marks the eighth change in Colombian entrance policies in the last 15 months. You know now that the Duque administration and Colombia is truly an American ally because they have done the unthinkable: they have made the CDC look reasonable.
Hmmm not sure about your info, I saw this:

"Colombians, foreigners residing in Colombia, and diplomats and their families:

Pre-registration form of Migraciķand Colombia with the data of your trip on the Check-Mig page before coming to Colombia. You must enter the following link: Check-Mig.

Vaccination card showing that they were vaccinated at least 14 days before the date of entry to the country.

If they have not been vaccinated, they can bring a PCR test performed 72 hours in advance and with a negative result.

Foreigners not residing in Colombia but visiting the country for tourism or business purposes:

Pre-registration form for Migraciķand Colombia with your travel information on the Check-Mig page before coming to Colombia. You must enter the following link: Check-Mig.

Vaccination card showing that they were vaccinated at least 14 days before the date of entry to the country. It is accepted to have at least one dose.

They must bring a PCR test performed 72 hours in advance and with a negative result".

Looks like visitors will need both the vaccine and the test.

There are two separate categories of travelers.

    You're spot on, Mr. E.

Heading into Bogota on Saturday, then on to check out Frogg's recent discovery, Villavicencio. Been coming here since 1970, and Colombia's an always-exciting, wonderful place, filled with a colorful cast of great people.

Too bad so many Americans fear it so much. But, hey, better for the rest of us.

    Happy hols to all.

    Poly.

I put your claim to the test nearly 5 years ago, before moving to Medellin for a year. I told everyone what I was going to do and almost everyone had the same response: "Colombia is very dangerous. " While very few knew much about it, everyone could differentiate between Colombia and Mexico.

Cancun is not Colombia. Cancun is heavily advertised, not just to average beach goers as a perfect vacation spot but to college kids having no hold barred, all you can drink, uninhibited sex vacation. Most people still view Colombia as a country with heavy crime rates with drugs and gangs.

    Cash Problems

Apologies if this is a read-the-fucking-thread thing, but I'm having a problem here that I haven't had traveling elsewhere: no ATMs will give me money. I put the card in, it asks me if I want to withdraw from savings or checking account (neither works), and then it says the transaction failed. I called JP Morgan Chase and they couldn't tell me anything. What gives? I had to get COP from one of those shitty currency exchanges using my cards.

No, it is the test or the vaccine card.

Yes. That makes more sense than just the card.

Health Minister Fernando Ruiz spoke out against canceling flights to prevent the arrival of the variant, this measure seeks to restrict the entry of unvaccinated from abroad. It is not farfetched in that Cancun generates $20 billion per year in tourism dollars, and Colombian oil varies but it is in the $10 billion a year area.

If you want tourists though, you do not make it harder on them. Hell, Mexico is way easier than Colombia and Cancun was fucking packed when I went a few weeks ago even after the murders in tourist areas.

I saw an Indian wedding at my Cancun hotel. There were a 100 people in probably 50 rooms dancing outside and spending huge cash on food, drinks, and entertainment. If just one person in the whole party was not vaccinated, they could not have that event in Colombia.

How much did the travel ban cost Colombia? At least they admitted it was pointless. Now the question is how much is this vaccination card bit going to cost them? This is not showing leadership but following the crowd and being stupidly PC.

If you want tourism, you get money and improve infrastructure. In Peru, Mexico, and Ecuador, I rented a car and drove the highways always averaging 60 miles in hour. Hell, Mexico in some parts has better roads than the USA has.

I drove halfway between Medellin and Bogota and averaged 25 MPH. Seriously. And not only that the roads were dangerous to boot. In Cartagena, Bocagrande has two points where you enter into the peninsula like area, and that road is seemingly always flooded and causes traffic jams on the way to the nicest part of the city.

In Mexico, they are building a railway connecting Tulum and Cancun and putting in an airport in Tulum. In Cartagena, they are shooing away the hookers from the clock tower. Which approach do you think is going to win?
It is not a flight ban, or a ban on tourists. It is just a vaccination requirement. And for many parts of the world you need to be vaccinated to get on a plane, so if the country you are going to requires it there is no difference. And I have to be fully vaccinated to get into the USA and many other places. So they are only doing what the US is already doing.

But at random times cops come down on bikes blasting sirens forcing everyone to clear the sidewalks. This is where most the girls run into Space, Dulce is picky about which girls they let in since their target audience is guys who like fake ass and tits and that's mostly the type of girls they let in.

Also, many of my Chicas have bene telling me, this is only going on for Christmas so families can enjoy the decorations, after Christmas things will return to normal as 75% of tourists come there for sex, even the married man who brought his family along with him. One chica told me if they stop the girls from working CTG would loose a ton of tourist dollars and they will have no propose of building a bigger airport (the translator app must have translated wrong because I have no idea why CTG needs a second Airport).
Oh nice! Sounds good. Well I plan to mainly stay in Medellin and then I do like 3 days in Bogota and 3 days in Cartagena let's see. Can't wait.
