Watch your Ubers guys. When I got here the other day taxi was fixed price 30K from the airport. Leaving I checked Uber and it was 50K back to the airport. I asked the taxi at the hotel and he said 30K. So I called Uber for my girl to go home and I am in the taxi.

Yup I also saw Uber charging an arm and a leg for the airport. When you arrive at the airport you might guess why, there's about 200 taxi drivers that probably want to beat them up. You're really paying them for a round-trip.

One of my Uber drivers told me Uber takes a 30% cut, so that's why we get drivers canceling last minute, etc.

I prefer Uber because there are no metered taxis in BAQ and I hate the hassle.

Anyway once I understood its pointless to use Uber, someone recommended InDriver. This app is the best. You pick the price, and the drivers bid on the rides. There are always 5 drivers around and they pick up quick. Most are taxis. Works awesome, check it out.

Are you saying you called Uber even though they are 20 K higher than the regular Taxi? Or is there a typo in your post?

In Colombia, Uber is sometimes cheaper than taxi and sometimes more expensive. Both are cheap, so the difference is small. I usually hop in the first taxi that comes around rather than waiting 5-10 min for an Uber to show up. If no taxis are around I call an uber or I call a taxi using EasyTaxi app. Very many taxis in Colombia are on EasyTaxi. When I use Uber, I pay cash, like a taxi.

The advantage of Uber is safety because your trip is recorded. And the app decides the price not the taxista and his meter. Girls seem to prefer Uber.

The disadvantage is that ubers don't like to go where taxis congregate, like airports or redlight districts.

In Barranquilla taxis don't have meters! You should agree a price before you start the trip. The minimum for short trips in the city is 6 k (or was it 7? From the airport it's 25 k or 30 k depending how far north you go. The prices are listed at a booth in the baggage claim hall and you can prepay your taxi there.

I have found taxistas in Barranquilla generally honest. They may try to get 1 k or 2 k more, but they're working hard trying to make a living. However, if you look and talk more like a gringo, they may try and extract more from you.

If you want to see a younger crowd and good food and lots of bars in one place, plaza del parque across the street from buena vista is a good spot. Lots of dressed up beautiful girls in the area, if anything lots of eye candy here, and good food. This is an upper class crowd.

There's another bar with lot's of eye candy called frog bar. This is a little older crowd (25-40) than plaza del parque. Lots of beautiful Colombian women here but not many single, lots of groups that know each other. This is an upper class crowd.

I went down to la calle 8, it was daytime. You need to go with locals here, it's a bit sketchy, I was with a friend, we blend in, I haven't been there at night but it probably has a lot of potential if you can go in a group. Lots of bars in one place and a lot of girls from the south probably go here on the weekends.

One of the taxi drivers took us to a late night bar called Cosmo where you can take out girls. Mix of Colombian and Venezuelan, it's close to la Murillo. If you have a trusted taxi you can probably ask him to go with you go in, take out a girl for the night and be on your way. (100 k to 200 k).

I also went to a bar on calle 84. This is probably a more middle class crowd.

If anyone has suggestions or tips let me know.

I'll report on the spas if I get a chance to go these next couple days.

Been in BAQ for the past few days. God damn love this town.

Blue Barranquilla: Still love this place. 7 chicks now, and 100% turnover since I was there in October, well, except for the mama-san. For once they didn't change locations, and it looks to now be next to some sort of Church-house. Go at 5 pm to hear church service while you enter to get your service. Bendiga a Dios.

The 2 x1 x65 k trio still rocks, my buddy did it twice. Loved Keli, who sort of looks a tad asian and has 15 tatt's.

Adam's Apple: As mentioned, right around the corner from Blue. I didn't take, but did see the (3) girls, all 6-8, my buddy pulled Jenny and raved about her booty, body, and service. No mamasan, they seem to sort of run the place on their own.

Spa Holistico. Went Tuesday when they have their 50% off. 4 girls at 2 pm. Took Maria (7) for the underwear massage, and unfortunately for her she wasn't wearing a bra. She's got great looks but the whole massage was a big upsell for more. "Can't touch me" Someone said its the only place for a good massage which is why we went but massage was terrible. Jackhammer HJ to finish, yawn. Paid the HR but were out in 35 minutes. Maybe it's 50% off the quoted time. Funny aside, they have 2 gals for 120 k (underwear) or one girl for 40 (clothed). Took my buddy 5 minutes to explain that he could have 2 girls for 80, clothed. They could not get it. Are their prices really double the rest of the time, it would be the worst place ever if so. Other 3 girls 5-6. Won't be back.

Mariangel Spa: Hit this on the way to the bus station to Santa Marta. 5 gals, 5-7. They did the presentation with names and perfunctory handshakes, then all lined up in front of us, loved that as I never remember the names. I had prices from their Whatsapp and took the 50 k for 15 minutes, we went 20. Girl told my buddy it was 80 k for half hour and he got about 15 minutes. Hate the rip off we won't be back.

Luxury Spa: Got back from Santa Marta late and went here as its supposedly 24 x7. Arrived at 9. 5 gals, 4-6, we reluctantly took the two hottest. I got a tall Venezolana and enjoyed her deepthroat for my half hour. My buddy had a girl who was explaining her sex empire. Proudly claims she fucks 15 guys a day and is pulling 30 million pesos a month. Proudly! When we were all done, they wouldn't let us leave as there were clients downstairs for presentations so we waited 10 minutes more upstairs. "You can't be seen together" Strange. Enjoyed for sure but 80 k (+20 ON) seemed a tad high for the quality.

Bananas (Santa Marta): Popped in here for a beer to check it out, sat for 10 minutes and never got a glance from any of the 15 chicas (5-7) sitting around eating shit to get even more fat. Not quite sure how it works, but waiter said it was 70 k /30. I'm sure it would have been OK but it was sort of a check-it-out before dinner and we didn't make it back. Next time will try, but my expectations are low. I'll have to post on Sm board why it gets good reviews.
